34 outside this AM. Heading to lower 40's.

Yard and pastures are a muddy mess. Will take the better part of the day and move some branches, sticks and twigs to the burn piles now that most of the snow has melted and exposed them.

One of my game cams had to be recovered from the downed tree it was attached to. Yep, whole tree came down, but surprisingly not captured on the video. A few birds decided to make the tree position their new hangout to escape the snow.

Yet more firewood to recover, if the ground has a nice hard freeze.

Hope all have a good start to the work week. Be safe.

good morning all
29 degrees and that is the high of the day, temps steadily going down, but nice sunny day

was hoping to get car washed today but don't think they will open due to cold temps. Maybe, will see when I go foodshopping this morning.
I will make sure I open all the car doors and lock/unlock if I do get it washed, don't want doors freezing up. I wish we had a quarter car wash locally, just
want to blast off worst of salt.

going to call primary doc and ask to start process of getting epidural for neck. And I probably also need a root canal.
Trying to trade myself in on a new one but trade value poor... ;)

Good morning all. It feels colder out than the thermometer suggests, my face is still numb from a short trip round the hayfield to collect the last of the mole traps.

Our daughter teaches disabled children so she has regular Covid tests. Two positive tests mean she is now off work for the rest of the week and likely passed it on to us at the weekend. Good thing is that my wife was able to order groceries online for delivery later this week. Not only will we not starve, the Great White Egret on the big pond can carry on fishing without constantly looking over his shoulder for a desperately hungry man with a gun :giggle:

I wonder what the median age of the GM posters is ?

Pop, you can add me to your spreadsheet with 66 years at the last count.

34° headed to a high of 35° and windy. We got about 1/2 “ of light rain yesterday. At least most of the snow left when it got in the fifties yesterday. I’m rooting for spring.

My daughter and I went to my late wife’s resting spot yesterday, beautiful spot on the lake, what an eternal view.

Good Morning!!!! 52F @ 5:00AM. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 61F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.
A little warmer today, but otherwise pretty much the same weather as yesterday. I'm not complaining.

Glad your slide didn't result in any unpleasant surprises, Paul.

You've got most of a year to catch up, Bruce. No hurry...

Hope you both dodge the Covid bullet, Eric. I'm still half a year away from your 66, but a full year away from collecting my "Full Benefit" of our Social Security.

The burn yesterday was slower than usual due to the higher moisture content in most of the wood, but that's a good thing in my book. I really don't like big fires, and smaller ones eventually get the job done. I was amazed, though, at how crowded some of the branches on the live oaks I was limbing and burning had gotten. They were packed solid, couldn't see through them, and had to be cut apart in several places to even pry them off the main trunk. Even the trunks were twisted and bent in every direction, pretty much useless for stove wood as it wouldn't stack worth a darn. First time I got through all eight batteries on the Makita saw.

Still plenty of trees left in the pile, so I'll probably just burn for another day. Easier to ride the horse in the direction it's already goin'...

Good Morning.
It’s 25 with a gentle 20kt Northwest breeze. Clear skies and the temperature is in a slow, but steady decline for the next few days.

Yesterday was spent mostly in the shop, didn’t achieve anything remarkable, cleaned about 10 lbs of metal chips out of the bandsaw tray, put some cut off bits and pieces in bins for later use.

Driveway and roads never got icy, so I did make it out for lunch, brought back some more Limoncello to spoil the wife after dinner.

Other than loading bags of feed into the barn, no idea what today will bring.

Morning all, some random but sunny weather coming up, so days 20's some 40's
Rain last night seems to have mainly dried before it got cold this morning (was 40 until 4am, temp is going Down all day)

Day job will keep me busy this week.

Stay safe and be well,

Today we are off to India to the largest carved Hindu temple buildings in the world at Elora and Ajunta.
All carved out of solid stone. When we were there, it was way over 100degrees F, even in the caves. With high humidity. The detail is amazing, down to small statues on the outside of the buildings

16°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 38° today. Should have highs near 50° for the last half of the week.

That's quite the dramatic video, Roy. I don't imagine there are many people on the planet who have survived both a plane crash and a train crash in such a short period of time.

   / Good morning!!!! #143,813
I wonder if the pilot in Roy’s video has been struck by lightning yet.
That was like a scene from a movie.

Eric, did your daughter have any symptoms? Some people in the neighborhood are reporting a positive covid test but no symptoms. I sometimes wonder why they took the test if not job related.
Popgadget put me down for the same year as Eric.

Good morning! 36˚F heading to the 50s, partly cloudy skies. Looks like the only pool days will be Thursday or Friday when the temps reach 70.

Busy week this week with PT appointments and Dr. appointment. I'm not trying to think of Egore's upcoming PT sessions. My knee is a little stiff from the mile walks each day this weekend.

Looks like some of y'all are having some seriously cold temps. Drew do you have a small electric home pressure washer if there are no quarter washers nearby? I have one but it's not for salt it's for cow manure from Mom's.

Does nature’s work count?
Nature is still king, Paul. I can tell you that hiking in the Grand Canyon will remove any potential lingering doubts.

It was more a statement of the artistic works of the hands of man. Most of the "grand" buildings of our time are just large boxes of steel and glass, not nearly as inspirational as the detailed work of the hand-carved Hindu temple in Ken's pictures.

   / Good morning!!!! #143,818
Don, I do, but it's winterized with antifreeze.
But I got lucky, car wash was open, chatted with nice lady LEO from Solebury township, driving a hybrid
Explorer. I asked her about the gas mileage and she said it was amazing, way better than prior patrol suv's.
These folks don't do high speed chases here for sure
I introduced myself and she looked at me for a moment and said Oh you're x's brother?
Yup. Small town.

grocery shopping done, now to head off to local apple orchard. Lovely bright blue sky out

66°F and .02 inches rain.

Trip to Waimea this morning. Visit the Habitat ReStore just to see if they have anything we’d like, especially for the caretaker unit.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
