35F outside right now........some drizzle. Light snow about 5 miles inland.......not much here along the coast. Wife and I walked the woods this afternoon with the dogs.........a very nice Christmas. Merry Christmas to all........may you have a prosperous 2018!

That looks awesome! I ate dinner already, but that made me hungry again! I did a smoked prime rib roast last week and sliced it down and packaged in 2 to save for New Years. After having smoked rib roast, you won't want to have it any other way.

Good morning. Our mini heatwave is over too, back to just above freezing this morning.
While some of you resume work, today is another public holiday for us. With no equivalent to Thanksgiving we have a good excuse to try hard to make Christmas last .

Unfortunately the turkey will last even longer. I enjoy it for a day or too, but this one was huge. Yesterday I had to set my alarm clock extra early to get it in the oven before Santa arrived. Now we are set for several days of eating leftovers. "Waste not want not" was often said to both me and my wife as kids and having known what it's like to live in times when food was not exactly plentiful, neither of us will ever forget that.

Morning Gents, hope you all had a good day yesterday. I get to head home in about 45min and celibrate Christmas with my family. Pretty excited! Be safe, Rye.

Might have to fire up the tractor and bring some firewood up, it’s going to be cold for Virginia the next few days.

Good morning all, 22 heading to 34 and partly sunny. Had a great Christmas, Wife got me a DVD hand tool wood working course, am excited about that, I like doing things the old way. She also made me a hand pieced quilt for my side of the bed, I like extra covers. It is simply gorgeous. The boy did better than he had done in years and was able to be there while we all opened our gifts together. Don't know what we will do with all the food but the wife will figure it out. Hope you all had a great Christmas and Rye hope your Christmas is the best.
