Coffee is brewing. 55° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 82° with partly cloudy skies. Got my shopping done and got a plan for neighbors roof repair. Will take another trip to Menards for the material.
No idea what this flower is growing in my field.

48° right now...high in the low 70's today...

Main chore today is getting some non-slip rubber mats for the ramp I built for Margeaux. I hope the local hardware stores carry something I can use. If that's accomplished, it'll be time to train her to use the ramp. Wish me luck!!

Got 3 pallets from work for a few on my implements, so they need to come off the truck and on the ground. I use an area that's overgrown since the pallet will, ultimately, kill most of the vegetation (weeds). Once the pallets are located, I'll stash the bucket on one, the forks on another and probably not rig anything to the loader. Won't be to long before the front blade and snow blower are rigged to the tractor
There are some branches I want to remove from the oak tree in front of the house, but not sure I want to bother with that until Spring. Guess we'll see how motivated my lazy ass gets...

My Tacoma should be ready late next week. My rental is a 2021 Ram 2500...big truck and I'm sorry I rented it. Don't need anything this big and the fuel "economy" suck...especially for a 50 mile run to work everyday. I'll be glad to get my truck back and I'll try not to do somethinng stupid for a while...:(

20 years ago, almost 3000 American died in a terrorist attack. We must NEVER forget and always honor those who died and those who did their very best to save others. We must NEVER forget those who died trying to take back Flight 93.
A sad, terrible day for America which must never be allowed to happen again...

good morning all
nice cool morning out, 53 going up to 79 today in full sun.

somber day for many in this area, many families just South of where Ken lives lost their lives that day, up on the top
floor of one of the towers. Lots of folks in this area commute into NYC; my father did it for 22 years into a lawfirm downtown.
Sure was no Zoom back then. And telephones still had rotary dials...

When I was 7 I think he took the three brothers into work with him and then took us out to an afternoon Yankees game with Mickey Mantle and Yogi Berra.
My biggest memory of the city was just looking straight up on the sidewalk, craning my neck until it hurt trying to see the top of the Empire State Building.
Which I'm pretty sure we went up that day. I remember almost falling over backwards trying to look up so high.

In a different time, it could have been my Father up in one of those skyscrapers when the plane hit.

Kudos to the New Yorkers who built that place back up again.

9.8 hours on the JD lawn mower, so time for its first oil change. Putting their oem dino oil back in to continue the break in
period on the Kawasaki. At the end of this season, I'll change it to full synthetic and then every year at the end of the season.
Bought a packaged kit which also had spark plugs and a fuel filter, which go up on the shelf for some future year.
I'll use my oil sucker which makes the process pretty simple and no mess. Oil diaper under the oil filter and I should be done in ten minutes.
But I'll probably take longer because I enjoy the process.

Hope you all have a nice weekend. Looks like terrific weather in these parts.

Good morning! 58˚F here in the valley it is feeling like Fall. Clear skies it will head to the 90s this afternoon.
Ron we hope the test are positive because Addisons is treatable, as Buppies pointed out, some of the other diseases and cancers that she has symptoms of are not. The opposite of Addisons is Cushing's or if over treating Addisons it becomes Cushing's.

With the cooler weather there is a possibility my tomatoes will start blooming again, I need to check that out and pull out the beans and pick okra.
I bought a tray for sod grass for Whipper I'll put in the garage, where her night time bed is also.
