good morning all. Looks like just above freezing out, fingers crossed nothing dies.
should be a nice day up into sixties in sun. (y)
Unfortunate discussion with surgeon office yesterday who asked where my surgery preclearances were.
I thought they were getting them, as has always happened in the past. Not this time, so now I have one more doc appt this
morning at primary and another one Monday with cardiologist to clear me for surgery. Huge waste of time and money but I'm sure
insurance regs drives this bus.

Bird, you are an inspiration for all of us. Just keep doing the best you can and keep your sense of humor.

Just finished a home made apple blueberry muffin with a nice cup of coffee. I tupperwared the rest of the muffins, need to give them away,
if I keep them in fridge sooner or later I'll eat them and I'm 20#+ over as it is.

Good morning, low is 29°F and the high will be 55. Wind W 5 mph. Sunny!

The wood furnace got almost all installed yesterday, except for the smoke pipe. I need to pick up a 2' piece of it when I go and get the power washer this morning. The only reason I got them to install it was the 550 lbs it weighs and going downstairs is not my best trait.

It is a long way from Texas to Ontario, so I don't think I have too much to worry about when oldest daughter does get her license.

My neighbour across the street got her license at age 45 and the week after she got it she took her older (86) Ford pickup and drove to Denver, CO and back. I think she had a angel parked on her shoulder.

Jobs for today; go get power washer, pick up old incinerator and load in trailer for dump, haul trailer to dump, drop by grocery store and get 20 bags of black earth, set up totes for the container garden, grab the 20 bags that has sat all winter on south side of house and spread that out on the lawn where it is needed and seed with Scotts turf builder grass seed.
IF I get all that done, I will have put in a good day.

Have a safe day all

burgers turned out really good, was a 85% lean ribeye mixture for 4.99 a pound which seemed reasonable.
one of these sure filled me up and quietly seem to always clog me up in the bathroom though. Next set of burgers will
be vegan, on my burger rotation. Then salmon.
My experimenting with ground flax seed on outside didn't do much.

Good morning, I got off around the fields early this morning before the sun was fully up, most were white over with frost. Wanted to get back in good time to get the tractor out with pallet forks on as I'm not sure what time the steel supplier will be delivering.

First prototype fish refuge is ready to launch. I zip tied some old geotextile on the top, as everything I have read says the fish much prefer it to be shaded. There are a few branches of alder woven in there too to make it more attractive for them. Before I put it in the water, I need a float to show where it is. Any suggestions on what to use that would last a long time with minimal chance of sinking ? - My first thoughts were a sea fisherman's pot marker buoy, then thought I could perhaps makes something more discreet from solvent weld pipe.

Roy, you won't stop smiling for days, maybe weeks, once you treat yourself to those pallet forks. The guy in the video was real lucky to get that second load off without it toppling onto his cab.

Good morning.
36 headed to 64 and clear

Yesterday I ended up helping clear a clogged main drain for my son. Started out as cutting up an abandoned oil fired boiler to get it out of his basement when the mission creeped.

Today I’m helping my mechanical contractor friend finish a heat pump installation and chase a refrigerant leak on another.
No tractor time today.

Tomorrow is off to Marsh Harbour again.

Good Morning!!!! 50F @ 4:15AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 78F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.
Sunday's rain amount has now dropped to less than 3/4". Sigh...

I'd be tempted to use one of the quart sports drink bottles, Eric. I made a bait station for yellow jackets out of one a couple years ago, and it's weathered a couple of summers now seemingly unharmed. Or you could try some monofilament fishing line and a bobber, which would seem to be made for the job.

Good luck getting all that done, Bill. Just remember there's tomorrow if you don't.

That's some tough news, Bird. Hope the new meds work for you.

Did that SpaceX launch contain more Starlink satellites, David? The Crosstalk guy has more videos up on it.

