Good morning all, 39 this morning going to 75 and sunny. Got a little done on the pantry yesterday, have to make a costco run today. Mom is feeling better, though she has not said so. I thing she is enjoying the attention. That is fine, We like to make her feel special. Might take her to Costco with me, she made friends with one of the sample ladies and would like to see her again. They sent cards back and forth and have missed each other.

Cajun, enjoyed the pic. Looks like a mighty sweet place to see the sunsets. Bet it was nasty when Harvey went through though.

Eric, I have thought about the .204 ruger as well, never (needed) one enough to spend the $$$$$.

Randy, glad you are finely to the point that you can get you building. Hope you get in before winter.

Have a great day. Ed

Isn't that nice, never too old to make new friends. Glad she is doing well Ed.

I agree good news about Toppop's new man cave. Will look forward to seeing the new building.

Cajun's sunset is magical. I can see a big heron swooping low over the water on its way
to somewhere, all the while keeping an eye on his dinner plate below. And every night at 5pm the crawfish just crawl up into the pot.
The downside of living out in the middle of nowhere is having to drive to somewhere.
I bet that view is even prettier on a starry night.

Eric I have a 204 Browning A bolt gold medallion new old stock but afraid it's worth more unfired as they are no longer made by Browning

Drinking first cup of coffee. 47° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 68° with mostly sunny skies. Got started on the pond cover. Gaskets arrived for chipper exhaust. Installed them. Much quieter. Still need to put tools away. Then back at pond net again today.
Don, I have been getting testosterone shops for over a year. Solved some other medical problems also.
Bird, maybe I need to set the thermostat higher for heat. It's set at 71° night and 74° daytime. Cooling is set at 78°
Randy, that's not a small building. Many 2 car garages are smaller. We need pictures.
Check, great picture.
Good Morning All.

X-Bolt Stalker Long Range

when you really need 1000 yards...
That Browning is quite a gun, good enough to make what seems like a sniper rifle out of it.
I'd like to shoot some targets with that, if I could get back far enough.
Of course I'm assuming you usually have a big scope on these deer/large animal guns.

That would take out the zombies at far range for sure.
I find rifles fascinating, shotguns very cool, and handguns scary.
Makes me a bit of an odd pacifist but it's good not to live up to stereotypes.

Sadly after Las Vegas, the seriousness of a rifle's capability is truly driven home.
Nothing to fool with or for sure to aim at the wrong thing.
A whole lot of lethality wrapped up in a fine piece of machinery.
It's the lethality in the brain of the gun owner/operator we have to worry about.
I love to target shoot. Maybe some day I'll need to save the day.
All situations are different and we need to survive. And I'm protective enough to consider
wounding someone who is killing others. Even picking up a gun to do it is a big stretch
for me. But to be safe, you can't be naive.
back to regular programming.

I can certainly see the appeal of collecting guns. I buy implements and tractors instead.
But I'm glad my neighbor is locked and loaded.
As is Eric and others. The Huns can still come over the hill.
