I found this road in 1973 and try not to take others since. I found it when I came to the fork in the road in my younger days and took it! (Yogi Berra)
50 miles to the nearest city in either direction from here. I see more animals than humans (have wife) on a daily basis and would have it no other way.
Vaccine PFFFFTTT. Big clinic the other day 50 miles away with 900 doses given. Ran out and turned away many who waited in line 5 hours. Heard later they gave county jail inmates the vaccine to all who wanted it. We are in the eligible age group (old) and are on half a dozen waiting lists. Think kicking the sheriff in the balls would get me a vaccine?

It’d get you room and board.

It’s 40° and winds gusting to 25-30. Snow has finally stopped I think. Most of it has melted even though it was still falling, due to temps.

UPS guy decided not to try my driveway and left my sink aerator hanging from a tree (in a big plastic bag) down by the garbage cans. Pretty funny.

Sink now fixed. will clean up more driveway edges from snow since now they say we may get walloped again in a few days.

UPS guy decided not to try my driveway and left my sink aerator hanging from a tree (in a big plastic bag) down by the garbage cans. Pretty funny.

This is what I found at the end of my lane when I got back from an errand.


Keep in mind that the lane is paved and was well cleared with plenty of room to turn around at the far end, although that isn’t visible from the road. This was FedEx’s work.

That is just plain lazy worthlessness.
I could understand it if a driveway is marginal to travel.
I actually leave a large plastic tote in the parking area at the foot of my driveway,
I have told all deliveries to not attempt the driveway when it is snow covered.
Should get a big sign "chains required" if snow covered or icy.

Propane supplier came by 9:00 this morning 399.9 gallons on 500 gallon tank house really cold 42 now at 64 slow but sure

$2.499 per gallon but had 475 credit so not so bad

Gate still broken worm gear warped parts on order

Garage door still broken, ADT alarm still broken calls due up soon

Fireplace is propane no joy there

it's now 5:11pm, when recently the day has been pretty dark.
now it's light grey out and relatively bright, thanks to the reflection off the snow.
I think our days are getting a little longer.

one more trip outside for mail and birdseed and that will wrap up the day

27F cloudy light wind.

Good day for outside projects...snow clean from all roofs,paths clean,3+ hours push back driveway snowbanks and parking area plus small barn,Mrs. made smart @ss comment "you expecting plane to land"

Not much plan for this evening...recliner dinner recliner slice carrot cake while watching movie bed before 10.

To be clear, that is my lane, and the box was probably close to 50’ from the road, but about 1200 feet from the house.

Unfortunately Beaufort County hospital is full of COVID patients and so is Rex in Raleigh. Beaufort co is slow in getting vaccine out. Bertie county is vaccinating anybody any age from any state. My nephew went Monday waited 2 hours but got the maderna shot the cars ahead of them were from New Jersey
