Good morning!!!!

Morning to all,
Well getting up in Strasburg, VA this morning on my way to NC.
Yep the forums on RAM eco diesels were correct when you get the message service DEF see dealer truck will not start in 200 miles.
If you fix the original issue, mine was DEF quality, we drained the tank and replaced the DEF.
I am going to guess that winter time short trips doesn't thaw the DEF enough for it to be used, in the last 2 oil changes or about 15,000 miles I hadn't used even half a tank. So changed the DEF cleared the check engine light couldn't clear the see dealer message so just drove it.
When the dealer message got to 0 miles it changed to truck will not start and sure enough the "key" wouldn't start the truck, but "key" on open the hood and pull the start relay and jump the contacts and she would start and run. About halfway thru PA the message went away and the truck has been starting fine.

Here's to everyone have a good day stay healthy and good luck

If somebody told us twenty years ago that we would need exhaust fluid, we’d have said,”sure, put it right over next to the muffler bearings and blinker fluid.

Good morning, the temperature is 23°F and the high will be 43. Wind calm. Cloudy. 60% periods of snow.

The snow is disappearing fast, but no standing puddles, yet. There are some puddles in the driveway, but I just drive through them until the ground is thawed, then I cut drainage ditches off to the sides.

I am thinking about getting a 20' sea-can. It is going to come down to price. I've seen them advertised for $2500.oo, I don't know if that is delivered and set in place or not. I want it for my genny, conveyor, rock bucket and back hoe.

Today is an energy conservation day for sure.

Happy Birthday Kyles' son.

Happy St. Paddys' Day all

Have a safe day all

If that price includes delivery, it's a great one. The delivery fee on the one I got was about 50% of the overall cost.

Good Morning
It’s 32 with a forecast high of 50 today. Cloudy skies an rain forecast overnight continuing until Friday.

Yesterday’s trip was interesting. Significant weather was along the coastal Carolinas as well as offshore combined with military activity off the coast limiting the ability to divert around weather. So I made the decision to follow the coastline rather than take the shorter off shore route. The weather had all moved far enough east for return trip that we could go over the ocean on the way home. The coastal routing took us right over Cape Canaveral giving us a good view of the launch pads and assembly building.

Other than stopping at the Odd Fellows lodge and adjusting the thermostats for daylight savings time on the way home from the airport, I accomplished nothing else.

I’ve got lots to catch up on in the shop, on hopefully get vaccinated

Plans for today...try clean up more limbs/branch on side lawn if snow not to deep or icy,if so remove pickup load driveway sand from the shed and spread on drive way, other than that enjoy the weather.

Enjoy the day al.

Good Morning!!!! 44F @ 5:00AM. More clouds than sun. High 61F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

To spoof the electric eyes into letting the gate opener work, I used electrical tape to fasten them together, and the alignment wasn't real great. Took it back apart yesterday and found some screws long enough, and made up some spacers, and it's really solid now. That seems to have fixed the problem, though the answer seems to simple. But in the process of sorting that out, also dug into the exit loop sensor, and rewired it. Doesn't seem to have made a difference, though. I have a replacement on the shelf, so if I get time, I'll try that today.

Got a letter from a collection agency yesterday about the T-Mobile charge I'd disputed, and that T-Mobile had said was taken care of. Tried to get T-Moble on the phone, but gave up after 45 minutes on hold. Called the collection agency, and they told me that the debt had been cancelled. Looking back at the paperwork, T-Mobile turned the matter over to collections only two days after sending me the first warning letter, which took 10 days to arrive. With business practices like that, it's doubtful I'll ever give T-Mobile another chance.

Got another pair of steel pallets cut up, but the Bosch angle grinder packed up half way through. Bad bearing in the angle drive seems to be the issue, but it looks to be a readily available part and fairly inexpensive. Finished up using a comparatively under powered Makita battery tool, and it took six batteries to get it done, plus a 3/4 recharge of another. Like the battery powered chain saw, it didn't take much to stall the tool, which then required a on/off/on cycle to reset it. And the more charge was used, the easier it was to stall, so it really slowed things down. The first pallet came apart in half an hour, the second one took an hour and fifteen minutes. Yeah, I'm gonna fix the Bosch. I also have a Makita 120 VAC body grinder, so I'll fire that up today to smooth up the cut welds. It's so heavy it doesn't get much use, but I bet it'll go faster than with the smaller Bosch.

I've run into a fair number of Scotsmen in my time, Eric, and most of them have been fairly easy to understand. The pair I ran into in a Salzburg bar, though, were entirely unintelligible. They were roaring drunk, and apparently were trying to ask us to buy them another round. Once we caught on, we tried to ignore them, then ended up leaving the place when they started to get disorderly...

Glad you got the DEF issue resolved, Lou. Another reason to hang onto my old Diesel Ford.

Happy St. Patrick's, and Hump, Day!

Morning all,
Drew - those look great, but would put me in the hospital with the butter. Luckily wife is a good baker and we found lactose free butter and cream cheese. She makes pumpkin pies and even baked us a cheese cake a few weeks back,
She does all this and still is mad at meo_O

Buppies - great news!

Happy birthday Kyles son and congrats on test score!

back to work for me.

Thanks for the pictures PopG-miss the old flying days. The cameras we used would have had details on what people were wearing on the ground, don;t know if we would have been able to read their name tags though, but probably could :)

Stay safe and be well

45°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 61° today. Some rain rolling through the area this morning, then some more active storms expected later today. Saw a tornado warning on the radar for the Arkansas/Mississippi area just south of Memphis earlier this morning. You guys down south be alert today.

