Isn't speaking English part of becoming a US citizen?
It used to be. Somewhere along the line it became more fashionable to bend over backwards to let people maintain their native "culture", including their language. That's working out well, huh?

Clarify ?
Underlying causes (of death) seem to be disregarded in the interest of the reporting party. If you accepted the covid virus death numbers you should accept the death by vaccination numbers. Same reporting entity - CDC

The CDC does not report "death by vaccination numbers" ... and they clearly say so on their website.

Only adverse events (including deaths) ... which may not have any causal linkage whatsoever to the administration of a vaccine.

When do we say working equals eating?
In the pilot to the "Then Came Bronson" series, the lead character picks up a lady hitchhiker, and neither of them have much money. They roll by a brick yard, and Bronson gets a job cleaning mortar off bricks. She refuses to work. He works an afternoon, they find a free place to camp (try doing that these days), and he whips up a plate of bacon and eggs he bought with his hard earned cash. One plate, for him. Earlier, when the hitchhiker wouldn't work, he told her "You don't work, you don't eat." When she whines about how hungry she was, he repeated himself ,and finshed the plate! :ROFLMAO:

These days, she’d get on social media. A group of hostile “Unemployeed Lives Matter” folks would show up, take the food give it to her and launch a cancel culture attack on working people are racially denying the non working.

Interesting work/ wages discussion. I think in many cases it’s policy over pay. More money doesn’t always make for happier workers.
I’m a bit concerned that the latest livable wage push is gonna made it a lot tougher on those on fixed income (the retired).

RNG,

On your Deer Scram situation not knowing how you applied the product, I'm afraid I can't offer much in the way of insights.

However, I can tell you this:

I did not read the directions before I applied it to the hosta around two ornamentals here at the house.

Being without knowledge of the recommended procedure and method, I just went ahead and sprinkled it on the hosta plants themselves, as well as slightly outside (a couple inches at most) their perimeter.

I am happy to report that - thus far - I have seen no indication that the deer are eating them ... (y)

I will report further ... if that changes ... ;)

Checked nest box No. 4 while I was out ... had a male house sparrow in it, with around 5 - 6 eggs. Removed the nest and eggs. HOSP flew off.

Checked nest box No. 3, has what looks like a HOSP nest in it, with at least one live hatchling (hard to see) Started to remove the nest, then thought I probably should visually identify whoever is occupying the nest before doing so.

Refilled three suet feeders and partially filled the nugget feeder and hung it back up. Emptied bird bath. Off to finish cleaning it out and refilling sunflower tube feeders. Then feed fish and clean off shelf for sparrow trap.

Have a call into Eddie's to see if they have the large containers of mealworms available.

Be nice to see the virus discussion taken to a different thread.

50°. Pouring rain and crazy traffic on way home. .48” rain at home. Traffic Backups have reached pre COVID levels.
Wife got caught in traffic backup going to pharmacy.
Sometimes mail lady does 3 pT turn in my driveway, which I prefer over her backing out thru the flower bed again. And the mailbox alarm is still working well. Batteries at 94%, was 97% when I installed it.

My company has been having a lot of people leave since we got bought out by a large company. People liked the way it was, now a lot of forced change. I see a slow decline.

Well, yes ... that is correct - and while true, that doesn't really have any bearing on my previous comments.

And "death by vaccination" implies that a vaccination was the cause.

CDC specifically says the data cannot be used in that way - read the "Strengths and Limitations of VAERS Data" on the page you linked.

That is what is happening to my company as well.

Birdbath cleaned out and sunflower tube feeders refilled (along with birdbath)

Took a few minutes just to sit out on the patio and enjoy the afternoon sun. I saw two different Bluebirds, at least one Eastern Phoebe, a Red-beliied Woodpecker, a White-breasted Nuthatch, a Tufted Titmouse, and a Mourning Dove. Was quite enjoyable ... even though it was a touch on the chilly side.

Checked nest box No. 5 - at least 4 Bluebird eggs.

Then got all the downstairs fish fed.

J. marlieri fry rising to feed on a cloud of banana worms:

Discovered the J. dickfeldi and the N. multifasciatus have both spawned (could see small, new fry in the tanks)

Also found out someone else snuck in a spawn between yesterday and today:

So I went ahead and netted and stripped her and got exactly 50 eggs which I put in the tumbler:

Interestingly, it was the same female (smallest one) that spawned last month.

That raises the question whether the two other (larger) females are egg-bound, with calcified eggs in their egg ducts.

That may require some remedial action.

The VARES is a part of the CDC.

From the website

VAERS accepts and analyzes reports of possible health problems—also called “adverse events”—after vaccination. As an early warning system, VAERS cannot prove that a vaccine caused a problem. Specifically, a report to VAERS does not mean that a vaccine caused an adverse event. But VAERS can give CDC and FDA important information. If it looks as though a vaccine might be causing a problem, FDA and CDC will investigate further and take action if needed.

Anyone can submit a report to VAERS — healthcare professionals, vaccine manufacturers, and the general public. VAERS welcomes all reports, regardless of seriousness, and regardless of how likely the vaccine may have been to have caused the adverse event.

In other the data may have ???? Value at best
