RNG, surely a solipsistic Kyle would believe tbn and all of us exist only in his own imagination?

Kyle, wish you never took it off the shelf in the first place - all us imaginary folk have wasted far too much time today working out the meaning of "solipsism" :)
I'm still trying figure out how to pronounce it...

Quick trip to HD. Was expecting the Magic Chef fridge to arrive Thur, but was told to check Mon & Tue. Good thing as they had arrived. Unable to get salesperson on phone to pay so made the trip and bought in person. Good thing as I wasn’t only one waiting. Even better it was $30 cheaper than last week 🤙. Took advantage of the trip to pickup my plumbing pieces. ☹️ the 1/2 x 1/2 valve as marked on the box turned out to be wrong size in the box grrrrr. Luckily the waste line pieces were correct and have been installed
Won’t be returning wrong size part until Thu.
Just enjoyed a Supreme frozen pizza morphed into a super meatlovers, adding sausage, sliced turkey, kielbasa, and more cheese. Yummmmm.

Ordered some LED grow lights for greenhouse.

Also ordered our taxpayer paid covid test kits from USPS with hopes not to use.

26F and partly cloudy @ 20:00, high hit 31.1F today. Headed down to a low of 27F overnight, but "big" warm up tomorrow (predicting a high of 39F) with rain/freezing rain later, followed by a steep drop in temps (highs in 20's, single digit lows)

We got about 12" of snow with that last storm but had high winds which ended up blowing it around some and into drifts.

Nonetheless, was able to fire up the van and make it up and down the driveway several times (despite the city leaving a large pile of pushed snow right in the middle of it) Kind of surprising, given the tread depth on the rear tires is only 4/32nds ... but the thing is a goat.

I had gone out to try and start the van about a week ago and was surprised that it started right up, given that it has several bad glow plugs. I think that it has a slight parasitic electrical draw, where if it sits for a couple of weeks, it flattens the battery. A project for this coming summer. In answer to MG's question from sometime back: nope, never checked the voltage.

Woman worked on shoveling the entryway while I was doing that and I salted it after I was finished.

Refilled hopper feeder yesterday, it was empty. Still fairly full today. The winds with the snow storm had blown snow into the bottom couple of inches of the two sunflower tube feeders so I brought those inside and took the bottoms off so the snow could melt. Need to get those filled and put back up tomorrow, probably put out more corn for deer. Know they're still out there ... can see some tracks in the snow. Seems to be fewer though so hunters may have taken some.

Got The Woman all caught up on The Expanse as far as everything that has been released on Amazon. Now it's just New Episode Fridays.

White Feather hostas seem to be doing good. Woman said to let them grow in the square pot awhile longer:

IMG_1498 copy.jpg

Still don't really have so many that we can't keep track of them without labels (despite all assertions by Drew to the contrary ... ;))

Coleus all doing well too, but still very small.

Completed another trip around Old Sol about a week or so ago so that's in the books.

Cat treat supply is now at a critical level ... so probably will venture out tomorrow for that.

Hope everyone is having a great day ... (y)

I got home about 3:30, apparently they were able to get the margin on the first try because I was only in surgery for about an hour and he reconstructed my ear and we had to wait for the frozen section on my leg.

Thank you for the prayers and well wishes, they really do work!

Don, you’ve motivated me to start a program to increase the range of motion in my shoulders.

Drew ordered mine today also, now the race is on to see who get's theirs first, and who uses theirs first.
Drew will you be able to run around outside at each train stop and sample the weather?

Drive to Mom's wore me out today but after a quick nap was able to squeeze in 5 mile bike 1.5 mile Whipper hike.

Kyle if you or any of your kids has trouble sleeping just read this:

Glad your surgery went well Randy and happy belated birthday RS.

Kyle smelling any smoke?

A control burn on a dry and windy day, what could go wrong, hold my beer . . .

Question do you think that if a VFD was involved in this control burn they should be liable for any damages?
I know Rick said his VFD stood by on control burns but at a meeting in our VFD I said I would not be involved in any control burns, that is not the purpose of the VFD and we were not insured for any liability so only the fire officers would be liable. Our VFD stopped facilitating control burns. There are actual companies that do control burns but they have insurance and and charge a lot.

Drew, thanks for the link, ordered mine today.

Randy, glad to hear the surgery success.

Don, way to go! You just don't want Egor to have any fun!😮😲

RS, happy belated birthday! Hope many more trips....

Wifey is happy, shelf was "perfect" (I found a small scrap piece of laminate countertop) Total of 3 cuts and 3 screws....done.

Decided to do the propane run today... I'm still missing one tank.... asked the son if he possibly could have left it behind (he did last run)---- his answer--????
So, bought 2 more 40# tanks / fill..... a quick $300 spent.
Since I was in a spending mood, went to Costco. I got off easy there, only $281.
I was expecting to get oil and windshield wipers to replace my depleted stock, but neither were on sale, so passed on them this trip. Did get one of their rotisserie chickens for dinner. It was delicious!

I swapped out the single wet cell battery on the new RV with 2 AGM batteries. I was concerned about the interface / converter for the solar panels being able to charge them.... all good! One press of a button and it's set for AGM. Both batteries/cases just barely fit, another 1/4" and they wouldn't. Also got the tire covers put on. We can't wait to get going somewhere......

Good evening all. 43F for the start, light breeze, partly cloudy sky. Windy, partly cloudy sky with more cloud on horizon, and high temp 72F, DP 39F. Weather going to cool off then go up and down with more fire days then not in 10 Day forecast. Putter to start day, then bike ride in the wind, air penalty was 1.1 mile :( After lunch tried out chain sharpening job worked good, got most of pile bucked before tank ran dry. Not much splitting required on that pile. Then nap :) Grilled brats for dinner.

The downside to not cleaning snow Monday is it’s all ice now. Should have pushed the short paved section right off the road. Came home, stopped at end of drive to get mail, and couldn’t go, even with AWD. Had to back on to dry road and get some movement. Not much slope either.
Warmer tomorrow, before more snow Thursday morning, and cold Thursday night and Friday.
My Amazon package due last week by USPS isn’t coming. Amazon said to submit for refund, they could not send replacement order. Was one of those oxygen meters you put on a finger.
Another item supposed to come today by UPS didn’t come either. A couple Shure wireless mics for church. I’ll give it a day. At least tracking showed it arrived in town and out for delivery.
New cat doing a lot better, although it was in my lazy boy.
