I知 still tractor looking/shopping.
I received a call from the local Chief of Police saying they had uncovered a conspiracy intended to tractor nap my new tractor.
A certain Eastern Shore tractor-less gentleman, though I must use that term advisedly, since he was heard conspiring to
whisk away my tractor after he got a look at the new tires.
How could I resist? he said as his wife posted bond.
Heard it first here.
Actually I have a little bit more fixing to do before it's ready for prime time, though it was great fun going for a ride today through the fields.
Tires still have too much air in them, going to make them cushy. Seat is way too hard also, set up for prior owner who I'm told was large, very large, so
the suspension seat must be cranked up full hard. My first Oh My when I took off the floor mats. Stupid design, let water get caught underneath and this little tractor lived outdoors.
so I had some rot to clean up. Might weld a reinforcement over the swiss cheese area, then covering it all with a rubber mat. For now I cleaned it up and rustfixed it. it won't live outdoors anymore... Cleaned up the three point area, primed and painted that. Whole thing cleaned up nicely, though the exterior remains an extended blue tape project. At least it's functional now.
In between waiting for the wheel paint to dry, I cut 2x6's for the carryall and found I was one short. Sigh.
And in between that I moved a lawn sprinkler every half hour watering new grass seed. So a lot of up and down today and I'm worn out.
Oh, and I finished painting the Gravely wing mower frame. The list got done. Now time to find a movie and chill.
Good pic of my drunken farmer neighbor tending his vegetable garden, thankfully running a weeder. I honestly don't know the model JD,
not enough visual clues left...
