Good evening all. 64F for the start, overcast, light breeze. Light wind day, sky clear up a lot in afternoon, high temp was 79F. Bike ride early, Step daughter made fried chicken than invited us for lunch, nap and trip to town for insurance review. Will try the careful driver app from StateFarm, could save up 25%. We were presented with 2 potential riders on house insurance need answers to questions to make decision. Back to stepdaughter for dinner, tenderloin steaks baked potato and salad. Yum!

Roy, so sorry about your pup. Condolences. It is sad that dogs don't live longer lives. I know they are loved like kids by people like you.

I just have a moment to bring y'all up to date on the insurance dealings (of my wife and I getting rear-ended).
After talking every angle with The Geico gal yesterday, she basically told me there is NO negotiation on the value of my car. She had all these "canned" replies to my questions. Basically they are offering about 4500 for my car. She sent me a "comparison" sheet with 10 cars similar to mine up to 150 miles away. They were at used car dealers, and the dealers would have them priced about 7000, and she would knock their price down to about 4500 to show a "private party" sales price. So they won't give me enough money to go get one from a dealer, and she said I have to return the rental by Friday. I can take the money, or I can buy the salvage car back for 1270, which lowers the 3500 to 3300. Like I'm supposed to find a car while I'm at work, and get it done by Friday.

She gave me the number of their claims specialists. I will call tomorrow.

I did go to the doctor, to get documented.

I called my insurance and started a claim on my uninsured/under insured insurance.

Guess I was on a roll yesterday without even realizing it.

While having coffee I decided I’d send a thank you text and update pic to my friend Jim who lent me the sheetrock lift. During that exchange, Jim sent me an email about a friend of his selling his tractor:

Compact Utility Tractor John Deere 2023R
Purchased 8/2015
60 hours

Accessories:
Loader H130
Pallet Fork Loader AP12
Rotary Cutter RC20
Box Blade BB2060
Auger PHD100 6” and 9” bit
Rear Blade BR2060

No price, but supposedly the guy just looking to move it ad he isn’t using. Obviously, only 60 hours in almost 6 years.

Knowing my tenant John just cancelled his B2026 order, I forwarded to him, not realizing he also knows the guy. Quickly responds that he isn’t interested, but I had suggested it might be a really good deal compared to his Kubota package. My suspicions are the house build is eating him up financially.

Not knowing anything about JD, I did a google. Google changed the query to 2032r which I didn’t catch, but confirmed it was a larger unit than I’m interested in for Sophie.

Also forwarded the email to another neighbor who had just expressed interest in getting a tractor.

On with my day. Imagine my surprise to get an email from John within hours saying he bought the tractor. Made an offer and accepted subject to his look see. Really liked what he saw. Seller even getting it dealer serviced.

Turns out it was a typo and tractor is a 2032r.

Think I’m going to be kicking myself when I hear how little he paid. They are reluctant to tell me until its a done deal, but wife kinda indicated it wasn’t that much more than the Scag they were looking.

Now the logistics of getting it moved.

Part of that may be borrowing a dump trailer from Jim (same Jim) to move the attachments. As we are discussing I’m casually scanning CL and in Farm & Garden hit on an ad for puppies.

Cute or what?

Anyway Jim had a pup from Kalani’s 2nd litter. Schroeder passed a few months ago, 10 yo. Jim took it pretty hard, being another Boxer guy. So maybe 2-3 months ago Jim expressed interest in looking again, so I immediately sent him the CL link.
Today, I learn Jim has indicated an interest in 2 boys and working to visit them. He is very excited. Very likely he gets them.

And John is trying to get his tractor relocated Friday.

Me, just the satisfaction of helping friends. Just hope Sophie doesn’t really like the tractor as she already asked why I didn’t get for her. Oh well, maybe my dealer still has that MT125.

Busy day as expected. Off to early start being at Costco when it opened for Seniors. Didn’t spend quite as much as usual, but still a load. Picked up a couple LED strip lights with motion sensors.

HD had even thing on my list, especially the 1 3/8 top rail pipes for my greenhouse project, not cheap though @ $17 ea. I got 20.

The Re Use store disappointing. Only solar panels were 24 volt, I’m looking for 12, but may have to rethink. I have a 12 vdc charger. No kitchen cabinets. But they did take my name & number. A couple of nice guys.

Stopped in Waimea for burger and DQ.

By the time we got home, unloaded, and stuff put away, ready to call it a day.

Makani used our time away to literally shred the foam pillows & cushions they lay on. Managed to get most of it through the doggy door, even the intact cushions. While I have to give it to him for his determination and the effort required it was still quite the mess and clean up was a PITA. Sophie still scolding him, but I don’t think he cares. Kekoa judiciously kept his distance during the clean up.

Glorious day and I got my mowing finished. Those trees slow me down. Other paddocks don't have many trees thank goodness. Got a stump pulled and some sticks burned. Place is looking good for the winter. NZ farm is signed up for sale to go through on 30th June. Relief!
Lotsa plans for the future.

She’s a cutie, Roy.

I have a ton of pics of our boxers on my iphone. The way IOS displays them I’m constantly rewarded by them popping up.

Here is a current litter in Honolulu. Jim called, only $3k each
