Howdy Ron! Always liked red wing blackbirds, or baltimore orioles, or whatever they are.

Daughter's prom went well. Made it home safely before midnight.

Eric, nice bluebells.

Even though the small area I tilled was 10" deep mud, I went ahead and planted my tomato plants. I hope they don't drown like they did when Hurricane Harvey hit.

Starting to think about another used car for commuting.

Prayers for our team and country.

74 and partly cloudy @ 12:00, heading up to a high of 80F. Should be a beautiful day ... but somewhat unfortunate that my appointment for second vaccine shot happens to be in the middle of the afternoon. Just happy to get it though.

I see there is one suet feeder around back that needs filled, so that's on the list for the day.

Downstairs fish did not get fed yesterday, so it is as well.

Calling for rain here next three days (Mon/Tue/Wed) ... so certainly seems like mowing should be on the list for today.

Need to clean the aerator and inspect it.

Was also hoping to get the back patio cleaned off and that piece of FRP brought inside.

May have another piece of FRP that can be put in the bottom of the dump cart to keep it from getting beat up.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe Sunday ... (y)

Why not just bend the drawbar straight or make a new one? Seems like an easier fix, and addresses the problem directly.

1. It's a new item, and still under warranty.

2. A straight drawbar may not leave the drawbar sitting completely level (although I suspect it would be close enough to handle the issue I'm having)

3. Probably doesn't handle the issue I will likely have with other implements (dethatcher, tow-behind spreader) that I'll be dragging behind it.

I think I'd try flipping over the aerator's drawbar (if that's possible).

It's really not - IIRC (which itself is questionable ...) there is a slot in the drawbar which the lever that raises and lowers the wheels goes through.

Unfortunately the slot is not in the center of the drawbar IIRC - therefore it's non-symmetrical - and the bolt holes for the drawbar would not line up with their holes, if one had the slot for the lever lined up properly.

Need to verify that though.

If that isn't feasible, I'd look around for a drop hitch to rig to the mower.

That's the direction I'm leaning.

Even if you can't find one, shouldn't be too difficult to fabricate something

Yup ... doesn't have to be real heavy-duty ... Cub's tow capacity is only rated for 250 lbs. IIRC.

I was thinking roy's idea of adjustable drop hitch.

(y)

Yeah ... something along those lines ... but I'll make it bolt-on (want to avoid welding on it ... or scraping off any that shinny new paint ;))

Poured first cup of coffee. 64° with mostly clear skies. Heading to 81° with mix of sun and clouds. Cleaned up a few little items around yard yesterday. Must have over done it. Have aches and pains this morning.

Hope you feel better and the pain goes away soon.

Garden pond cleaning this morning. Lot of maple helicopters have fallen into pond.

Haven't seen any of those falling here yet ... but I think we're real close. Today could be the day where they start coming down.

Then conserve energy and watch some NASCAR in afternoon.

Enjoy the NASCAR ... and thanks for the RWBB picture ...

Glad to have you back ... (y)

66°F and .12 inches rain.

Looking like a good day to hang some electrical boxes.

Very enjoyable evening out with friends. Hard to believe it had been more than 2 years since last time. One of those interesting American couples. Mo is an Iranian immigrant who landed in Ca. Leslie of mixed Japanese heritage with family ties to Hilo that grew up in CA. Both are LA government retirees. They bought their Hilo couple a few years back but soon realized they wanted to be closer to their grown children back in LA. Kept the condo to vacation here.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Well, rain wasn't in the forecast, but that's what happening right now...cool clammy weather!

But, I did get the lawn mowed! Some areas didn't need it, so I didn't mow those spots.

Had a couple beers and watching YouTube "Good Works Tractors" videos. He's primarily a used Deere dealer, but has videos that apply to any brand tractor.

Thinking about a nap...in fact, that's inevitable on a rainy Sunday afternoon!

Afternoon all! 70 here with rain.
I was able to get the snow blower off of the riding mower at the apartment house and put on the mower.
I also did some digging in the back yard here and got 3 small stumps pulled out of the ground. Made a heck of a mess when I used the tractor to bring them to the property line. Still way to wet for tractor work! Big ruts that will have to be fixed now. Oh well.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
