I was browsing Amazon to see if I could replenish masks for the shop. Looks they have some. Even the N95s with the exhaust valve that I like and maybe the cartriges for the 3M reusables I have.

My sister took dad in for vaccine, had to line up at 1100, they got there within a few minutes, was 30 cars back, and they ran out before he could get a shot. Terrible way to distribute shots.

Meanwhile, a coworker of mine tested positive today, I got sent home an hr early as he works in same area as me. Got called by HR on way home, after they talked to him, they decided I don’t need to quarantine.

Now I’m wearing a mask at home.

Hope I don’t get it.

Patricia got a call, and confirming email this afternoon, to get her first Covid vaccine just after noon tomorrow at the Texas Medical Center.

I'm going to head up in the morning and take her to her appointment .. so she doesn't have to navigate the TMC and find a place to park.

BIL, a teacher, has been sick two weeks with covid symptoms, but test are negative.

Buckeye hope you were not exposed.

They were still giving out vaccinations all day at our hub. FamilyHospitalSystems had 3 hubs in the county and gave out 6000 doses in three days. At our hub the police were standing by outside and you could only get in by appointment.

Rick is that at the Methodist Hospital in TMC, I saw they got a large shipment delivered.

Hays County, 2 counties away, received 2,000 doses today and open up the portal to sign up at 1:30 p.m., within 15 minutes all appointment slots were full.

In about 3 weeks half of the doses will go for the booster and the availability will be cut in half. I did read that in extreme cases CDC allows either vaccine to be used and given within 28 days to 6 weeks of the original vaccine.

Was thinking they were following the airline plan. Research flights, possibly viewing a couple times, go back 10 minutes later and prices have increased.

If you go back to look at flight prices again, be sure to delete your cookies. That's how they know you've been looking before, and jack up the prices.
At least it has worked for me the few times I flew on an airline.

I have always loved hot, spicy food. When I got out of the hospital, one thing I was told to avoid was hot, spicy food.

But, I had no taste, other than some very specific flavors and no smell. Eating was frustrating. There were some things (like chicken and Turkey) I couldn稚 eat. Without taste, both became difficult to chew and swallow.

Out of frustration over lack of taste, I began to sparingly use one of my favorite hot sauces on some foods. At first, didn稚 even get any heat. But then one day, I put some hot sauce on potato痴 and got heat, next day, I started to get back some taste for complex flavors.

Interesting.

Been hitting the hot sauce along with hot, spicy foods since. Stomach handles it fine, my taste keeps improving. Smell is slowly coming back too.

Good deal ...

Would have to agree.

OTOH, it's good to see the demand is out there.

Meanwhile, a coworker of mine tested positive today, I got sent home an hr early as he works in same area as me. Got called by HR on way home, after they talked to him, they decided I don’t need to quarantine.

Yeah ... that sounds just a little dubious.

Now I’m wearing a mask at home.

Relatives' kid who lives at home came down with it.

Parents managed to avoid it while living in the same house by being very careful.

Hope I don’t get it.

Hope you don't either.

Morning all!
I'm up way to early today! Arthritis pains from working.
Looks like we are in the high teens this morning. Going to be a cold week with low teens at night and just hovering around the freezing mark during the day.
Speaking of chains. I removed the concrete busting cross chains on mine and added some regular 5/16 links I picked up at Tractor supply. It is slow going with a hammer and chisel and some pry bars but I am getting it done.

I got one set almost done before my hands and back gave out. I want to add links connecting the rows.
After a little rest I made my wife a chain also:

Will take the weekend off and go back to the tractor Monday.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
