Good morning!!!!

34 degrees this morning, but quickly warmed to a sunny 63. And I'm worn out. I cooked my own breakfast, ate it, and did the dishes, then ran the vacuum throughout the house just as Margaret got up. I knew she'd be doing a little weekly house cleaning today. So then I worked on the yard. I have told you before; many times, I'm sure that I hate live oak trees. Any way, I did just a litttle edging with the string trimmer out front, then I got the mower out and mowed just a small strip between two driveways, then I blew everything off with the EGO blower, before I started raking up little acorns. I put out 3 bags of them that together should be close to 100 pounds. Each bag is heavy enough that the garbage men may cuss me, but they'll take them This was the third (and I hope last) go round with that for the year.

So I finished by getting a shower and doing a load of laundry.

Don, your knee looks like "Z" guage train tracks. I guess the staples saves the doc time of tying stitches, but I think I'd rather have old school stitches pulled than those things. Are they going to have to deaden the area to remove them?
No, unfortunately that is not the procedure. I was told it is painless unless . . . (that there was one too many unlesses.) I'll be taking pain pills right before we leave and my wife will be driving.
I walked with a fall belt and the three wheel walker in the street today with the physical Therapist right there to grab if I started falling. In any other neighborhood that would be embarrassing but not here. Sometimes it's nice to be in a "retirement" neighborhood.

Did my first cooking since surgery. Made a vanilla cherry peach pie, not using Kyles and RS pie crust recipe. Peaches are in the cherry pie because my wife ate half the cherries for the pie, this will be interesting.

When I had mine done about five years ago was the first time I had heard of using staples,
I was a bit nervous the day I went in to have them removed.
I was visiting with the nurse as she removed them and was done before I realized she had started.

Good to know, thanks. How many did you have removed? I have quite a few very close together.

I had 8 removed from the top of my head a couple of years ago...Doctor sprayed a numbing mist on and pulled...only a couple felt like I was getting scalped. Good luck.

Drew, if you really want to make somebody's Christmas, go find that poor young mechanic who lost his 10mm snap on wrench, and save him from the horrible toll of having lost his 10mm wrench like the rest of us guys who have been around the sun at least 60 times without our 10mm wrenches.

Save him from certain Sheol.
