Welcome Danica. Have been going to a friend's mountain cabin near Arkville off Drybrook Road since 1972.
I hear real estate is booming once again up your way, everyone trying to get out of the diseased city and work from home
in a mountain paradise. Usually a bit of a drive to the grocery store though...
And now a snow slide/avalanche wrecked the local ski resort where I used to have lunch on the terrace.
Great area, very pretty, 4 hour drive from here. Do you still have snow on the ground there or all melted?

Welcome Danica to GM. Good luck with the snowblower and be careful.
Brother went to college in New Paltz and I hung out with people in Kingston way back when.

Good afternoon. 67 now, high of 74 today. Like rs noted, it rained hard here overnight, but didn’t see any puddles this morning. We really need the rain, I was surprised how dry the grass was Wednesday when I mowed.

We are supposed to get rain tomorrow. Hopefully we do and it is worthwhile. Hate to start the season dry.

Odd about people using the brakes on a motorcycle. Guess a lot of it is what you have done with bikes over the years. I tend to be hard on the front brake on the street and trail brake with the rear, fairly even off road, and when I used to flat track and ice race, I used no brake at all. My ice racer didn’t even have any brake parts installed. Learned how to use the front tire to scrub speed. Yet the bike I raced indoor flat track had an excellent rear brake that got used hard. Different tools for different jobs.

Kyle - I wasn’t thinking about Peoria. More like feet up sideways against the cush at Lima!

Not sure what the weekend is gonna bring. Figure it out as it goes

Everyone stay safe out there

Time to take the NH snowblower off the Ford. Not fun alone so I use a variety of diy rolling carriages to move it around. At 1,000+ lbs it is a chore.

I've found that bigger wheels on the implement dollies help with the heavier implements.

Our neighborhood is looking for ways to reduce the deer population. There is no shooting or hunting so it has to be creative. Now they are trapping deer with nets and killing them, then give the processed meat to the food bank.
Remove the males also feed food source they like the most.