Happy birthday to your son, Kyle. My youngest stepson turns 22 today as well.

Nice pic, Paul. I'm kind of surprised that's not restricted air space.

40 high of 66 today rain and storms tomorrow maybe one to two inches

still very relived about yesterdays results

Prayers for all our Country

Congratulations, Buppies on the great news! It has been so nice over the past while to hear about everyone’s vaccinations, and good news regarding Covid. It does seem like the evil veil is being lifted.

Speaking of which, SIL has been booked for Astrazeneca shot on March 26, because here in Ontario they are giving it out only to people aged 60 to 64. (Weird, because in Alberta they are giving it out to people aged 50 to 64.). Too bad because her husband, who also lives here in Ontario, is only 58.

Meanwhile, FIL got his first shot back in Alberta where he lives, and when he comes here to the retirement residence in Barrie, Ontario, they will give Pfizer shots to up to two “essential caregiver visitors“. That was going to be SIL and her husband, but now I may be able to take her place!

Today, after several days of below freezing temperatures, it’s going to be above freezing, so the sap buckets will start flowing again, and maybe we can even get enough sap to start boiling it down to make the Maple syrup soon!

So, good morning to all, and happy Saint Patrick’s day. Have to call my brother later today, because it is his birthday today. Then, on April 1 it’s both me and my sister!

Good morning! 57˚F clearing skies heading only to the 70s. Only .07"rain here last night. The cocorahs rain gauge and the Tempest matched exactly. However a larger thunderstorm above the park makes it too muddy to work there today. Weed and edge the yard today, still too short to mow but it is greening up.

Good news from Buppies and Kyle - Yea!

Drew, this is some info on the new safe sailing. This is from the Royal Caribbean cruise lines and Celebrity cruise line probably has something similar.

Good morning, little wind this morning, very pleasant to be outside in soft sunlight.

Bups (y)(y)

RS, you would be surprised, lots buy green slime by the bucket load. Market yours as "organic" and you could make a fortune :)

Kyle, I heard Wng now takes his cape off while chain sawing in case it snags the chain. IIRC this is the Health and Safety expert who helped him with the loose clothing risk assessment

Eric, I can't see the attachments???
This is interesting.

I hope that is correct. I hope my cough goes away, but it might be allergy related.

Thanks for the all the birthday greetings to my son. He's opened his 2 airsoft M16 rifles. I shot the plastic pellet at a cardboard shipping box, it went clean through 1 thickness of it at 6' range. Wifey bought some bio-degradable BB's. He also got some new work boots and clothes. He wants to go eat at Popeye's fried chicken today. His real party is on Saturday. Pizza galore and Dairy Queen ice cream cake.

I have started giving him the "You are now 11, and you will be expected to do some chores without us even asking you" speech....

Happy St. Paddy's day all. St. Pat used the 3 leaf clover to explain the trinity in our religion. And since I belong to a Lutheran church, and since Martin Luther and his wifey Katherine first used hopps to brew with, it is fine and dandy for me to enjoy a pint, without persecution from my fellow church brethren.

Poured first cup of coffee. 23° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 58° with mix of sun and clouds. Turned out to be a nice day yesterday. Got a few things on list done. Hope to continue on the list today.
One of the items was clean windows. They were dirty enough to affect quality of my pictures.

Buppies, good news. (y)

RNG, Good Taxes are done. I have not looked at mine since I found out I owe money. Need a rainy day.

Ken, planters look great.

PJ, sore from garage stuff. Wait until first Kayak trip.

Drew, not sure I would do the cruise. To many people trapped in a confined area. Hope it works out for you.

Randy, patience will win you a good deal.

Rick, no hog pictures.

RS, white worms.

David, keep your eyes on the road.

Kyle, sometime paybacks are good. Congrats to son and wish him Happy Birthday from me.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

"Rick, no hog pictures."

The hog was pissed off and close to digging out from under the trap. I had 9mm in my hand to protect the other guys if needed.

Phone .. was on the Ranger.

Good afternoon! 55 now, on the way to 66. Was near freezing this morning, but still road the bike. The electric gloves got turned up a bit this morning.

Good news buppies.

Happy birthday Kyle’s son and congrats on the test score

Kyle - I guess the guy thought I would stir the pot for a machine he paid $4,500 for (scrap value essentially) and was built 34 years ago. If that was something built in the last 15 years, he would have been in luck. But for what ever reason, people think old construction equipment should have parts availability forever. They don’t.

Everyone stay safe out there.

Happy St Paddy’s Day

64°F and 1.34 inches rain. May have to rethink my plan to continue mowing today.

I do have to make a PO run

Doing corned beef and cabbage in the Instant Pot w/ Guinness

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

59F and sunny @ 12:45, headed up to a high of 66F ... (y)

Ten Day forecast looking decent - cools off after today with some rain starting tonight, then highs in the 60's starting Sunday.

Amazon delivered breadbox yesterday, I got it put together last night.

Also got some more fish photography done yesterday, along with the worm harvesting ... still have a little more to do on that.

Probably install that o-ring on the filter today and put it back into operation.

The Woman reports no reactions to the vaccine ... (y)

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day.

I agree, I bet that green gook would be very good in a garden.
RS, take two identical small plants and put some of that green stuff at the base of
one of them. Science project time.

Sounds like a project for our Master Gardeners here in GM.

How about I send you and Don a quantity of the green slime and you two see what you can do with it ?

I'll even include some of those white worms ... gratis ... ;)
