I had some issues with mail theft back in the late '80s, BEF. I was ordering a lot of music CDs back then, and someone apparently took notice. Talked with the postmaster, who told me they'd turn it over to the postal inspector's office. Never heard anything more about it, but the thefts eventually stopped.

Sorry you're having to deal with that.

Not sure theft from box is the issue, but rather USPS claiming delivery when it wasn’t. At least this will alert me whenever someone opens the box. I have a camera aimed at my mailbox, and mail did come at 2:21 pm when post office said they dropped it Tuesday. However, last package that USPS claimed they delivered, no delivery on camera for a 3 hr window around the time they claimed. I live on busy road, lots of vehicles and camera catches most. But takes a long time to watch thru it all. With a time stamp from this, I’ll be able to find the video quickly. Mail box also on other side of road, I can’t see if they actually put a package in, so would like a camera in the box.

The juice came back on after being out for 5 hours. I went to bed and just got up to p about an hour ago. I will probably stay up till about 6 A.M. then go back for a power nap. Being an over the road truck driver has its' perks. I can go to sleep almost anytime I want to, get up about 4+ hours later and go again until later and still get to sleep again.

Higher than normal winds brought tree branches down onto the wires and that killed the juice. It happens every time we get strong winds from the west, east, north or south and all points in between. Wind now down to 13 mph out of the west.

50 right now and steadily dropping all day...it'll be in the 30 when I get off work at 1530.

Didn't get the tires out of the outbuilding...think I'll do that tomorrow (Saturday) after the dump run...

Coffee is done brewing. 36° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 51° with scattered clouds. Temperature made it to 68° yesterday. But lots of wind. Recorded on my weather station 36 mph. It's protected and does usually read ture max wind. I did not conserve energy as planned. Made a cardboard template of the rear window area on mule. Cut Lexan and installed it. Very happy with it. Grocery shopping today. No other plans yet.
Not as brilliant as AZ. Good for MI.

Buckeye, what did you get for mailbox alert. The one I bought a couple of years ago has never worked reliably. Batteries are the problem.

David, great dog picture. Puppy has grown fast.

Don, hope your Moms mower is only the switch.

Buppies, prayers for good surgery outcome today.

RS, rain missed me yesterday. Need some rain to clean winter off everything.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Good Morning
55 and forecast to go to 63 today.

Yesterday’s trip went well, but I really didn’t get any thing done when I got home other to run a few errands.

Today I’ve got to drive back to the Philly airport (an hour each way) to oversee an oxygen service that didn’t get accomplished previously. I’m spoiled by having a good running, well oiled organization, so it’s annoying when I have deal with stuff like this.

After that, it should be a good day. Guitar player coming again, kids are all coming for dinner. Reminds me, i need to stop at the grocery store on the way back from the airport.

No vaccination appointment yet, but I’m still hopeful.

61 going to 70, and maybe showers, which would be nice, to knock down pollen. Went outside with the spotlight last night and pointed it up...incredible amount of little specks floating on the wind. Daffodils have been blooming for a week, and now many of the trees are.

Prayers said for your surgery today, Buppies.

Kyle, sounds like you are handling your son's behavior well. The trail wasn't too steep, except at the falls...the hiking app said 5.3 miles, and 1,024 feet of elevation climb.

Was cutting firewood yesterday when I walked over to a spot to cut up some large fallen oak limbs. Almost stepped on a woodcock. After it flew, only about 50 feet, I noticed 4 eggs on the ground in a small nest, so I left quietly and won't be back until after they hopefully hatch and move on. The Carolina wrens have also built a nest right over our front door in a decoration my wife was about to take down...so that stays a while, too.
