If it's a 427 c.i. / 435 HP Tri-Power .. you'll get there fast. If it the 390 HP version, with a single 4 barrel, a bit longer.

I was hoping for a ride in it but he told me earlier today the deal fell through. He has a mid five figure toy budget, not a six figure so I'm surprised he even mentioned that
model. Funny he had a 2017 427 convertible at one point, and a Z06 with 650hp. The latter was the one that he enjoyed least. The more recent models are a lot more affordable than
the older ones. I remember banging second hard with a loud tire chirp going up the streets of Providence RI during college in 1970, driving a friend's white 427 convertible. What a bellow that thing made.
a 350hp small block was usually more fun to drive, you could wind it out more, big block almost too powerful for the street. I see them as more musical instruments now...you play
the pedal and make your music.

Good morning. It was 33° this morning, already up to 44° .. heading to 62° this afternoon.

The process to get my first COVID vaccination yesterday was fast, easy, and pleasant. I pulled into facility with my truck, was greeted "enthusiastically", asked to identify myself, and assigned one of 12 parking spaces. Another nurse brought me a set of about a dozen screening question to check off. Then a third nurse came with my vaccine. She was at best just over 5' tall .. so I asked if I could open my door to make it easier for her. The top of her head was about even with the bottom of the drivers side window. She then gave me the pain free injection and asked that I sit in place for 15 minutes to assure I had no problems. She gave me a card confirming I'd received my first vaccination and scheduling 2nd for February 9th .. time TBD.

All in all it was a very pleasant experience with the nurses all seeming to enjoy what they were doing. They had space and staff to process easily a dozen vaccinations per hour .. all drive- thru. This operation was operated by Texas Dept. of State Health Services (DSHS) and was running efficiently and pleasantly.
The alternative, our Community Hospital, makes pulling teeth seem pleasant. It's virtually impossible to get any information from them and they show little empathy for a nervous public .. looking for relief and answers.

I woke up with very minor soreness, in my left arm, and no other symptoms.

I'm hoping to take advantage of the warmer weather, today and tomorrow, to get some pressure washing done. Forecast indicates low 70's tomorrow. Our pastures are still too wet for tractors.

I learned something about our new Polaris Ranger this week .. if the driver's seat belt is not buckled .. speed is limited to 15 mph. Oops!

Hope everyone has a safe and productive day.

Prayers to all.

Drew, I have two friends with ‘65 Vettes, one is a convertible 327/365 hp, the other is a coupe with 396/425 hp. The small block is a better cruiser, but the big block is brutal.

23 cold clear degrees this morning, headed to 51 later.

Still working through the fog that is the vaccine debacle.

Kyle, prayers for your sister.

When I was a kid a friend of mine was bitten by a black widow in the toilet, I’d warned him about meeting her there!

And if it’s an L-88 you’ll get there before you leave.

Don’t forget the 425 h.p. four barrel.

The 390 HP had a 4 barrel. The L89 425 HP and 435 HP versions both were both Tri-power, as I recall, with major difference being hydraulic lifters on the 425 and mechanical lifters .. on the 435.

The L88s were impressive "fire breathing monsters" but .. broke easy .. think 24 Hours @ Le Mans in 67? I think there were only about 2 dozen production models built in 67. They stripped all the creature comforts from them.

24°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 54° today. 50-ish again tomorrow, then 30s and some snow on Friday.

I've been taking a multi-vitamin supplement for many years, Eric. I take one before going to bed. A couple years ago, The Wife brought home a bottle of Centrum Silver for me. I asked her what was up with the "old man vitamins." She looked at me and asked me how old I was. OK, fair enough. I have not been taking any additional D supplement, but I do take C chewables when I start feeling a sniffle or cough.
As for cod liver oil, my Mother used to give us cod liver oil pills as kids. I found them quite tasty when chewed.

Kyle, our chickens have started laying again, albeit not at any alarming rate. We're averaging about 2-3 eggs per day right now from our 11 hens. We'll be getting new chicks this year, as most of our hens (the Orpingtons and Wyandottes) are in their third year of laying.

RNG, my Wife recently reorganized her sewing room and decided to get rid of a bunch of old fabric. She took pictures, put it all in a large plastic tote, and posted it for free on FB Marketplace. It was spoken for in about 10 minutes. The lady picked it up Monday evening, then came back sometime yesterday and left a nice card on the door thanking her for all the wonderful fabric. Like you, I only seem to get the flakes. I should just have her post my stuff from now on.

My Polaris is that way, but I have no need to go faster. Almost never have in high.

Glad shot went well.

Apple sure is advertising a new software update for the phone. Wonder what new code they got in this update.

I'm thinking that doe was wishing for a longer neck, Ron. Have you seen any standing on their hind legs yet? Good news on the furnace!
All my bird feeders are at a height that deer cannot get their tongue into bird feed even when on their hind feet. I have had them bang on feeder with nose to get feed to drop to ground.

On nice days .. I take the Polaris to VFD drills, Apparatus Checks, etc. Station 10 is 4 miles away.

I now just buckle the belt behind me.
