premium gas was 3.79 at Heaths in Lambertville NJ vs 3.99 in PA locally.
When it hits four bucks, inflation has returned with a full band playing.
Regular was 3.49
Good deal in Canada and Hawaii, but getting less so here

Had to get a bit on Waimea trip the other day

Product: Super Unleaded Ethanol (10% blend)
Quantity: 2.293000
Price: 4.3590
Amount: 10.0000

I usually get ethanol free, but wasn’t available at that station.

civil discourse Roy....civil intercourse will get your wife mad at you for sure... :) ;)
Intercourse:
communication or dealings between individuals or groups.
"everyday social intercourse"
Drew, you got a dirty mind!!:D
Or wishful thinking!!

Both intercourse and discourse are fairly synonymous as far as definitions, actually

66F and cloudy with possible light rain @ 21:45, heading down to a low of 63F for the night. Nearby local weather station reports 2.02" from the storm that moved through earlier.

After rain ended earlier I went out picked around 8 more tomatoes, still more to go in a few days once they finish ripening.

Amazon delivered the case of grease ... (y)

The Woman made BLT's for dinner. I had 2 1/2 and then a little later (after nap), had a bowl of Peanut Butter Ripple ice cream while watching Father Brown.

Just finished feeding downstairs fish, more eggs hatching each day.

Going to call it an early night and hit the rack here in a few.

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)

I forgot to say, RS, I did a filter change on the wifes tractor the other day. Was supposed to be transmission.

Read up on it, and if you do it quick enough, no fluid loss.

Well I park on a hill, get all ready, get the filter loose....and well it is pouring out of there. I mean like.....pouring... slap new filter back on, hmmmm...that did not feel right.

Go look at manual, yeah, wrong side of tractor. I did the hydraulic and not the transmission.

At least I got the filter right.

Went and got a new transmission filter, do the hill parking, and wallah! Change filter and top off the fluids. All is well.

Never read a manual upside down.

The vacuum trick worked for me on my hydro filter change, only lost what was in the filter.

Nice truck Drew, and nice they acknowledged the mower damage and will make it right.

RS, did you ever get that zerk fitting to pump grease?

Nope ... mainly because by the time I got it clear I was out of grease.

Amazon solved that problem a couple of hours ago though ... so no excuses tomorrow ... ;)

You've really worked on that thing.

Yup ... it was pretty packed up.

Not just the fitting either: the hole the fitting screws into was packed solid with dried out grease.

Glad the JD made you whole ... (y)

Hope you all stay around on GM. Always interesting to read what everyone is up to. And great pictures.

Local missing Alzheimer’s guy wondered off a couple days ago, they found him deceased in a creek.

Back home in Ohio, a local guy who plants and maintains beautiful flowers in the village square was given a letter to stop what he was doing by the local council. A very popular guy who works hard for the community. I expect there will be a new council soon. They should have been acknowledging all the work he does.

Dad got his booster shot today. They said wait month for flu shot.

Since yesterday morning until noon today lost 1/2 pound so I'll keep close eye on tire...as they say it will only go half flat. ;)

Only on the bottom, the rest will be good to go.

Yeah ... I went up on Kubota's Illustrated Parts website this time around - just to verify that I was putting the correct filter on the correct side ... since the labelling on the filters (transmission, hydraulic, and engine oil) are all the same, something like: Cartridge, Oil Filter.

I had been labelling the boxes which I save, previously with a "R" and a "L" (for left and right sides) as I change them out, but then was uncertain this time around whether the right and left was from sitting in the seat ... or facing the tractor from in front.

(It's from sitting in the tractor seat ... now if I can only remember that in another 300 hours worth of seat time )

Glad to see ya back in GM.

Good luck with your septic project ... (y)

Let’s take a breath, family, friends, gardens, tractors and such are what this thread is about. If you mention you got vaccinated, fine, but no more warfare over personal choices please.
Correct...
The grass is definitely starting to slow down....yippie. And more good news...except for the wallet...our septic system install looks to be scheduled starting the end of the month. Ladies and gentlemen, that is close to a years effort with regulations, studies, permits, scheduling and bureaucracy to get to this point. That should be embarrassing point for my local and state governments.

Hope all have a great day, be safe.
And I was just about to make a crack about whether Drew's Ridgeline or Rip's Septic would come first???
Good morning! 57˚F heading to the 90s and plenty of sun. It will be getting a little warmer each day.

Getting the little Honda tiller out this morning to make sure it starts and heading to the garden to till it. The next rain is not till late next week that's when I'll have my Fall/Winter garden planted.

Saturday is the neighborhoods big semi annual Garage sale in the ballroom parking lot. It's a hundred garage sales in one with a lot of good STUFF. There has not been a neighborhood garage sale since the Covid started so this will be a big one. It is very well organized and last for 4 hours only. You rent a parking space and display your items. We sold 100% of the things we put in it the year after we moved here. This year we might buy one or two items.

Drew I saw one new Ford Ranger, 2021 Tremor model, in the dealership parking lot when I was getting an oil change.
Will the Honda tiller be in the Sale? I already have a Honda/Mantis. I need a 3point tiller....
What time is the sale? What are some of the typical items sold? I don't believe I need any Jerry Lee Lewis albums....(just making a joke there).

My wife has suddenly started buying plants and flowers and plant pots. Must be a Spring thing. Two trips to the city in 2 days and a truckload of pots/plants each trip.
New (correct) fridge arrived today and they took the wrong one they had delivered back. I suppose 6 weeks all up isn't too much of a wait for a fridge nowadays.
It's a big Hitachi with a 5 year guarrantee and made in Japan. Let's hope it lasts as long as my old one. 21+ years and still going well. I will use it in my barn whenever it gets finished.
Concreter was supposed to be here setting up yesterday and still haven't heard from him.
Also got a load of garden loam delivered for Lesley to fill her pots. Not sure a cubic meter will be enough. LOL. Timber has arrived so now I have to start working. Spent $lotsa on nails and screws so better get using them.
Till later....

The guys lost tonight, but a good back and forth match. Gals were very pleased.

Had a couple of fresh picked eggplant that I decided would make a nice side dish. Found recipe for roasted eggplant and tomatoes. Sounded perfect. Some olive oil, salt, pepper, a little bit of cayenne pepper, basil, fresh garlic, some slivered carrot. Knew I had some peppers in the freezer, sliced and added them to the mix. About 45 minutes on a cookie sheet in the oven, sprinkle with some asiago cheese and ready to eat. Thought it would go well with our beans and sausage. Diane popped a piece of eggplant into her mouth and immediately remarked how spicy. I tried a piece and had to agree. Couldn’t believe how spicy as I was quite careful when adding the cayenne. Made it through dinner but we sure didn’t eat it all. Finally figured out that my last minute pepper addition from freezer was most likely 10 habaneros from a friend and not sweet baby bell peppers.
