Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 5:30AM. Cloudy early with peeks of sunshine expected late. High 64F. Winds light and variable.
Small chance of a light shower a week from Friday in the 10-day, otherwise partly cloudy to sunny. Got a drizzle for a while yesterday, no more than a few hundredths, barely enough to knock the dust down on the driveway.
My first encounter, and hopefully my last, Eric, with Izal, was at the Liverpool terminal while waiting for the ferry to take us to the Isle of Man TT races. It's wax paper like texture made sure that they sold lots of it because it sure didn't work as needed. Maybe it went down the sewer pipes more easily, though?:confused3: I'm taking 3000 IU D3 now, and will be upping that to 5000 IU when the current supply of pills runs out. Per the MedCram videos, it's thought it offers some protection and recuperative powers over CV19.
I'm thinking that doe was wishing for a longer neck, Ron. Have you seen any standing on their hind legs yet? Good news on the furnace!
Glad the truck problem is taken care of Mike, and you can get back to work on the septic. Is weather getting in the way of digging?
Paul, I have the same frame design on my press as Ricks, but much larger, and I'd still use a couple of plates running across the rails to support that break. Otherwise seems to me the base plate could warp, especially when bending wider/thicker material. As such, your mod offers a much better user experience. FWIW, I was shopping for MIG welding wire yesterday, and took a look at Eastman's offerings, but found it elsewhere for less money and free shipping.
No joy with a better insurance rate yesterday, but have one agent promising another quote today. I also remember hearing something about Lloyds of London providing coverage to some folks in this area, so I'll have to dig into that. I feel better dealing directly with the insurer rather than going through a broker anyway, as the brokers tag on an additional fee for their "services", which up to now haven't been worth the screen real estate taken up on the LCD monitor. Late in the day I got notice that FedEx is delivering a parcel from my current insurance company on Friday, so now I'm curious about what that might be. I filed a complaint against them with the state insurance commissioner, and think it's probably their response, and unlikely any offer to extend coverage.
FedEx brought the glass screen protector for the new phone yesterday, and it came with a clever installation fixture that provided fairly precise centering without any fiddling. Seems to fit and work fine, except for one persistent air bubble over the rear facing camera lens that doesn't seem to effect functionality. I'm still trying to get used to missing the Home button and fingerprint reader, though. Facial recognition works well enough in good light, and there's an option to train it with a second face that'll I'll use when wearing a mask. Otherwise, it's back to the numeric keypad to enter a 6-digit code, which is much less convenient.
Got the moving boxes loaded in the truck yesterday before the drizzle started, and now the person that wanted them isn't returning emailed requests for time and delivery location. Another Craig's list flake. Two others responded to the ad, so I'll have to give them a try. If that falls through, the boxes are going to the dump.
Headed to town for groceries this morning, and will start paperwork on the shotgun while I'm there. Also have the yearly physical scheduled, but the doctor is in Scotland and is planning on using telemedicine to do it. Seems like that leaves out some of the usual tests, one of which I won't miss at all. Cough, cough.
Happy Hump Day everyone!
