From the website

VAERS accepts and analyzes reports of possible health problems—also called “adverse events”—after vaccination. As an early warning system, VAERS cannot prove that a vaccine caused a problem. Specifically, a report to VAERS does not mean that a vaccine caused an adverse event. But VAERS can give CDC and FDA important information. If it looks as though a vaccine might be causing a problem, FDA and CDC will investigate further and take action if needed.

Anyone can submit a report to VAERS — healthcare professionals, vaccine manufacturers, and the general public. VAERS welcomes all reports, regardless of seriousness, and regardless of how likely the vaccine may have been to have caused the adverse event.

In other the data may have ???? Value at best

ETA: no further discussion from me, Dennis. I usually find Don’s references /quotes reliable and look forward to learning from them.

My apologies ☹️

The VARES is a part of the CDC.
"VAERS data alone cannot determine if the vaccine caused the reported adverse event".

Don, there's no way to tell at this point, how many died because of the shot. It's just that they died sometime after getting it. I just heard of a guy my friend knew, age 77, had his first shot, but got covid, then pneumonia, hospitalized, then they had planned for a lung transplant, but he died before they could get the surgery started. Did the shot kill him, or the covid?

How many of these deaths could just be related to death from old age? I sure don't know.

I believe the shots should be voluntary. But I'm going to bet that more and more places are going to demand you show your vaccination card for different reasons. At work, we still have to wear masks. But since I've had covid, and both shots + 3 weeks now, I would gladly show them my card if they would allow me to work without a mask.

I would say it is approaching 50/50 (mask wearers and non wearers) if you go into the store.

I asked my wife what she wanted for Mother's Day..."a load of gravel for the driveway." Well, she got an early Mother's Day gift yesterday. I met a dump truck driver who lives just a few miles away when getting a load of mulch recently and he brought 8 tons of 57s yesterday at 8:30. I got a few hours of seat time spreading it and hand raking it to make it nice for her. Then mowed until the T-storm ran me in again. Nice timing on the rain to settle the little bit of dust on the gravel.
I asked my wife about gravel and she said hahaha.... I envy you.

I really like Don's references too. I find myself telling my wife and other folks about info gleaned from Don's references.

Other than recounting my experience with Covid last year. I stay out of the discussions. There are a lot of strong opinions and emotions involved.

But....my medical team is advising me against the vaccine due to their concern for a potentially adverse reaction to the vaccine from the level of antibodies in my body. They have dealt with some very serious reactions from other patients with high levels of antibodies who were early recipients of the vaccine.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 37° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 56° with mix of sun and clouds. Nice lunch with cousins from VA yesterday. They are helping son that lives near me pack for his move to Boise, ID next month. Need to get some weeding done in gardens around house today.
Not sure what this bird is. Little larger than a sparrow. On another site got a reply. Female Red Wing Black Bird. I would have never thought that.

Good Morning All.

Good morning, low was 37 and the high will be 55°F. Wind NE 9 mph. 40% chance of showers with possible T-storm in afternoon.

I got the implements out of the weeds, but my loader
wouldn't pick them up high enough to get them on the trailer.
I will see if the garage will come and pick them up. If not then there is another guy that actively collects scrap, he has gotten scrap off me before.

On Wednesday the 12th my DIL has an appointment to check out another hospice, this one in Huntsville, ON.

Sunday the 16th I go south for my drivers license medical and back to work on the 17th. The tentative date for going north-west is June 1. That will give me 10 days for the shakedown cruise.

Interesting bird Ron. Lunch for one of my cats.

Have a safe day all

43F cloudy mid 50's for high mostly cloudy day.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...Slow but steady start wheel barrowing dry firewood into basement than see what what the rest of day brings.

Enjoy your day all.

light rain is stopping but more showers possible this afternoon. 1.29 inches so far, temps in the 60's today.

RS, great fish pics.

got into bit of argument with house painter yesterday, told him rain was due in less than two hours, which was accurate, and he
needed to stop painting. He mumbled something like I know what I am doing. Really? (he was a landscaper crew boss before his current new
painting position). Most of us know it's not good to have rain fall on wet paint but another inability to communicate that frustrates me.
He came recommended to me so I recommended him to landlady. Not again...

likely a quiet inside day, some one armed floor mopping and cleaning.

Comcast internet just crashed, using Verizon backup

Good morning! 67˚F heading to the upper 80s cloudy. Up too early, Whipper had to go outside, she is a good dog but will never pass up a roll in stink, I think she enjoys a bath.

Kyle is the 50/50 mask wearing in Giddings or College Station? Here masks are still required in neighborhood buildings, and all stores. Compliance is still 100% except in the small filling stations stores where they have taken down the mandatory mask signs.

This morning is the spring cleaning in the gardens morning, I have been summoned, several tractor jobs await.

44 right now...high in the mid-50's and overcast. No rain predicted

Definitely a dump run this morning (within the next hour, I'd say). If the field is dry enough, I'll head down to do some trimming (branches, small trees) before mowing the field. If the field is wet, and the lawn isn't too wet, mow the lawn sometime this weekend
That's the plans...we'll just see what gets executed...

well keep your heads down...20 ton Chinese rocket falling back to Earth perhaps today or tomorrow.
And they aren't sure it will all burn up.
Another gift from the Chinese.
They said they would know more an hour or two before it hit.
Probably a big wagering event on where it hits...
It would be appropriately ironic if it landed back in China.
This is an embarrassing black eye to China's space program, this isn't supposed to happen.
You can't let the really big stuff just fall back to Earth, you either recover it or make sure it heads elsewhere or high enough to not matter.

all the more reason to have a cab tractor, right? :) 🚜

43 going to 65 and sunny.

LS, real nice job on those hydraulics.

Roasted coffee much of the day yesterday so I'd have extra to give to my son and fiancee.

Bears tore down all of out bird feeders last night, except the 4 I brought in to keep away from the raccoons.

Don, I'd sure love to be heading out for a couple of tractor jobs. Have fun. Your pics of gardens there are always inspiring.
