The price per acre is actually less than what I paid for my land in MD 25 yrs ago.
Another little peak to SE. can see my car at edge of corn field where a drive comes up. I need to find out if this is an easement thru the church lot. Tax maps does not show this lot going down to the road.

Looking down the drive, wished I had a picture of the nice creek below.

65°F and .02 inches rain

Another good painting day in caretaker unit yesterday.

Guys won H&F last night and dinner was delicious.

Family drama, guess it’s one of those universal things. Venting about it part of the process.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good morning! 47˚F after a low of 23˚F early this morning. With sunny skies and the wind changing from the South the temps will reach 57˚F this afternoon and only go down to 34˚F tonight so the mulch cover on the 9 potatoes sprouts (found 3 more up when I was covering yesterday) will can come off today.

Prayers for Buppies.

Drew always make mask optional and welcomed for those that feel vulnerable. The Dentist still had mandatory mask, the orthopedic Dr. and the physical therapy with Egor also required mask, they are the only ones since Christmas. Our alligator infestations are in the teens.

The German bride that got married on our farm and their ring bearer son both got bit by the alligator last week. . . No they were not.

28° snow has let up for now. Measured 5.5” and it is wet and heavy. Gonna let Mother Nature remove this one.

My wife found a 2nd and 3rd grade report card in stuff her mom gave her. It said “Does not listen or follow directions well”

I’ve tried to stay out of the sister in law drama, but got nuked any ways. I feel so sorry for her 2nd husband, being led around. All I hear him say is “yes Dear”

Sorry for the alligator bites Don.

We are definitely not rich, but have always been comfortable. We tried to instill moral values, a good work ethic, and common sense. Two out of three kids got it right.... this one? We can't figure it out, probably never will.
We have had similar problems with my youngest stepson. Seems he has a never-ending overabundance of bad choices that he's always in a hurry to use up. We'll sit him down and talk with him, and he'll agree with us 100%, then go right out and do the wrong thing anyway. Every. Time.
Wow, sounds like I'm not the only one having to deal with stuff like this...
thanks
No, you definitely are not.

14°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 30° today. Wind chill was -1° when I went out to feed the chickens, and that wind was definitely cold. The Carhartts earned their keep today. Still forecasting 60° for tomorrow, and I see it will be warming through the night tonight. I'm OK with that.

Nice views from that property, BEF.

Snow's still coming down...it's Ol' Man Winter's way of saying "Here ya go! A little reminder and I'll see y'all next Winter!"
Wind's whipping (up to 45 MPH according to Weather Underground) so it's hard to say how much we got...about 5" on the deck railing though...

Not going to worry about clean up until it's done...plus, with that wind, anything I get off the drive and walks will probably blow back on. With diesel selling at 5 bucks a gallon, I'm not going to waste the fuel

Took large section for biopsy Dr thinks more skin cancer
Prayers for you, your wife and your business.
Tomorrow will be really good news, funny it's my birthday tomorrow
Hap hap happy birthday Sir Drew! Now we know why you have new SUV itchy trigger pulling finger. :) Have a blessed day. Hope SIL gets good treatment and has light case.
Yes. The one we sold the house to at $75-100K under value. Another kick in the butt
Sad, but the main sadness will come from him someday, when he looks back at the grief he's caused. Someday, he will need your help. Keep them both in your prayers, even though you are upset. They (him and young wife) need prayer and maturation. You will need to forgive them sooner or later. If they don't "come to their senses", you can forgive them and let it go. Forgiveness will lower your stress, emotion and anxiety. Prayers for your family. Give it to God.

thought the snow was over but wow it's like a blizzard out there now, very windy, glad I'm not out driving
I shoveled the walkway and threw down some eco salt, but not going to clear the driveway. It will be all melted in two days anyway.
But for now old Man Winter is making hopefully a final appearance.

been having a lazy day, had a nice nap after lunch, now just watching the snow swirl down.

you folks in the east (USA) batten the hatches, I saw predictions of 50mph gusts for some.

I just changed the front (upstream) O2 sensor in the car. Car was showing only about 27.5 mpg, and I know it can get closer to 32mpg. 104,000 miles. My friend who's a emissions compliance field worker for large gas compression engines, says the upstream is most important. If it starts letting engine run too rich, it can ruin your catalytic converter and that's expensive. I paid $47 for a Denso from Amazon. Watch out for counterfeit sensors.

Texas A&M men's basketball, have turned a corner after a big losing streak. Beat #4 Auburn yesterday, and just now beat Arkansas in the SEC conference tourney. Definitely playing some good ball right now.

I found this amusing, no wonder English is hard.....seems like we could clean it up.

Good evening all. The wind is rattling our slates again, it has been gusting on and off all week and drawing the fire like crazy. Almost makes me long for the calm foggy days of a damp autumn.

Wng, I appreciate now why there is fencing on those shelters. It can't be easy to get a good night's rest while boars and bears are wanting to share your sleeping bag !

BEF, looks to be some nice rolling land in those pictures. If there are no restrictive covenants, how easy is it to get permission to one day build a house on your own land ?
In the UK gaining planning permission for a new dwelling in the countryside is almost impossible, regardless of how much land you have.

Nice gravel. Wonder how much that comes to per rock?
Now you got me thinking ... Ok, I will start counting tomorrow.
If you get a PM from my wife, please confirm it was your idea and suggest she tells the men in white coats to let me out of the straight jacket

32 with fairly heavy snow and high winds, our dusting has been changed to around three inches. I’ll be glad when winter is finished.
Buppies, sorry to hear the prognosis. Prayers for you.

My son and his wife just bought property in Grandy, NC, Currituck County just a few miles north of the Outer Banks. They originally were going to use it as a vacation house once it was built, but now I think they are going to live there. I don’t blame them for getting away from Northern Virginia.
I was raised near there and always liked that area.

:

Give them $$$$$

Am surprised looking at appraised values there. More than here near the city. I think they are really appraised high.
