If it's a 427 c.i. / 435 HP Tri-Power .. you'll get there fast. If it the 390 HP version, with a single 4 barrel, a bit longer.![]()
I was hoping for a ride in it but he told me earlier today the deal fell through. He has a mid five figure toy budget, not a six figure so I'm surprised he even mentioned that
model. Funny he had a 2017 427 convertible at one point, and a Z06 with 650hp. The latter was the one that he enjoyed least. The more recent models are a lot more affordable than
the older ones. I remember banging second hard with a loud tire chirp going up the streets of Providence RI during college in 1970, driving a friend's white 427 convertible. What a bellow that thing made.
a 350hp small block was usually more fun to drive, you could wind it out more, big block almost too powerful for the street. I see them as more musical instruments now...you play
the pedal and make your music.
