81F and cloudy @ 14:00, thunderstorm about to roll through, lots of wind and rain has already started.

Had a fairly brief, but intense shower early this morning, closest reporting station shows they got 0.13". We watered yesterday ... so of course it's raining ...

Will be good for the lawn though.

Very slow getting rolling today, between being up pretty late and working outside in the heat all day yesterday I'm feeling a little tired. Woke up around 09:30 got up and then laid down on the couch and fell back asleep.

So will most likely be an energy conservation day, which isn't necessarily bad - will give me a chance to catch up on tank maintenance in the fish room and get a few other things done mostly inside.

Fedex delivered the 20# of milky spore so making up an applicator for that seems like it could be a good project: take an old shipping tube and drill some holes in one of the end caps so that X number of shakes dispenses about 1 tablespoon (I think)

Got notification from Eden Brothers that the seed order has shipped via USPS so will have some reading to do on planting for those.

The Woman is out doing some running around and returning some items.

Glad to hear that some folks have been able to get a third shot. It looks like the local health department here is strictly following the CDC's guidance - it is only available to those who meet the CDC's specific criteria.

This morning I go for final fitment of my first dental plates. Not very keen but I guess they are needed. Also waiting to hear from the Opto about my new glasses. Should be ready soon.
Kitchen quotes have been disappointing. No-one seems to be in any hurry so we have contacted a third company. They sound more helpful on the phone so we will see what eventuates.

No shots here on doctor’s advice. Some patients that had a very bad time with Covid are at risk of significant reaction to the shot. My doctor is still advising caution as she feels there is sufficient risk of a severe reaction.

My neighbor and his Kioti did the deed. I didn't know he had pallet forks, but he'd had them for his New Holland 20some years ago.
A job I thought would be a struggle was a piece of cake!!! I'm happy!!!

Audit's going good...maybe one finding...but we still have two days to go.

Wifey bought (with my blessing) some gear (bed, toys and quality dog food) for Margeaux. I'll be glad to get her home and I'm sure she'll (the pup) be glad to get away from the transport van. It'll take a bit for her to settle, most likely...but she'll find us loving parents

Deere HPX Gator skinny....Ok I decided to try a heterodoxy attempt to seat the carb's needle and seat. I semi-accurately measured the needle's rubber tip to be an included 72° angle. I then put a piece of PEEK plastic in the lathe and made a corresponding angle tip. Using my stereoscope, I checked out the brass insert that comprises the seat, and darn if it doesn't look to be porous??? I got some 400 grit clover compound and with a cordless drill, I attempted to polish the seat's chamfer. I think it looks better. Mind you, the hole is only about 1mm diameter. Here are before and after pics.

Hopefully, it will be better and decide to seal.

From what my doctor has told me, it is a select group of patients that had a tough time with Covid and still are showing good antibodies during follow up testing. We are under the Cleveland Clinic umbrella that is strongly recommending people who did not have Covid receive a vaccine, but anyone who has had Covid and has been tested positive for antibodies should approach a vaccination carefully.

Good evening all. 73F for the start, clear sky, light breeze. Light wind day, sky stayed mostly clear, and high temp was 95F, HI 103F and DP 69F. Men's meeting to start the day, then got word great grandbaby, a girl was born this morning! Got to speak briefly with granddaughter, she and baby doing fine she is tired. Baby 6# 15oz, 20.5 inch long. Also got to dog sit today, dog is getting over being "dumped" and more interactive
