Good evening all. 42F at start of day, overcast and windy,, trace rain on truck windshield. Temps fell till about 10AM, precip not reaching ground. Wind back off 11 AM slower through day. High temp was 53F and midnight, low temp forecast to be 29F at 11:59PM. Bike ride this morning, not as much fun as normal for some reason 
40 miles with warming stop near middle of the ride, finnished up ok after that. Made fire in insert when I got home, lunch then nap.

Buppies neat story, never heard of Louisiana water dog. Did deer run off at lights coming on?
Don was really cold biking this morning with 24F wind chill + the wind from riding.

RNG sorry rain is gone, we had almost 1 inch forecast for mid week, now 1/3 inch. Good to hear only 1 valve need adjustment on touring bike. Good luck with trees.

I initially only found 5. When I went back through it, I found 6. So, I went back through it two more times and got 6 both times (Quality Jerk doing a 100% sort
It is a fascinating exercise.

Don, the ROPS caught the branch. I forgot I had a ROPS. It came down and wedged me in somehow. Happened real quick. Reversed back and forgot about it until I realized the pain wasn't going to go away after a few days.

Good morning, low -15°F and going to a high of 1. Wind ENE 6 mph. Sunny.
Somehow yesterday after I turned the remote on for the tractor block heater, it got shut off. I do have indicator lights outside but I hardly ever look at them after I turn it on. So the tractor wasn't as warm as it likes, to start. It did start after two heat plug cycles, but it stumbled and farted for what seemed to be 3-5 minutes then finally smoothed out. Filled the shelter with half burned diesel smoke, but the door was open and the smoke dissipated. I think when I last fuelled it I forgot to put in some Power Service anti-gel. As soon as it started I thought maybe the fuel is trying to gel, so in all the smoke I went around to the other side (I only get in and out through the left door) and dumped in 1.5 oz. Usually it only gets 1 oz to the fuel up, but I thought 1.5 wouldn't hurt either. She smoothed right out and after 15 minutes of warm up time off she went to do what I wont do. It took from 09:15 to 12:15 to do my place and the other 3, including pushing back the banks. The last warm day we had I sprayed a full can of Pam on the BB including the pivot points and that made a world of difference to the way the snow curled off the blade. Before that snow was sticking to the blade and I would have to jerk the BB to get it off. Not yesterday.
Today is an energy conservation day and search the web for a dipstick heater for the hydraulics on the tractor and also a remote starter for it as well.

38F. Been dropping since about 70F yesterday, and will keep going to 21...likely snow today.

Stayed pretty busy until dark...cleaning woodstove, bringing in firewood, repairing/strengthening a pallet, lubing the FEL, swapping off the bucket for the grapple, and a few associated chores. Lubing goes so much faster with the battery grease gun, but always seems to take a long time on the clean up.
Lit the woodstove this morning, so wife will be happy when she gets up.
