Are those the same worms we used to get as Sea Monkees in the backs of Popular Mechanics?

No idea ... I never bought any Sea Monkeys ...

Update: Researching this mystery a little further I see that Sea Monkeys are a type of brine shrimp.

I have hatched and raised brine shrimp previously as food for young fish.

Just not the "Sea Monkey" brand ... ;)

busy day today. Electrician coming early for quote on upgrading service. Then off to Honda dealer in Doylestown for a quote on a Ridgeline.
You moved fast on that one. Hope you enjoy it. I only wondered about the towing capacity.
Got everything ready to cut down what's probably the biggest tree ever for me, including sharpening my chain, then replacing it with a brand new one. It's so nice to use a new chain...like starting a new razor blade. I don't think my resharpening ever gets a chain back to original. Well, drove back into the woods, my wife came along to be the spotter (mainly for calling 911, if needed) but by that time the wind kicked up so strong and gusty, I had to call it off. I did buck two big trees that I felled in February before the ice storm and flood, so a productive trip. One of the trees' rounds are too big to do much more than roll them, so I'm gonna have to tow the splitter to them. I need to do it before the rain hits, but I'm pretty sore this morning, and I brought back a load of those not too big to carry, and need to split those first.

The creek sand I placed on my woods trail on Saturday already had fresh fox and coyote tracks...now had R4 tracks. :)
A Borazon wheel works nice for sharpening. But you have to stop cutting before you dull the teeth too much or take away their temper. I still want a carbide tooth chain.
To be honest, I'm almost glad to hear even you, can get a little sore. I was beginning to think you have a cape and some nerdy glasses like Clark Kent. :)

13 today going to 37 with sunny skies.
63 trips around the sun for me today.
Happy Birthday Phil! I hope you have a great one.
Morning all;
A nice nippy 11F this morning a bit overcast had quite a bit of red sky this morning as the sun was trying to peek through.
Got my summer tires on and the oil and filters changed on my pu this weekend.
Then the fun part I got a DEF message that the DEF was correct so drained it out and replaced it, then the truck started
a count down Service DEF system see dealer, will not start in 200 miles. Did a bunch of running around now it's truck will
not start see dealer service DEF, I have read that 5 cold start and run cycles it should clear it's self we are at 4 now.
I have my start relay jumper made up and ready to go, used it for two starts yesterday, fun fun fun.
I'll be heading south to NC in a couple of hours to my SIL's.

Oh typing this on my new laptop, not as high a performance unit as Drew got, a Levono 17" i5 processor and 256 meg SSD.

Everyone stay safe and healthy
Lou, I'd be interested to hear how it turns out with the Def jumper cycles. I hope you win the battle.
So far, winning technical call of the day was someone wanting to know why we didn’t stock 2 seal kits for a 34 year old machine. We had 1....he is lucky we had that many. But he got a good buy on it at auction.

Why would you call technical support about parts availability? I have no idea

Everyone stay safe out there.
Because tech support is supposed to know how to get things going, and maybe there is a back door to something, not available to regular channels. Because they already got told no by the normal channels.... Also, just to get on your nerves...... :)
Got test results back this afternoon all clear a real relief
Awesome, awesome, awesome! I love good news.

Don was right. Again. Covid sitrep, update: I had tested positive Feb 12th, got Moderna 1st shot last Saturday morning Mar 13. Shoulder/arm was sore Sat evening, Sunday went to 9 am church, was feeling blah. Ran a couple errands and got home and plopped on couch. Feeling achy, lethargic, low grade fever, and worst of all, a splitting headache from pressure every time I coughed (I have an eternal leftover hack since Covid). The pollen is going nuts down here. Monday morning I woke up feeling fine. A Ph.D. at work told me the same thing that Don did.....that my having Covid should've counted like a 1st shot. I hope I don't suffer after the 2nd shot.

I still have shingles shots to get after this.

I found out that 2 gals who had quit working where I work are now at a new company that is mass producing Moderna vaccine.

Son's birthday is tomorrow. He will be 11. Our St. Paddy's day baby.
He came home from school and pulled my leg......
Son, "Dad, I got pulled out of class by the principal today"
Dad, "What did you do, did you get in trouble?"
Son, "No Dad, I don't get in trouble, he wanted to tell me I scored the highest in the school on the Staar Bench test."
Dad, "I love you and I'm proud of you."

Slow at work. About to order a bunch of replacement parts for the scroll compressor. It had ran for about 2000 hours since we had gotten it patched up last time. It has a large filter they call a separator filter, that had burst. It spewed out most of they $$$ synthetic compressor coolant/oil. Ingersoll wants $30 per quart, I found a Chevron equivalent for about $180 for 5 gallons. It holds about 2.5-3 gallons. The spewed oil mist soaked everything, so I'll get a new air filter.

Another large drug bust by the K9 unit in the county below us. They keep catching cartel mules driving the stuff from where ever down south towards Houston.
Marijuana, Cocaine, Meth, and now Fentanyl. The mules are usually from the "valley" in south Texas. The street values are usually in the millions.

