Good morning!!!!

My Jeep is a CRD and miles ahead of my diesel Suburban I had 35 years ago.

Is there a horsepower limit on tractors? My little MF is a 2018-19, can’t remember which, it has no visible emissions devices and smells like an old Diamond Reo running, and plenty of black smoke on startup.

IIRC, 25 HP is the cutoff. More then 25 HP requires tier 4 emissions controls

i think it's 25.5 or something precise but the manufacturers then round it up to a 26 to make it sound bigger. Normal.
It's been that way for a while now. Kubota's next model up is a 31hp I believe. So for 6 more hp, if you don't get a lot more hydraulic power,
not sure what more horsepower in that size tractor gets you. Except a DEF tank. Though other manufacturers seem to have different solutions.
Larger frame and weight likely more important.

I'm sure the Porscheophiles are wailing away due to the loss of several iconic models like the GT3.
I hope they put that ship out but if they already took all the crew off, questionable.
I wonder if every car would have to come with a salvage title assuming it doesn't go to the bottom. It was floating pretty well, just on fire. Metal boats will do that.
Weather didn't look bad either. The onboard fire crew apparently couldn't control it. There will be a big investigation for sure.

That's one big insurance claim. Ship's manifest better be in order. But if it was coming from Germany with Porsches and Audis in it, maybe some VW's.
Germans are very serious about maintenance so I wonder if one of the cars caught on fire.
Like an awful lot of parked cars have done. Audi makes a bunch of EV's, so does VW.
What started the fire. The plot thickens.

meeting at church to plan new signage was endless but finally back home and feet are up.
munching on a store made turkey burger stuffed with little bits of different colored sweet peppers.
Plus I cooked it with portabella mushrooms which I like a lot.
pretty good, overcooked it a little but mushroom juice kept it moist.

Good evening all. 20F for the start, clear sky, light breeze. Light wind day, sky stayed clear, and high temp was 53ºF, DP 12ºF. Clean ashes and restoke insert to start the day, putter rest of morning. bike raid and nap in afternoon. Took wife out to dinner, Friday crowd was running late today.

Dftodd thanks for explanation.
Paul quit the temp fall. Hope you stuck to your plan. thanks for Emily update.
Drew it is my guess they would add to fuel if that would work. Computer controlled fuel injection and better injectors cut the smoke.
PJ when my step daughter first moved to Texas, they had 2 inch snow, she went to work , no problem 75% of plant stayed home 😱
Ken I hate it when already for snow then does not happen. Much worse here then back in Missouri.
Eric if it shows up on my table it is descented :)
Eric good luck with air pressure project. Keep us posted.
Dftodd, ain't it the truth.
Rich sound like the support call when the guy say computer won't boot, when told to check plug in wall the response was can't, lights out with power loss ! 😲

Good morning, low temp is 12°F and going down to 10. Wind ESE 16 mph. Snow. They say 5cm, by the time I get outside it will be 5". They say centimetres, we get inches.

The International ISX engine needed a complete EGR system rebuilt last summer. On warranty and I ended up with a rental for three weeks.
The sticker on the door said the maximum Gross Vehicle Weight Rating was 61,900 kgs/136,470 lbs and was licensed for 63,500 kgs/139,000 lbs. I think the rental company voided the warranty. I helped as I load to the license. Both trucks had DEF and EGR systems. With mine I found that if you drive it hard, it wouldn't go into 'regen' as often as my buddies truck would, he drove his sedately. When the trucks go into regen you aren't supposed to shut them off AND you had to park them.
That is kind of hard to do when there is only about 2' of soft shoulder where I haul AND the terminals I haul out of insist the trucks be shut off when loading. So, do you give up your place in the line up so the truck can regen, or drive it hard so it doesn't need to regen?
I drive it hard.

Yeah, I know I am up early...Dog and bladder woke me up, went back to bed and watched the clock for a half hour and decide to get up. I can have a nap after I plow this morning.

Snowing pretty good out right now. Not as heavy as I have seen it, but close.

Have a safe day all

me, too, Buppies.

22 and nice moon here, too. I forgot to go out and wave to the ISS as it flew over about 20 minutes ago. Trying for 54F today.

Cleaned the woodstove and started a nice warm fire...always looks so sharp after cleaning the front glass door.

Eric, good luck with that project..you are certainly the Sultan of Siphons, so likely you will be the Master of Millibars.