Nothing left of the vaccination side effects but a slightly sore arm. 👍

New burglar alarm arrived yesterday, but I didn't have time to even open the box. Might get to that this morning. Bunch of other stuff, too, with deliveries from USPS, UPS, and FedEx all in the same day.

Got the gravel spread for the bucked wood stack, and soaked it with Fipronil. Still need to give it a dose of RM43 to keep the weeds out, which will probably win out on messing with the alarm system. Need to get it done before the wind picks up this afternoon.

The Lyrids meteor shower peaked night before last, and I caught a nice one this morning looking out the bedroom slider.

TGIF gang!🥂

Mornin all, Sunny and did not get frost last night. happy
Got wife's new bird house up, about all I could do with the wind.

Kyle- prayers for your cars :)

Drew - insurance pre-approvals are a pain-especially since the Dr. already said you need this. More $ flowing through an amazingly bureaucratic system, Hope you get all your ducks lined up in time.

Stay safe and be well. Maybe will get some time to pick up more sticks, put in some plants and use the new Pole Saw.

46°F and light rain this morning, going up to 63° today. This was the rain they said yesterday we wouldn't be getting. More coming tonight and through most of the day tomorrow. Sure wish we could send some of that your way, RNG.

Had grass mowing, aeration, and over-seeding in the plans for this weekend. I guess we'll see what Sunday has to offer.

We keep a few boxes of the Velveeta Shells & Cheese in the cabinet as well, Bird. It's easy, and it's not awful. Best mac-n-cheese I've ever had was from my first wife's (late) mother. I watched her make it, but never could get it quite right myself. When I asked her what I was missing, she just smiled and said, "That's my recipe, sonny. You'll just have to come over and eat it here." Was talking with my ex- a few years ago and that recipe came up in the conversation. She told me her mother never wrote it down, so she doesn't have it either. Shame. It really was ridiculously good.

Sorry to read about your diagnosis. I suppose many of us will walk that same path sooner or later. Hope they can come through with something to slow the progress.

Up to 50F sunny. Just back from John Deere with $160 worth of oil, filters, hydraulic juice, Special green grease. May even get some mowing done later.

The itching is getting better. The poison ivy tree is a 4" or 5" tree that is covered with poison ivy. looks like a tall bush. The tree died and fell over the lane but something is keeping it from falling all the way down. I just need to get it down on the ground and then push it back into the woods. If you mess with poison ivy there is a good chance you are going to pay. I can get away with it in the winter but it is starting to leaf out now so it's more dangerous. What I need is an 11 foot pole.:)

RNG, any interest in a cab for your M62?
My tractoring is pretty much confined to the milder temps of the rainy season, Drew, at least for the ground engagement jobs. So even though that cab doesn't come with A/C, it wouldn't do me much good even if it did. Those same mild winter temps make a cab heater unnecessary, too, and an open station is really all that's necessary. Especially since the M62 already comes with a pretty good sized roof that covers the ROP bars. So my answer to your question is no, but I'm sure there are plenty of folks that would appreciate one in the northern states when they're using one to push snow or do other outside work in the winter.

Could you get a logging chain around the base and drag it that way? The chain will get crapped up (that's where my current dose came from), but with washable gloves and a long sleeve shirt, you can keep it off of you for the most part. Then pressure wash the chain and anything you touched on the tractor. Which is something I still need to do...

As far as the poison ivy;
I would just spray the heck out of any leafs that I saw with roundup and or remedy all season long,
eventually it will die off.

65°F and .04 inches rain. Overcast, sprinkling as I type.

Primary task today is mowing, depending on wx.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

59F and partly cloudy @ 14:00, headed up to a high of 60F (maybe)

Birds, chipmunks, and squirrels at feeders this morning. Looks like there has been a squirrel on the squirrel feeder all day long so far. They might get it drained by days end.

Fish and cats all fed, have to dish out mealworms for the bluebirds, load those and the wheel hubs in van and take them up to the shop.

Have a look at the compost/wood lot when I'm up there ... may need mowed.

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)
