Roy, every time you speak of Bella she is alive in your heart.

The new power washer is gone and the replacement wont be here until next Wednesday. I told the salesman that by the time it got here I would be 1,000 miles north and wouldn't be back until October. He says he will hold it for me, just call when I am ready to pick it up. I may get another one in Thunder Bay, just in case the new one is no better than the one I returned.

Got the Physer covid poke today, and nothing. I would swear that it was saline solution they gave me...No muss, no fuss, no nothing. I got the hard copy of the vaccination paperwork and that is all that counts.

Going out shortly to water the garden on the east side of the house. It is in the shade now.

Will the warranty still be good when you get back in October?

Hope you continue reaction free on the shot.

RNG, probably not, but at this stage of the game I don't really care.
I've gotten by this long without one, so I am pretty quite sure I can get along the rest of my life without one. The only thing that burns my but is getting beat for $899.99 + 13% tax= $1017.oo.

   / Good morning!!!! #133,307
Damn!!! That sucks!!

Big time ... I'll be at least two weeks behind where I hoped I would be at this point, assuming I get the correct part this week.

OTOH, we got an early start this year and the mowing hasn't yet gotten out of hand so that's a plus ... (y)

Did you buy directly from Chapin, or through Amazon?

Amazon.

Got ahold of Chapin earlier and went over exactly what part was needed - no question whatsoever that the CS rep knew what I wanted - she was looking at the parts diagram and named it ... so if I get the wrong part this next time, either someone in the order fulfillment department is just utterly incompetent ... or the CS rep is being second-guessed by someone who thinks they know better.

Now we'll see how long it takes them to get it here.

If Amazon, contact them and I'm sure you'll get faster resolution to the problem

Yeah ... might end up going that route ... if the issue doesn't get resolved this time around.

63F and clear @ 22:20, reached 80.1F for the high today, headed down to a low of 54F in the overnight.

Friend stopped by to return to our PHD, we spent some time jaw-jacking and killed a couple of hours. He gave me a hand taking the 27' fiberglass extension ladder down ... need to pressure wash that tomorrow and put it away.

I finished up the mowing around the house after he left. After that I turned it over to The Woman and she mowed the lower front (and it looks great) while I got back to the spraying.

Got most of the weeds on the north side of the barn sprayed.

Came back over to the house and moved the last two feeder poles out into the yard.

Hosed off a tarp, an FRP panel, and a door mat.

Sprayed around the sides and back of the frog pond.

Got live trap set out for coon.

By that time it was around 20:00 so I took the Cub up and knocked out most of the upper front. Will have a little bit to do tomorrow to finish it up.

Came down to house fixed a tuna fish salad sandwich for dinner and then headed down to feed the fish.

Checked live trap before I fed fish, coon had already raided it and gotten the dry cat food I'd baited it with without tripping the trap.

#%$!

Fed fish.

Looked outside with my flashlight after I finished - coon is down at the water's edge doing a little frog hunting ... he beat a rapid retreat when I opened the door.

#%$!

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)

Mmmm, good coffee. 50° with a few clouds this morning. Heading to 82° with mostly cloudy skies. Yesterday ended up to be a mostly conserve energy day.
Went to place I had an appointment for haircut. It was closed. No notice or messages after making appointment on Monday. Hope all is alright. Take Sassy in for grooming this morning. Been refinishing a kitchen and chair set for my dining room. Will work on that today. This is a long term project that I started over a month ago. Got about 1/2 the stripping and sanding done.
Comcast cable inspector is back.

Ron, you nailed the focus on that squirrel.
Since I assume that is a power line he is sitting on, no wonder his tail fur is all static-y and attracted to the cable.
I hope you keep a separate album of your bird/critter pics.

David, best wishes for Sophie's continued success with eye surgery. Hard to imagine losing one's sight.
Reminds me I need to get an annual eye exam with new doc in town and then likely get some new glasses. I usually get titanium
frames so they hold up, but after awhile even they look like that squirrel gnawed on them. Plus the lens are all scratched no matter how much they
charge for anti-scratch coating.

I'm right there with you on that, Drew. I've had really good luck with Ray-Ban frames, then getting Costco to make the lenses. All the grinding I did for the steel firewood pallets really wrecked my current set of lenses, anti-scratch coating and all. I have two sets of the Ray-Ban frames, the newest in black to get rid of reflections in the face shield of the motorcycle helmet. So I moved my chewed up lenses to the backup frames and took the main ones in last week for new lenses. Had to doctor the dates on the prescription so they would take it, though. 😄

I do have a separate album that I save critter pictures in.
Cable is main line for Comcast Cable that feeds the whole area around me. I am the only house on the connection to that line.

RS, you are on a impressive roll. Lot more energy than I've got...

Lot of confusion out there regarding masks. Quite the switch the CDC threw yesterday.
Basically by Memorial Day it appears we are going to be back to an unregulated summer.
Sure am hoping the vaccine keeps us successfully defended for awhile against the new nasties
that inevitably will come. We all will sure be well stocked with masks, etc when it does...

truck salesman supposed to call me today. This should be interesting. Am hoping Honda will be
forthright with me and can give me a honest ETA. Now if it were a VW I would expect them to lie to me
based on my own personal repeat experiences. One of the reasons I bought a Honda anyway. Trust.
Though I do like VW's new ID4 compact electric SUV. And while I know that Audi is part of VW Porsche,
their service experience has been excellent for me.
Not in my lifetime will I ever trust the morals of a German company. I may buy their product but I don't trust them.

Ron, Comcast cable, ok, lot of insulation on that but still looks like the squirrel's tail is having a bad hair day.
RNG, thanks.

51 and clear, going to 84. Texans, send rain!

So sorry for you, Roy. Bella always sounded like a special dog. I'm sure parts of your daily routine revolved around her and it will be tough at those times. Glad you were able to find a vet to come to your house. I need to look into that for when the time comes.

Kyle, prayers said for you and your wife. After I was rear-ended I had the same symptoms...the ER doctor said it was a concussion. You've had a tough year with this following the C. virus.

Ken, I don't envy your battle with poison ivy. I go hunting it with my backpack sprayer every summer. I thought I had won the war around a dead cedar up by the road...sprayed it twice last summer...went yesterday with the chainsaw and grapple (a big cedar - 18" trunk) and had been limbing it for a while when I found 1 survivor PI plant hiding under a poke plant. Anyway finished the job and glad I don't have to look at that skeleton tree any more
