Everybody around here in NE WA state seems to be getting the Moderna shots. Both of the shots were basically nothing. The second one got a small red dot, itched for a day, went away.

HOWEVER - the first shot, about seven weeks ago, was the highlight of my week. The Dr administering the shot was the cutest brunette I've seen in a long time. She wasn't around for shot #2.

I check every morning sadly not yet Mrs. put table out for bear with little goodies,between raccoon deer nothing left come day break.

Plans for today...remove rear tire chains scraper blade than put on all purpose hitch basket on Kubota,rack what stones dirt from lawn to driveway,other than that not sure yet.

Good Morning
It’s 29 with a high of 63 coming this afternoon.
Clear skies and gentle winds.

Yesterday was pretty productive in the shop, wood work is done on two speakers, as well as the crossovers. Have to finish the input/control plates and wire them to the crossover, then start applying the finish.

Tomorrow, it looks like I’ve got to go to Ft Myers to pick up my partner and take him to Washington, Pa. that will pretty much kill the day.

Saw the red tail yesterday. Amazing how quiet it get here when one of them is around.
First frog has appeared and some of the daffodils are starting to open!

Vinca and buttercups are starting to flower too.

Spring here, feeling a little better.

Good morning! 60˚F heading to the mid 70s, cloudy. FireWise this morning. We have a half mile to clear along the creek, should be fun about 15 volunteers have been showing up so we move pretty fast.

Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 5:30AM. Sunny. High 79F. Winds N at 10 to 20 mph.
Yesterday's high wind has been delayed until today; we only saw 12 MPH. The new prediction doesn't exactly seem high at 20MPH, but what do I know? Still only showing 0.1" of rain in the WU 10-day, but the weather guy on the TV last night was more optimistic.

Lots of seat time yesterday gathering firewood. All from standing dead trees, was able to just push most of them over with the FEL, which also pulled the root ball. Ran into one triple trunked oak that was a little more stubborn; I didn't notice at first that one of the trunks still showed some life. Hooked a couple log chains together and pilled off the box blade and one trunk snapped off, used a chain saw to partially cut the next two, keeping them from falling in the wrong direction. Today I'll try to get a downed tree sitting about 50' down a steep hillside. I think I have enough chain, but maybe I'll try out the winch. I'm a little bit afraid of a snapped cable, so I'll throw a tarp over the line just in case.

Visited with my bulldozer neighbor and his wife yesterday, getting a tour of the progress they're making on their house remodel. All new stucco on the outside, all new drywall on the inside, new floors, new windows, a huge amount of work. You wouldn't recognize the place, and it's all beautiful. What a change from the drug den the place used to be before they bought it.

Has anyone scored a J&J shot?

Here in PA I think they are giving the J&J to the teachers. They are probably happy to get their shot sooner and it probably saves the vaccination centers from having to deal with people who would rather have the good stuff.

50°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 72° today. Looks like we drop into the upper 20s Wednesday and Thursday nights, then back up in the 70s by the weekend. Maybe winter's last hurrah?

The Wife got a call yesterday from a guy claiming to be from the FBI investigating 18 newly opened accounts in her name, and talking about prison time for fraud. She said he came across as quite believable right up to the point where he mutilated the pronunciation of "February." She made him repeat it three times before she finally figured out what he was trying to say. Then she started making fun of him, which apparently angered him. He yelled at her to stop interrupting him, so she said OK, and hung up on him. He tried calling back 14 more times, then finally sent her a text message that read "F*** you!" Nice try, Bozo.

Our broody hen bit me last night when I went out and moved her to check for eggs. It actually broke the skin on my knuckle. Wife and I were just talking last week about how thin the skin on our hands has gotten already.

Toppop I'm laying my money down on the nice weather and going out to plant squash plants, now that a productive trip to
Tractor Supply brought me back with the solar fence charger I needed plus some other supplies. Even bought a pack of peas on a whim.
On sale fence charger with same rating and slightly larger case/solar panel for same price as the one on Amazon that got delivered someplace
other than here.

I have thermal covers to put over the little gardens since we have two nights of cold weather coming but then, thump on still cold ground, forecast looks ok.
Until the big April freeze, which based on the last few years isn't likely to happen.

64F and sunny @ 12:30, headed up to a high of 70F. Winds from the SSW @ 20 to 30 mph, with gusts over 40. Some cool weather for the next three days, then warmer after that.

Just had to let orange cat into linen closet ... too funny.

Spent a couple hours on the phone yesterday morning and afternoon catching up with relatives.

Got garbage taken up to the can at the road last evening.

Got small Amazon order placed last night. Still need to finish up Menards order and get Menards rebates in the mail.

Feed fish and check bird feeders, get that last bluebird house put up (found the fitting), and push the fallen tree off the driveway back into the woods on the menu. Probably do a little box blade work on the driveway. Might screen a little composted soil while I'm at it.

Have to check and see, but also might have some ripped pieces of plywood that need cut to length for shelves. If so, today would probably be a good day to get that done.

Then I saw on Facebook his email had been hacked.

Then they gave a story about needing me to get Amazon gift cards for his niece with cancer, blah blah.

I responded “ give me a call”

Never heard another word from them.
