Here's hoping that you did ...
You're quite welcome.
Did you click through to the Twitter thread and read it for yourself ?
Flattening the curve solves
a problem (healthcare system overwhelmed) ... however it does not solve
the problem (the virus and the sickness it causes)
Since initially, there was no realistic chance of solving
the problem immediately (due to no available vaccine) we were left with what could be done to mitigate it and prevent the healthcare system from totally collapsing ("flatten the curve")
I'm guessing that we've dodged that bullet ...
just barely ... at least for now.
The right virus mutation could alter that situation however.
Yeah, well ... that collection of whack-a-doodles would not be on my go-to list of sources for hot takes on pandemic public health.

Not all opinions have equal validity.
It won't take that long ... it's already happening.
The biggest question is whether we will listen and hear what is being said.
BTW - on your thoughts regarding mandating of vaccines:
I'd be perfectly fine with no mandate on it ... provided that any person who doesn't want to take the vaccine voluntarily self-isolates, no exceptions ...
until the entire population of the US has been given the opportunity to receive however many doses of the vaccine is required to be effective, followed by whatever period of time is required for it to become effective.
That means they stay home, out of public circulation.
Get caught violating your self-quarantine, and you get the needle in the arm. No exceptions.
As far as businesses mandating the vaccine goes, businesses have a responsibility to their customers not to infect them with what could be a deadly disease. Smart businesses will see that doing so is a good business move.
If you're an employee and work at place that requires that you do so and just don't want to take the vaccine (with no valid medical reason), then find somewhere else to work that aligns better with your philosophical outlook on life.
