No, no batteries as of yet.
If he thinks in the future he might want an EGO Lawnmower, or hedge clippers or blower or weedeater or edger or chainsaw he should look at their pole saw. If he Ever plans to expand look what else the battery will run and go with the brand that he can stick with. 56V EGO batteries fit in all their products.
This looks like a pretty honest review that tells the positive and negative of the EGO. The biggest negative I think every chainsaw will do, when the chain gets loose it comes off. da.

Koala has been here for a couple of days but my camera caught him leaving at 3.30 pm today. He will be back in due course. Also had a deer here today. Don't see them often. And of course 'Pedro' the scrub turkey arrived for his tea.
Very busy day once again. A trip to Toowoomba with the Honda and trailer for steel mesh and top hat to fix up the aviary. Stepson coming tomorrow to help with that. Then I had another trip to the city in the Ranger to get some much needed items. Already had a early morning run to the local town for tie down straps, buckets, mops etc and the obligatory Woodstock.
So, tomorrow is going to be another busy busy day. Hopefully the new year will not be as chaotic. Maybe I bring it on myself?

Coffee is done brewing. 31° with fog this morning. Heading to 41° with cloudy skies. Little bit of snow to plow this morning. Did spend some time in neighbors woods. Fire started on Monday was still going. Put more logs and branches on the pile. Will probably still be going today. Shame to have to waste all that warmth. Could keep a house warm for a year or more. Back into the woods again today.
Get a variety of birds at feeder at one time.

Don and Kyle, good your knee is getting better. But sleepless nights can get you down quickly. I checked out the Ego product line. Very similar to the Ryobi. I wonder it the attachments will work on the Ryobi product line. My Ryobi 40V power head is Brushless. Seems work almost as good as the 25cc gas power head I have.

RNG, have a great trip. We will be here when you get back this year or next year.

Alien, with all the things you have done this year. You will need a rest for a few hours next year.

Randy, how did carpet cleaner shopping go.

Rich, hope you get your Satellite system up and running again.

Roy, hope you are feeling better today.

David, hope work on caretaker project gets completed. Have you had any luck with finding a caretaker.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

63 going to 65 on this fine April day. Probably rain...Weather man said 2 to 3 inches over next few days...that would be more than all of November and December, so far.

Ron, we were given a new bird feeder for Christmas that looks very much like yours...hopefully ours will be as attractive to the birds as yours has been.

Repaired two firewood pallet racks yesterday...now need to get busy with the chainsaw to fill them up.

House is quiet...probably declare a rest day after taking the trash and recycles to the "dump" and getting a hike in while over that way. It was nice having family here, and 2 dogs and a cat.

I added a 3/8" perch to this feeder. It allows bigger birds to feed without turning sideways. Also cut down on the opening that seed feeds down to birds. Before I did that birds would empty feeder in a couple of days. Most of it ending on ground.

Good morning, low temp 14 and high to 30°F. Wind ENE 11 mph. 30% chance of flurries.

One of the two kittens I got last winter is now 18 lbs and super vocal. Little bustard got me up at 2 A.M. Don't know why, all I know is he was howling something loud. He finally shut up after he had me wide awake, so a nap may be in the cards for this afternoon.

Had apple pie last night, they like theirs smothered in custard, I don't. But I am in the process of eating the custard for breakfast, cold. I think it is an abomination to smother good apple pie in custard. A slice of extra old cheese is okay.

Other than the nap this afternoon I have nothing on my plate.

Have a safe day all

Ours are on 'free feed'. There is always dry food available.
I think it was a messy litter box and he REALLY wanted to go out. Ain't gonna happen. Fishers in area.

48 outside this AM. Heading to lower 60's. Supposed to rain sometime today or later this week. I will believe that when I see it. The weather crew has been abnormally wrong these last few weeks for my area.

House is empty again, preparing for the next batch of people.

Managed to get the other houses water back on line late yesterday. As with any project around here, I managed to bleed a little. Sheesh my hands are just tore up working in tight places with sharp metal and hard plastics. Today, if I don't make a beer run, I need to get the main house plumbing fixed. Unfortunate one shower will require the entire compound to be shut off from water for a while. How is that for a single point of failure?

Hope all are getting good for the plans on New Year's eve and the New Year.

Be safe, get healthy to those ailing.

good morning all. Relatively warm, cloudy, rainy weather for awhile, until next Monday when winter cold returns. High of 49 today.

not much planned for today. Have a little project to finish making an outdoor thermometer/rain gauge for a friend. I didn't have small enough screws to
mount them, so now I do and will work on that today.

Doug, pretty sure none of us have an aviary. And we sure all like birds.
can you tell us about what you have planned?

woke up with sniffles again. Reading articles on telling difference between flu, cold and covid.
Think I might use the one test my brother gave me. Can't hurt.

Good Morning.
It’s 39 and sprinkling, going to 45 under cloudy skies.

Yesterday’s trip was uneventful, other than the high volume of traffic. Leaving Philadelphia, we were south of Baltimore before they let us climb to our cruising altitude where we go faster and burn less fuel. Fortunately, the weather was good. Quite the lineup leaving Palm beach as well, this was the view behind us, there was 6 or 7 in front of us.
IMG_4624.jpg

We were in the turboprop, so they let us depart from an intersection, saving us some time, essentially jumping the line.

Today, starts with yesterdays breakfast with a friend postponed to today. Then I’ve got to move some hay and some other farm chores and more computer work.

   / Good morning!!!! #143,178
48° at the farm. Rain thru the night.

Did get a drone flight in yesterday, my brother brought his and we were both flying at same time. Flight control at the back of his truck.
IMG_3140.JPG

He flew his, identical to mine, much further away. Mine was giving “propellers spinning too fast” warning. He flew north over the old train tunnel, then SE over the “caves”, which is now a county park. When I was young I had a trap line up those hollers.

IMG_3138.JPG

Neighbor built a new barn since our last visit, dad said an Amish crew.

These drone pics taken off the cache video in a dji directory, I didn’t download the videos to the phone, I’m out of space. The cache is lower resolution.

When dish sent an upgraded receiver for my dad’s, they didn’t include a remote either even though I asked. His remotes barely work.

Heading back over the mountains today.

Until reading mostly’s report, didn’t realize thread had been pruned behind where I had posted. The ferocious kitty is sometimes a tame little kitty and loves to come in for a visit.

Good morning! 66˚F heading to the upper70s, foggy. A cool front is coming in this afternoon and will bring tomorrow's morning temps into the 50s and then Saturday a stronger cold front will bring the Sunday temps into the 20s.

I'm tractor netting on the knee machine, it a good machine to get the knee warmed up and start the day. A PT should be by sometimes but they usually only give me a few hours notice. I need to be discharged from home PT and the start outpatient PT Monday. The Dr. can only prescribe a weeks worth of pain medication and he has to do it himself directly to the pharmacy, one of the new federal rules because too much fraud and addiction was going on. Hopefully I got my last refill as I'm starting to use advil half of the time because it is compatible with the pain med. I had a little better sleep last night so I hope to tolerate the stretching pain more today. Got my knee angle measurement tool yesterday and I'll see if I can push the knee to 90˚.

Roy I hope your nausea is gone and you are feeling better.
Drew hope you get a negative covid test results. We have a lot of cedar fever going on around here. There are very long lines at the testing facility (2 hour wait) in Austin and 25% are testing positive for covid. I have no idea which variant strain is most prevalent around here, I see the feds reduced the omicron numbers significantly and the delta was still the primary variant during most of December. New cases are on the rise - 156 in the county yesterday. looks like it will be a while before we go back down to just double digits like it was when I had my surgery.
