Good morning!!!!

Currently a very pleasant 69F @ 14:00, Woman left the windows open before she headed out this morning ... nice breeze blowing through the house.

Supposedly heading up to a high of 85F ... but it's gonna have to make tracks if it's going to do that. Sun is trying to peek out.

It has rained here but no standing water that I can see. Local stations report 0.08" - 0.13" so far, possibility of an afternoon thunderstorm which might be severe.

So will most likely be a largely inside day today:

Get paperwork and filing caught up.

Get boxes in the dining room gathered up and stored, either out in the garage or down in the basement.

Draw water for fish.

Fish room maintenance/clean up, plus filter and tank maintenance.

Feed last two containers of white worms.

Might head around back with the Kubota and get another tank of RM18 mixed up for Sunday.

Fuel up pressure washer, check oil.

Clean pre filter on Cub air cleaner.

Never a shortage of things that need done ...

I see Harbor Freight is back to offering 20% off coupons. Might have a use for that, if I decide to go the cheap route.

No cicadas here either. Too bad ... was kind of looking forward to them.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

I'm growing three pattipan squash plants in a raised garden and they are trying to take over, watermelons travel further.
If you are willing to keep training the vines back to where you want them, why not...

88 degrees but low humidity. I've had enough of the outdoors, worked in the garage organizing things and
now happy to sit in a/c. Just might find a cold beer to welcome in the weekend.

It reminds me I don’t know crap about grease. I thought grease was grease, I have no idea what type I have, other than it’s black.

I seem to shoot whatever is in the gun, regardless of color. Guess that puts me inthe grease is grease camp. Maybe I should do better.

Stubby’s Texas cousin. She was huge about the size of a hoe. I found her this morning at the tool shed. Good thing this is an organic garden and all the insects are edible without side effects.

90 outside. Planted my potted plants in the garden, tomatoes, okra, peppers.
The mystery plant might have an identifiable fruit by tomorrow.
Tomorrow I’ll also plant some seeds.

Whipper is doing better every day. No more throwing-up, or diarrhea that looks like red wine. (Sorry about that if you are sipping red wine while reading this.)

am enjoying a Jimmy Dean breakfast vegan sandwich this morning. Plant based patty, egg whites with
spinach mixed in, not too much sugar or salt. With a little Carolina mustard vinegar sauce on it, pretty good.
I don't think there is anything plant based or vegan about Jimmy Dean. Don't they contain animal products?
They are possibly just meatless or vegetarian. Are they mis-labeling them?

two hours of scraping black iron railing and repainting in hot sun. 85 degrees and I'm soaked.
But better today than tomorrow.
Job done, should have realized I'd have to do a lot of scraping and then ran 100 grit over everything.
had to blue tape the house where railing attached, waiting for that to dry. Every time I try to take blue tape
off too early I usually get paint somewhere I don't want.
Just keeping the landlord happy.

PT went well, she's using some electroshock gizmo that makes my skin crawl but that in conjunction with ice at the end sends me
out of there feeling much better. Pain comes back of course but tiny bit of improvement each day.

It's a beautiful summer day. Except for the annoying cicadas. They fly right into me, maybe thinking I'm a moving tree?
Drew, so Helga had you scrape her black iron railings before she put the cold pack on you? LOL.

I started out to the barn to see what kind of grease I got.
Got taillight off the trailer, battery sawzal ran down, went and got power cord one. Cut the bolts where old plastic license holder was behind light fixture. One wire was broken.

Ordered new LED lights. Anyone have recommended ones for a trailer? So many, and can’t trust reviews.
Decided to stop early and enjoy the sunset.

And I forgot to see what type of grease I have.

74F with a DP of 68 @ 21:30 so a bit sticky/muggy, headed down to a low of 68F in the overnight. No further rain materialized, did not hit predicted high (80F), high temp only 78F. A stray show or thunder storm still possible.

Inside day also did not materialize, other than putting away some clean dishes that were in the drying rack ... will try again tomorrow.

Crows, bluejay, and squirrels out back at feeder:

IMG_1158 copy.jpg

Put out 12 meal worms each front and back, refilled suet feeder in back. Need to refill hopper feeder.

Things were pretty much dry when I got out there ... so I mowed the upper front and compost/wood lot.

Hauled some trash and recycle bin up to the cans at the road, collected today's mail.

Collected up 4 buckets from in front and took them around back to wash out. Grabbed 50' Flexzilla hose on way back and took it as well, dragged the 100' hose off the lawn in preparation for mowing around house tomorrow.

Washed out buckets and a trash can and brought them back up and put them away in the garage.

House sparrow in trap still alive, just got back from covering the trap.

Moved two more pallets from down here at the house up to the pile of split oak in compost/wood lot.

Stuff that I sprayed yesterday is already showing signs of kill ... (y)

Took FS 66 with cultivator head up to work on hosta bed on north side of shop. Noticed that the blades looked to be backwards so I swapped them around. Not sure how long they have been like that, but it works a lot better now ... ;)

Also cultivated new bed for hosta around maple tree.

Was doing that when The Woman pulled in with some pulled pork for dinner (and a peanut butter milkshake ... (y)) ... so I knocked off and headed down to house.

Not much on agenda for this evening, except shave my mug and grab a shower.

Hope everyone had a great day.

Jimmy Dean is special, he’s been dead eleven years and still does his own commercials.
He sold the Jimmy Dean Sausage company that he had for 15 years to Sara Lee Corp. in 1984.
Sara Lee, the Chicago-based company, let him go as spokesman in 2003. He claimed he was dumped because he got old and they were trying to appeal to young housewives.
He died in 2010 at his home sitting in front of his TV eating at the age of 81.
