Sound serious. Hope you get better.
thanks very much. It actually is serious but not much I can do about it. I've "been good" and it seems to be getting less severe.

weather forecast for tomorrow is freezing rain with a light glaze. I think I'll leave a little earlier and go slower.

Low today was 23, high was 34, 23 now and tomorrow is going to be 52 with rain. We got about 2” of snow Thursday night into Friday morning.

You guys have been busy the last couple of days. Prayers for all of you with difficulties, sometimes you feel like you are on an island with no way off, but there’s always a way.

I went to my cardiologist Wednesday and GP for yearly Thursday, both told me how well I was doing.
I had a bit of what I assumed was gout in my right ankle for a few days. Thursday night I didn’t feel great. I woke up Friday barely able to walk, vomiting, chills and generally miserable. I gradually improved later in the day and could keep a little food down and I could walk without a cane, barely. I slept about 19 of 24 hours. Much better today, no idea what it is.

Great pictures everyone posted.

Drew, hope and pray you get out of pain. No one likes a pain in the neck.

Supercross starts tonight on Peacock, but you have to get the $4.99/month package. Still cheep like Mad magazine used to say.

Just got back home from Victoria Texas. Mom is still bed ridden. Has blood in urine, that is not going away. Giving her Plavix to "slime" her blood, due to putting in 2 stents (I found out). Her main Dr is off this weekend. They put a catheter that will help flush her out, to prevent clotting. I hope they figure out what's going on. She is off her other blood thinner. She wasn't bleeding pre-surgery.

Thanks all for the prayers. I feel they are lifting her up.

You guys and your deep snow in the east. Stay warm.

We started off cool, but a warm front passed through early, got some rain, and the whole day was a 66F foggy/damp day.

My son has an extreme cough right now. Wifey thinks it's bronchitis.

Mostly, stationary bike not the same, but I wonder if the new ones you put a TV in front of you and you race others would be fun???

Eric, nice little lamb. Thanks.

LS, that's a nice RV. I hope it brings you years of fun.

BEF, I had an air pump like that for at least a decade. It was all I had before I got a compressor. I had to replace the hinge rivets in it because they broke, with screws and polynuts. I remember buying it a a grocery store out of the binge bargain bin.

TxDon, I filed a fast track appeal. This blood in urine might keep her in the hospital for a while.

Does anyone recommend one of those recliners for seniors, that help lift you up to get out of it?

RNG, hope y'all get more rain, and you get the vehicles patched up to your satisfaction.

Prayers for our team, and our nation.

BEF, I've had decent luck with FB marketplace. Know what you're selling, price it fair, and don't promise to hold it for anybody unless they seem very true.

My wife got one from Wayfair that was here for me when I came home from the hospital. It will just about stand you up, and it’s quite comfortable.

Kyle,

Glad to hear that your mother made it through the cath/stent procedure successfully.

When I got my stent back in 2007, one thing that my doctor (who wore cowboy boots in the cath lab ... ;) ) - the one that actually did the cath and placed the stent - impressed on me was if I did nothing else, I was to make sure to take my Plavix everyday without fail for however many months it was I was to take it. Said it was critical to achieving a good outcome with the stent. Following that advice worked out well.

At the time, how long one had to be on it, depended on what type of stent was placed (medicated vs. non-medicated aka "bare metal") Entirely possible that has changed now.

The blood in the urine, if it was not present before she was put on Plavix, and any prolongation of it as a condition, may possibly due to the trauma of a urinary catheter (if she was given one in the hospital) + Plavix ... since Plavix makes blood clotting less likely.

She should be in much better shape to heal from the virus now that she's had those two stents placed.

Wish you and yours success in finding solutions on the long-term care aspect.

.
My dad has one, but doesn’t use it. My brother gave it to him. His wife with MS used it before she got real bad.
I sit in it when I’m there. It will stand you up but I don’t use that feature. Not sure the brand.

Yes my mom has 2, I know she uses one all the time. They have been working good for the past 6-8 years. They have a small battery back-up in case the power goes off. I'll see If I can find out where I bought them from, I know both were delivered to my house on the farm and were easy to put the 2-3 pieces together.
