My uncooked turkey.
Have not figured out the price per pound.

Just like mom used to make
Hope it turns out good and tasty.
Used to go to a place in Brooklyn that make a duck without any duck, tofu and stuff.
It was actually really good and was a popular dish even for the non-veggie crowd.

This is a new recipe submitted by one of the members at the WFPB meeting, I need to go to the store for rice paper, it is soaked with wine and spices and put on top of the turkey loaf while it is cooking. (turkey skin?)

67°F and .09 inches rain. Although it appears we missed some significant rainfall.

Great to be home.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

It has been so warm these last few days that wasps have come out of hibernation and all the tiny annoying biting insects that we thought were over for this year are once again feasting on us.

These last few months have seen relatively little rainfall. I have been making the most of it, spending a few hours each day this week coppicing wood from the "wetland", which is unusually "dry" at the moment. It feels strange to be able to walk without making a splash over ground that usually requires waders and with leaves covering every square inch it looks deceptively firm. I took a piece of straight willow that was longer than I am tall and tried pushing it into the ground, it went in with almost no effort - if you don't hear from me again you can guess where I have gone

Anyone ever sold the carbon credits on their forest? I'm in the process now...only a one year commitment to refrain from timbering...you must actually submit a bid for how much you want to get paid for it...if accepted you get paid after the year is up for the acres you didn't harvest. I don't have a lot of land, but think I could make enough to make it worthwhile. But I'll feel guilty participating in what's kind of a racket.
I also think the whole idea of people buying carbon credits to "offset" their own excesses is wrong, though I am not blaming you for taking the money.
Guess you are now a self confessed racketeer ! :giggle:

Eric, are conditions getting better in UK?
Covid rarely makes it to the top of the news nowadays, which must be a very good sign. Vaccine take up rate in the population has been 88% for 1st dose and 80% for the second. There are still a lot of people catching Covid, but now it is only a mild concern for most. From this month front line hospital and care workers now have to be vaccinated or look for another job.

Horrible news this morning. Very good friend of mine passed yesterday from Covid; even with being vaxed. He was a few years older than me, but literally was half mountain goat. An incredibly hard worker and really good dude; he will be sorely missed.

PC up and running. 6 TB of hard drives. 4 single 2 TB drives and a 2 TB drive partitioned into 2 singles.
2 individual drives carrying the 'C' drive, through 'raid'. Now maybe I can play World of War.
How many HD bays do you have?
IIRC, I have 3, with about 4 TB total storage...and I'd like more

Yard is a shambles but getting there. House is a shambles but also getting there. about 80 boxes of tiles arriving Tuesday. 4 windows and a sliding door arriving Monday. House completely stripped of vinyl. Utter chaos about to begin. As if it already hasn't begun. New oven and new fridge to go in. Granite benchtop to be measured and fitted once kitchen is in.

Coffee is done brewing. 29° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 39° with cloudy skies. Weather was great yesterday. Thought it would be a good day to take pump and filters out of garden pond. Rack for Mule got put on hold until today. Will work on that and find time to get a haircut. Sassy gets a bath today. She is already looking for a place to hide. Not only can she read. She can read my mind.
Caught moon rise yesterday evening.

Alien, barn is looking good. The shambles will be a lost memory soon.

Mostly, have a good Turkey Roll ride today.

Steppenwolfe, sorry for loss of your friend.

Eric, I would still be wearing my waders. Just in case.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
cold morning, warming up into 50s in nice weather today.
I will be on my knees for a long time today, lot of grouting to do, about 8 feet of walkway,
probably four hours of grouting. Trying to get this section done today so we can open up the walkway for church, but not tomorrow, won't have time
to set up and dry.

went to 1740 house in Lumberville with my brother yesterday for a glass of wine late afternoon, looking out over a quickly
flowing Delaware River. Now sort of a private restaurant club, basically an overflow facility for owner's very successful catering business Holly Hedge.
It was fun, still have a little whiplash from my brother flooring his 600hp BMW. You have to dodge every pothole in that car or risk a thousand dollar wheel break.
35 series tires are just silly for these crummy country roads locally versus my truck's big 60 series tires that roll over anything with a big thunk.

my little fake xmas tree came in yesterday and most of the lights I ordered. I told neighbor across the street she'd better get sunglasses for night time since the glow
will light her up. She just laughed, loves xmas lights, said the more the merrier.

Rubbermaid delivery shows up, startled to see it. No announcement, no call ahead, and crappy box all beat up containing what I hope are the three pieces I needed.

Steppenwolfe, bad news, sorry you lost your friend. This time during the holidays very hard on older folks and covid makes it worse.

Ron, on my big computer screen your moon casts light brightly, sort of lights up my office, your camera/film is capturing a lot of light there.
Too bad solar panels don't work on moonlight.

I bet the wolves were howling at that moon in a grand chorus

No wolves here that I know of. But the Coyote's sure do some howling on a full moon. My dining room gets lit up from the picture.

Good morning, low temp 30 and high to 34°F. Wind SSE 7 mph. 70% chance of either snow or rain.

Steppenwolfe, sorry for your loss. Death at any time sucks, but the closer to Christmas the more they suck.

Roy, I have 5 hot swapable HD bays, the case has 4 Fans and can be ran with liquid cooling. The case is a Cooler Master HAF 932. I think I am ready for Win 11.
I have been continuously upgrading since 1994 when I got my first computer (IBM 486DX100).

I've not got anything on my plate for today, so I will conserve energy.

Have a safe day all
