Good morning! 51˚F heading to the mid 60s, foggy, light mist.
Had a hard time falling to sleep last night. The questions of the conundrums of making soy milk were dancing in my head. (I really need to get off all meds).
1. Why does soy milk have to be cooked?
2. What does the leaf of the pandan add to the soy milk?
3. How come there is not a machine that cooks, blends and filters soy milk?
4. What is the proper order of preparing the soy milk?
soaking-->cooking beans -> blending --> straining
soaking-->blending raw beans -> cooking --> straining
soaking-->blending raw beans -> straining --> cooking
Last batch I did the order in bold, it turned out great just a lot of steps and I want to incorporate the Instant Pot for the cooking next time.
I did find out that there is an
Instant Pot Blender that has a soy milk button and it heats and blends but does no filter like my nutramilk machine, of course the nutramilk machine does not heat the milk but it's recepie calls for cooking the milk afterwards for 25 min.
I think I will order the Pandan plant in the spring, the flavor it adds to soy milk sounds delightful.
I'll have to clip the tops off the frost damage kale plants and see if they grow back. On a few beets survived in the garden. So many things I want to do but self physical therapy for the knee is #1 each day.
Drew I hop you find some relief from the neck pain.
Popgadget nice sleepy summer pic.
I see where the popular Electric Vehicle thread has been shut down. I'm hoping that the new almost finished TESLA giga plant down the road will have an open house like advertised. I'm keeping alert for tickets. I sure would like a tour and share pics.
