Far be it from me to try to stand up for car salespersons, but with new car production severely restricted, I can't really blame the dealers for trying to cover their fixed costs by jacking up the price on whatever is on the lot. Same for commissions: Fewer sales, higher commissions, just to keep bread on the table and the mortgage paid.

That said, I hope I never find myself in a position where I'm forced to buy another four wheeled vehicle. There's nothing out there I want, and as long as I can keep fixing what I have, there's really no incentive to "upgrade".

Now where's that old two cents emoji when you need it?

It's on back order expected due date 60 days.

I wish that I could say I wouldn't be in the market for a new truck in a couple of years.
Living in the "great" northeast were they have to pander to the lowest common denominator and have a bare road
policy in the winter so much salt and calcium is used that vehicle frames and bodies don't survive for long.
And talk about fun trying to unbolt a lower frame component after about 3 years will be an experience in futility.
Unless one plans well in advance and gets one of the available under carriage treatments and keeps up with re-applications.

Got my alligator kits today now to find an out of the way place to store.

Wire closet shelves working out as hoped.

just keeps getting nicer and nicer David.

Lou I honestly haven't kept a truck long enough in the past to experience rust, but this Ram is a rotter.
It's been patched up a number of times but still looks nice, and you know how nice they drive.
But I really don't want to get another layer of salt applied to the bottom unless I drive through the car wash going home with the undercarriage wash.
I asked body shop guy about rust, and he said they all rust, regardless of brand.

I never paid much attention to rust guarantees, and often they require perforation to initiate a fix, but my 2014 truck has had at least two quarter panels redone.
In less than 8 years. Used in NJ all its life with lots of salt.

We got some rain today and snow coming overnight. So they say.

The ONLY new car I've had in my life was actually leased.
Would I do that again? Not likely.
The 2013 Dodge Journey is serving me as good as can be expected, me being the third owner.
The '01 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) has a rotten frame and the body isn't all that good either. Welders up here wont touch frame work. So I am in the market for another Jeep with a bad drivetrain. Mine is good including the 4 Litre motor.
I think I know where one is, but will wait until this summer when I get back up to Thunder Bay to check it out.

@Buppies I had to look that car up.

Nice car but no matter how much money I had would I ever pay that much for a single car.

Nothing against anyone who does though. If it's their money, they can spend it like they want.

Told my wife about the abrupt change in hydraulic oil delivery at work. She manages a store for a major equipment rental company. She has a bulk tank for the hydraulic oil. She is now restricted to 2 - 5 gallon buckets/month. She is 1 blown hose away from being out of hydraulic oil
Darn, another thing to stock up on.
If we thought not being able to get T6 was bad wait until all the delivery vehicles start breaking down because of no hydraulic fluid.

Continental GT off lease CPO best way to buy generally low miles, I do not own one but can dream. Reasonable to repair if you use VW who can do all work at reasonable prices warranted work as well. We own some pretty nice cars although some age now I for one never say never first thing I end up doing

Well, my computer audio success was short lived. Had it working, hooked up hdmi cable, now it says no audio device again. Doesn’t matter what I do, nothing.
