Good morning.
It’s 38 here and not going to change more than a few degrees. Bright sun in a clear sky.

Yesterday was as I expected. Didn’t get home until midnight. Was raining when we left Grove City, but cleared up east of Harrisburg.
The last landing of the night was into Philly, nice view. That was about a 3 second exposure with my iPhone.

Gas here is $3.999, had about a 50 cent jump in the last week. Sure makes me glad that my daily driver is a Prius.
I’m looking forward to not going anywhere for a while, and getting to spend some quality time in the shop, with Emily and of course, the mrs.

. Walked out of a meeting yesterday, 2 hours of blah, blah, blah, blah and not once did we cover anything related to the purpose of the meeting….me teaching the warranty administrator how to do warrants reporting. Instead it was complain about the name of files, complain about location of files, etc.

I have always said that meetings are were where minutes were kept, and hours were wasted.

I heard a report yesterday that some captured Russian soldiers said they were told by their leaders that they were "liberating the Ukrainian people from a neo-**** government". What a bunch of bunk!
If that's true, explains why groups of unarmed civilians are stopping some tanks. Confusing to those Russian soldiers expecting to be hailed as "Liberators".....

I hope and pray for a fast end to this conflict.

Drew, those A-10’s would make shirt work if that convoy. But then the bully would just escalate.

I had that same thought this morning, Drew. That would be like a dream come true for those guys.
my best friend's younger brother trains pilots on B52's. They are all speculating what they would like to do:
He'd use 30mm depleted uranium rounds. Paint a few A10's blue and yellow and loan them to the Ukranians. Can't imagine those are too hard to fly. They really need to get on the convoy before it starts moving again. I'd blow up the bridges too.

just means more dead people dying for the wrong cause; hope today's diplomacy works.

Also read China asked Russia to hold off invading the Ukraine until after the Olympics.
Follow the money

Paul, that picture over Philly is amazing. Can almost see the roundness of the Earth in it.

got gas, 3.99 for Plus in NJ, and then stopped at park across from home on way back and walked the outside of all the fields. They have a nice paved track though
I walk in the grass at times, not as hard on feet. Felt good to get some exercise.

and then made plans to see my 94 year old MIL next week at nursing home in Doylestown and also two floors up a 97 year old member of church who asked me to visit when
I was there. 97 years old and taking care of a daughter with ALS. I'll help her as much as I can. I think she wants me to do something about a garden at church actually.
I'm kind of curious. Both elderly ladies enjoy the attention. Maybe I'll bake a batch of blueberry muffins and take them each a few.

Best wishes for Sophie sent

When my uncle visited our relatives in the Ukraine, back in the 80's when it was still part of the empire.
They would not believe my uncle that we had 2 cars, refrigerators and TVs all in one household.

They kept telling him to stop the US propaganda while they ate out of a common bowl shared with the animals and regaled him with a great find on new shoes that were only 2 sizes too big and had taken six months of checking and standing on lines to procure.

I can believe the poor Russian soldiers don't know any different than what their government tells them.

A10 is very hard to fly when the guns are going. Those guns can stop the plane dead in mid air.
some warthogs on the Ukrainian side would be nice though!

Paul - great pictures- it's been a long time since I have flown, should be in lots of planes end of June.
Then I will be complaining that I am spending too much time in planes :)

Praying hard for peace.

When the insurance industry steps into a fray, it is serious. And this just upped the level of concern across the globe.