Hope all are doing well. Prayers for those in need, and our country.

Kyle. I don’t know what the Staar Bench test is but I suspects it suggests you being a great Father to a great son. Congrats.

26 right now...high about 50 today...

Buppies, great news...so happy all came out well!

Snow tires off the Tacoma, all-seasons on. The wheels the all seasons were mounted on were used, but look brand new, included both the hubcaps and tire pressure sensors...no complaints about that!

Poured first cup of coffee. 23° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 58° with mix of sun and clouds. Turned out to be a nice day yesterday. Got a few things on list done. Hope to continue on the list today.
One of the items was clean windows. They were dirty enough to affect quality of my pictures.

Buppies, good news. (y)

RNG, Good Taxes are done. I have not looked at mine since I found out I owe money. Need a rainy day.

Ken, planters look great.

PJ, sore from garage stuff. Wait until first Kayak trip.

Drew, not sure I would do the cruise. To many people trapped in a confined area. Hope it works out for you.

Randy, patience will win you a good deal.

Rick, no hog pictures.

RS, white worms.

David, keep your eyes on the road.

Kyle, sometime paybacks are good. Congrats to son and wish him Happy Birthday from me.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

good morning all.
Congrats Kyle on your son doing so well in aptitude test.
Buppies, glad it was a better morning, a new day ahead.

cloudy today with highs around 50 with heavy rain coming in tomorrow, bringing in a
period of warmer weather. Spring is coming.

Don, I almost always use some apple sauce in the mix, cutting down butter/oil by at least half.
Learned that from you.
Ron, I will avoid crowded areas on ship as much as possible.

one minor trip downtown this morning, then no plans for rest of day.

Kyle, great son, great dad.

Buppies, !

45-55 today, we got a whole .04” of rain from the system that passed yesterday.
More rain tomorrow and maybe an inch of snow Friday before the warm up starts. I’d swear it was March!

Good morning and good day.

Happy St Patrick's Day!! I need to put my green flannel shirt on before my lovely wife wakes up.

41 going to 59. Very misty outside...the weather man said the cloud would lift off the ground by 9am, but not go anywhere else, so another cloudy day...then snow Friday.

Such good news, Buppies. Praying no more like that appear!

Happy Birthday to Kyle-son! ...and super news on the test score. I hope he has regained all of his privileges and gets to celebrate on the bike.

Went off trail in the battlefield forest park yesterday and discovered a great view of the waterfalls and rapids from a high bluff...best view in the park, but I can understand why they didn't run a trail there...sheer dropoff, and the park is designated as unimproved, so minimal construction/maintenance. Then met up with a hiker who was playing a virtual reality type game on his phone...he was battling another guy on the internet, trying to "kill" a trail sign, which had been converted into a special portal in their world...I played with his dog while he did battle.

St Patty's Day? good to know, thanks Wngsprd. I think my green LL bean shirt is in the hamper though...bad timing.

In some ways this celebration was always associated with excessive drinking of beer. Often green.
Ireland, England and Scotland have seemed to have had their issues for a long time.
Some challenges being neighbors for sure. Lots of wars. US didn't do too well with Mexico either.
But if you envisioned an Irish man, an English man and a Scot, I bet
a fair number of you would see the Irish guy with a mug of beer in his hand.
But so too for the Brits and the Scots. At the pub. For a sociable pint and some darts.

Now we wouldn't. Now we think of 88 sheep grazing on a fine English meadow.

Good morning, little wind this morning, very pleasant to be outside in soft sunlight.

Bups (y)(y)

Yeah ... not much market for green slime I'd imagine.

RS, you would be surprised, lots buy green slime by the bucket load. Market yours as "organic" and you could make a fortune :)

I was beginning to think you have a cape and some nerdy glasses like Clark Kent

Kyle, I heard Wng now takes his cape off while chain sawing in case it snags the chain. IIRC this is the Health and Safety expert who helped him with the loose clothing risk assessment

I agree, I bet that green gook would be very good in a garden.
RS, take two identical small plants and put some of that green stuff at the base of
one of them. Science project time.

one of my science fair projects in high school was growing potatoes with varying amounts
of water and fertilizer. Really was sort of a flop despite my signage but at least we got
to eat the project when we were done. That started me off on a life of loving to grow potatoes...

Morning to all,
Well getting up in Strasburg, VA this morning on my way to NC.
Yep the forums on RAM eco diesels were correct when you get the message service DEF see dealer truck will not start in 200 miles.
If you fix the original issue, mine was DEF quality, we drained the tank and replaced the DEF.
I am going to guess that winter time short trips doesn't thaw the DEF enough for it to be used, in the last 2 oil changes or about 15,000 miles I hadn't used even half a tank. So changed the DEF cleared the check engine light couldn't clear the see dealer message so just drove it.
When the dealer message got to 0 miles it changed to truck will not start and sure enough the "key" wouldn't start the truck, but "key" on open the hood and pull the start relay and jump the contacts and she would start and run. About halfway thru PA the message went away and the truck has been starting fine.

Here's to everyone have a good day stay healthy and good luck
