I remember the sugar cube polio cure, I have no clue what I was vaccinated against when I went into the RCAF.
As for me, when the Moderna or J&J vaccine becomes available to me, then I will go for it, but I want PROOF that I took the vaccine, like a card that says what vaccine it was, who administered it, what date it was administered on, what batch number it was and what dosage I got.

I got a card with all the information for both of my Vaccine shots.

If you look real close you can tells it's the same squirrel. In both picture it was the only squirrel in site.

Things are looking up here, I hope Kyle's water pressure problems are resolved. My mom is on a different water system and she only lost water for an hour. Her repairman came by yesterday with the part he ordered and fixed her main heater. She immediately called the propane company for a delivery but they were out and will not get a delivery to them till Tuesday, so she is on the list, but at 50% of a 250gal tank she should be good for 10 days to two weeks even if it stays cold.

Good to hear things are finally warming up in Texas, Don.

A few years ago I was surprised to find that the 5 gallon picnic bottles of propane could be hooked up to the same fitting as the old 385 gallon tank. That came in very handy when I moved it to a safe distance from the house, and also when they hauled away the old tank and couldn't get the larger replacement for a few weeks. Might be a backup plan for your mom if her tank works the same way.

Randy, gorgeous car. I had a late 70's Grand Prix, burgundy outside, burgundy tufted velour inside, marvelous dash board full of gauges.
Pontiac did gauges well...
And I can't find any pictures of it.
I guess it was 1978 or 79, but I traded in a mint Chevy Nova, 305, dark blue sedan, nice wheels, on my first "nice" car. My new business partner sort of cringed
when he saw this rather flamboyant Pontiac in our parking lot. Three years later it was beautiful green four door Lesabre with green cloth interior.
Drove Buicks almost exclusively thereafter. Nice but not flashy. Lesabre Limited with the nice Buick wheels. Those big barges have sure gone out of style,
but I find them very attractive. Some days you just want to take your living room with you...

Mine had what was called Bordeaux, bucket seat interior. It was one of the first 250 built so it got the chrome exhaust splitters.

Good suggestion when you can change the bottles yourself.
She is paranoid of running out and during the winter calls for a fill-up every three weeks (about $150 to $200) when it gets close to 60%. The propane co. had a long line of people filling their 5 gallon tanks before they ran out. The county's tractors supply and Walmart must have sold out.
Kyle, how are you on propane?

Actually, we got one sugar cube and one prick in the arm with something that shot the vaccine in...looked like a pistol.

Yeah, that "pistol" used about 600 PSI to inject you...pretty common method of inoculation in the military. You just don't want to move your arm since that high pressure can tear you up...
I hate getting jabbed (and the military does "jab" service members a lot!)

26 and bright sun for the first time in a week. Patches black ice.
I’m sitting in the parking lot waiting for Ellen to get her first vaccine. I get my second next Saturday.
It just started snowing from a little cloud passing by. I have to get my eyes examined, some say I should get my head examined as well.

17 right now...mid-20's today. We got another light dusting last night...less then an inch. I'll hit the walks. My neighbor cleared most of the drive while I was at work yesterday. I'll clear what he missed later today.
Other then a haircut this morning, and pick up a case of beer while I'm out, no other chores then that little bit of snow removal

27 outside this AM. Feels like 19 according to my phone. Heading ro lower 30s. Sun is up. Should get some decent melt on the man made surfaces today.

Will work on fence lines in a bit and go look at some downed trees in the back forty. Ground being solid frozen I should be able to get equipment back there.

Also need to do those privets... bush hog idea was sunk by wife. Lools like loper and chain saw. Hope the chipper starts up. It will be a huge pile. Or maybe burn it. Less work.

Hope all warm up and can manage the day well. Be safe and stay healthy my friends.

Here is a pix of the foster dog watching the Mars Rover landing with me. She is putting the weight on rather well and is pretty smart. Got the basics down already. 20210218_155104.jpeg

Good morning! 11 now, maybe 24 later. Starting tomorrow, above freezing during the day all next week. YEA!

Got up early and added wood to the wood burner. Feeling good in here!

Made potato soup yesterday. Got positive reviews from the better half last night. She has taken a liking to my cooking.

Kyle, hope you and your family get well soon. As I know, this virus can be brutal

And hope everyone in TX continues to make it thru this weather mess.n

I hate to respond to some of this stuff...but can稚 resist this morning. Fauci has no credibility with me. That man changes position on things more frequently than I change socks. IMO, he is a well paid fraud.

Not sure what type of mischief I am gonna get into today. Need to make a decision on the beer I have fermenting. Doesn稚 seem as though the yeast fired off with this batch. May dump it and start over.

Everyone stay safe out there

I agree 100%
This guy ought to have his medical license pulled...

On medical positioning....is coffee good or bad for you? How about an aspirin a day?

Up to 25° going to 31°. Cool breeze today. But the bright light is on.

Anyone do a forestry plan before? Looks like dad needs one for his farm to keep his ag tax rate, since he got rid of the cows. Will have to mark boundary and clear any grape vines, in addition. My sister says she’s not doing it. I got email into soil and water conservation office. They sell tree mark paint for $7 can.

Rip, county trims branches with bush hog. I’ve found pieces at my barn 300 ft away.

I would just go do it and not ask.

Still way too much politics in the CV19 mess. Our county has 220,000 people in it as of last year, 80% of which are over 18 years of age. That makes 352,000 doses to cover both injections for everyone over 18. Yet only 61,925 doses of vaccine have been allocated. Worse, 36,275 first doses have even been ordered, and only 25,650 second doses. So far, only essential workers and those 65 and older are even eligible for the vaccine. And vaccination centers in major cities in California are being closed down because they don't have anything to inject. Yet I've read claims that the country is rapidly approaching herd immunity! Seems like there's a lot more boasting going on than vaccinating...

Well she reminded me I took out a barn window that sits about the same distance as the bushes do. And that side of the house is the sun room....so it was a good idea....but not gonna happen. LOL.

Our county used to have a children’s home that probably closed before 1960. It became the county health office. Big scary place to a kid. I got my pre school shots there.

Good Morning. It was 25° here earlier, now already 28°. No chill factor with a 1 mph NW wind. Our forecast says 61° this afternoon. We have a heavy frost this morning.

Yesterday was our first day above freezing since Friday 2/12. Once it warms up this morning there's no sub-32° in our 10 day forecast. All good!

I'm going to turn water back on to the shop, horse barn, etc.this afternoon.

We filled our guest bathroom tub with water here and same at Richmond house, for last resort toilet flushing but .. luckily wasn't needed at either location. Guess we can drain them as well.

Last on my list is getting the rear tires on the LS tractor thawed. I spent $$$ on our first LS XR4046HC filling rears with windshield washer fluid, in 2014. From 2014 to 2017 we probably had less than 10 nights below freezing. When we bought the XR4155HC in 2017, I just filled with water. Duh!

IMG_0817.GIF

It's now sitting in the sun and the tires are actually warm to the touch where the sun is hitting so .. shouldn't take long. Will I drain and refill with washer fluid. Not likely. I'll just roll the dice .. after all .. GlobalWarming?

Hope everyone continues to thaw out.

Prayers to all.
