Plans for today...trip to town for diesel and critter food

Thanks for reminder, I put my last can of diesel in tractor yesterday, guess I’ll take truck today and get some. Should fill up gas cans also, in case I need some for generator this winter.
Noticed a low tire on ranger yesterday, need to get air in it.

Fell back to sleep low 12.5 degrees now 20 and sunny

Morning all, 19 and sunny going up to 32
Neighbor did the shared road this time and did a good job.
I used the snowblower to clean the little areas and the driveway.
So all done, teamwork rules!

BEF - Congrats on the new cat! Hope she settles in and becomes friendlier.
Don - seems Egore is a good incentive to get yourself working on the knee flex
Sodamo - that kitchen looks great and the use of space makes it all seem so much larger.
Drew- make sure you have good pillows-my neck hurts if I keep pillows around too long.

PopG- making us jealous with heated cab.
Grandson is too cute. Glad he likes the tractor. My son is teenage now, so does not care about much, but luckily is still into his music, will take what I can get.

All of you talking about downed trees, hope you get goof weather to get them processed. My dead trees are taking forever to fall down. I have 6-8 that I will need to take down myself on the property border. But have another dozen or so large ones in the forest that just don't seem to want to fall by themselves.

Welcome to GM Mtsoxfan

We'll see if I get out today, <32F is a bit cold for me now, used to not be a problem. Son went out with only a sweatshirt ... not for me anymore.

Stay safe and be well,

Breakfast in Tahiti is delivered different than here in PA

that looks nice and warm in Tahiti too...

good trip downtown, few cars on the road, roads were clear and mostly dry and countryside coated in white.
Got those small brads I needed to finish the weather station, and dropped off a return for Amazon at UPS.

Learn something every day. I bought chalk holders for church and they came in sized for sidewalk chalk. Now not being a city boy
I had no idea sidewalk chalk was oversized, so these holders were too big for the chalk I bought for blackboards. So chalk comes in regular and large
sizes. I guess you need the big ones for sidewalk since using a lot more.

few odds and ends to fiddle with, will keep alternating heat and cold on neck. Sure makes driving painful because no matter what have to turn my head all the way
around. Most folks need a grease zerk at L5, I need one at C6 too. Aka cortisone injection. Insurance approval makes it a multi visit affair

asleep in grandpop's arms and warmth, that is one content boy. Icing on the tractor cake.

66°F and no rain.

Sophie’s eye being slow to heal. Dr increased her steroid drops to 6x a day and will see her next Wed.

Should get the microwave/hood finished, the vent cover installed today.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Ya gotta keep rubbin' it in

Yup. It’s a funny thing, I had my previous (open station) tractor for over 30 years. After coming close to dying a few years ago, I took a good look at all the the things that I was going to get around to. One of them was getting a nice tractor. I haven’t regretted it for a second. And my old tractor, a Case 430 has a new lease on life a well. I gave it to a friends son, and he has put much love into it.

Good morning! 51˚F heading to the mid 60s, foggy, light mist.

Had a hard time falling to sleep last night. The questions of the conundrums of making soy milk were dancing in my head. (I really need to get off all meds).
1. Why does soy milk have to be cooked?
2. What does the leaf of the pandan add to the soy milk?
3. How come there is not a machine that cooks, blends and filters soy milk?
4. What is the proper order of preparing the soy milk?
soaking-->cooking beans -> blending --> straining
soaking-->blending raw beans -> cooking --> straining
soaking-->blending raw beans -> straining --> cooking

Last batch I did the order in bold, it turned out great just a lot of steps and I want to incorporate the Instant Pot for the cooking next time.

I did find out that there is an Instant Pot Blender that has a soy milk button and it heats and blends but does no filter like my nutramilk machine, of course the nutramilk machine does not heat the milk but it's recepie calls for cooking the milk afterwards for 25 min.

I think I will order the Pandan plant in the spring, the flavor it adds to soy milk sounds delightful.

I'll have to clip the tops off the frost damage kale plants and see if they grow back. On a few beets survived in the garden. So many things I want to do but self physical therapy for the knee is #1 each day.

Drew I hop you find some relief from the neck pain.
Popgadget nice sleepy summer pic.

I see where the popular Electric Vehicle thread has been shut down. I'm hoping that the new almost finished TESLA giga plant down the road will have an open house like advertised. I'm keeping alert for tickets. I sure would like a tour and share pics.

Good morning to all! Low was at 28°, up to 50 currently, high should hit 54. A cold front coming across tonight, so tomorrow's high will only be in the mid 40's. Next chance of precipitation won't be until next Wednesday..... hopefully will get some.

The trip to pick up the RV was uneventful, except for the amount of driving. 15 hours of driving in a 19 hour period. I was surprised that I only got a little stiff and didn't really get any increase of pain in the knee or back. It was the first time driving the Nissan Frontier for such a long time, turned out it is very comfortable apparently.
Not so good with fuel economy.... only averaged 9 miles per gallon Pulling the trailers. It did very well towing overall, but going uphill was definitely not a strong point. On the 6% grades, max speed was at 50-55 mph, with the engine screaming at 5 grand rpm. We were discussing a new truck also, but will wait until the supply / demand / chip crisis is over. Maybe then prices will be more normal.

Yesterday was spent recuperating from all the driving, a long day, and disruption of the normal routine. Spent a little time getting familiar with the new unit. Lots of high tech gear on the new RV, including solar panels / system. I'm definitely reading the manuals... multiple times.... The old RV was very basic, this one is like the Ritz-Carlton. Today, we might get all of our RV stuff loaded back into the new one. I'll have to make another fishing rod holder, left the old one with the old trailer.

Just realized that I didn't take any pics of the RV. I'll get some and post them in a bit.

Kyle, glad to hear your mom is doing ok. Hopefully you will be able to get her the care she needs to continue healing. Prayers sent.

Drew, sorry to hear about your neck pain... hopefully you can get some relief soon. Maybe just overdid it shoveling snow?

Hope you guys dealing with all the snow get a chance to just sit back and enjoy it.

It' time to get myself moving....
Everyone have a great day!

That Case looks like it would ride nicely with those big flotation tires. Particularly if you were mowing where corn was planted before.
You can't always go with the rows...so the first pass can be mighty rough.
is that gas or diesel Paul? looks like a carb on the side
Did it have a three point hitch or something proprietary (Case Eagle hitch)

Ted, can't wait til we see pics. Bet you have lots of new features to learn about.
Did it come to you winterized or ready to go? Not sure how cold it is getting where you are.

   / Good morning!!!! #143,716
Drew, yes it was winterized (supposedly).... it was written on the 'dealer prep' list, and I was charged for it. Double checking that is on my 'to do' list.

I went out and snapped a couple of pics.....

The questions of the conundrums of making soy milk were dancing in my head. .

Forgot one.
Where are the teets on soy to milk it?

A couple popular threads got closed. Seems time-outs don’t work.
