Good Morning All.

It was 35 at 5:00 this morning, as I send this it's 47 which is above the forecast high of 46! Ate lunch out on the south facing deck enjoying the sunshine. Took a trashcan full of wood ashes to a friend this morning. He uses them for traction and anti-slip material on the paths surrounding the many outbuildings on his place. We seem to have a never ending supply of them here and its only right since about 50% of my firewood comes from his woods.

The warm sunshine is settling the snow ... I guess to get ready for a potential addition this weekend?

bet that sun in your face felt good Frank. I was just outside for a few minutes and about the same temp here, almost balmy
compared to what we've had. But that won't last.

Had to try a new Ginger Peach muffin recipe. It called for spelt flour and it took me a while to find it. Finally found it at the Natural grocery store in the refrigerated section.

winter storm alert just posted for tomorrow night, five inches or so of snow.
We had a pretty good melt this afternoon in the warm sun.

31F cloudy...so much for dusting to 1" got 3"

Busy day sort of speaking...got food shopping done with no mistakes :dance1: house dusted vacuum but my way both kittens got there nails clip :confused2: plow driveway etc. with Kubota,fill deer feeder 80lbs of goodies,rest of the day keep recliner warm with feet up.

Thanks Thomas, I thank God everyday I wake up here and I'm not in the obituaries! Couple of my friends that stopped by the other day!

3 counties to the West is Mason County. They lost their beautiful courthouse last night in a fire.

At the exact same time a house a mile away burned. Sound like the Arson Investigators have an investigation to pursue.

My son had the same with one of his eyes last Friday. Looks bad. But all is OK from eye Dr.

The HDD has no data on it. Need to figure out how to send all my pictures to it. It is fast. Compared to what will be my standby computer. Which is i3 at about 8k with same memory and no SSD.

Friend on blood thinner used to get red eyes. So far I haven’t.

Can put new computer on same network, then set up share drive, then simply drag and drop from old to new.

I like it. Since they adjusted the rainfall to read the hundredth thousands it seems to be more accurate. For example today my cocorahs rain gage (attached to the same pole) said it rained .08" and the Tempest said 0.107214". It still has not rained a good few inches to get a good comparison since their adjustment mid January. On January 6th cocorahs said .13" Tempest said .10". On Dec 30-31th cocorahs said 2.21 and Tempest said 2.29". On December 29th cocorahs said .07 Tempest said .01 during the 14 minute rain.

I do like the thunder and rain notifications. The humidity and Temp are very accurate. The 10 day forecast is very accurate along with the wind direction and speed real time and predictions.
Probably the best weather station I ever owned.

You do need a UPS because if the power goes off during a storm you will stop gathering data.

If they ever come out with a stand alone display I would add it. Now I have to get the weather reports on my phone, pad, or laptop.

I really like the ambient weather station I got from recommendations here.

Brothers CT scan went well. Small leak in the intestines where surgery was that needs to heal. He will be in hospital for awhile. My sister is down with him again. His son is supposed to come down from MI this weekend.

Long day at work, but figured out an answer to an issue before leaving, so that is a relief.

Wife did Costco run, but they didn’t have the almond butter biscuits I like, so I stopped at another Costco on my way home and got 3 boxes of them.

Calling for snow now early Sunday morning. Winter storm watch. Weather app only shows an hr of snow right now.

We had a good melt in the driveway today. Still 37°

Got my father (84) and his Girlfriend (80) signed up for vaccine shots.

California was certainly easier than PA (where I am still not scheduled).
The site was too complex for my dad and it took about 45 minutes with him on the phone.

Then started doing by myself, took 10 minutes.
When he called the phone number they give, they told him they could not help and he had to go to the web!
My poor dad was frantic. So glad we got him signed up now, sold him to get there early!
