69F and "Fair" @ 11:30, heading up to around 75F. Looking to be another late Summer beautiful day.
Nearby LWS reports low this morning was 44F.
Got the front lawn all mowed yesterday.
After that I watered the west Redbud tree and day lilies around it, around 10 gallons IIRC.
Then took the Buffalo up and put 6 gallons into the hole I tried to drill up by the shed where the ground was so hard.
Then gave 2 of the small oak trees along the road 4 gallons each.
With that the Buffalo was empty so I brought it back down to the house and hooked it up to refill on slow flow.
Woman came out while that was happening with a “tech support” phone question. Was able to resolve that for Her, Buffalo was full, and dinner was ready so I headed inside to chow down.
Woman made a meatloaf, baked potatoes, and sautéed green beans from the garden.
After dinner I headed back outside and started watering the east and northeast planting beds ... which have been badly neglected this summer.
Left soaker running on low flow on the pole beans and west side of arched trellis while I did that.
Four rhododendrons watered and fed. The 2 large ones got 6 gallons each and the 2 smaller ones 4 gallons each.
Lilac bush got 4 gallons.
Some hosta and other plants watered, plus all the day lilies.
And with that the Buffalo was empty again. Took it over by the garden and dropped it off and then went and collected the dump cart and parked the Cub over there as well.
Then came on inside.
Agenda for today (in no particular order):
Refill the Water Buffalo.
Water all the arbs.
Use whatever is left to water the rest of the oaks up along the road.
See if I can't get that planting hole up by the shop re-drilled, now that it's been wetted down.
Start hauling down wood chips to mulch the east side garden expansion where I sprayed the other day.
Beyond that just see what else comes up.
Hope everyone is having a decent Sunday ...
