Appreciate the well stated view points stated above. Makes one wonder why more aren’t like us - civil, respectful, intelligent, hardworking, handsome...

You said it well David. I especially appreciate the way that Wing said it this morning ! We really need a Like button on this site!

I can't imagine trying to enjoy a meal outside this time of year,

I was well layered and my front was nice and warm. Back was not.
And it was only pizza. At least there was no wind, that would have been unbearable.
I don't do the cold well anymore. All I could think of on the way home today was how much
I missed my hot tub and how it would be utter heaven to crawl in one at 102 and just feel all the
pain go away. For a little while.
I've never been in a hot tub while it's snowing, but I think I'd like to try.

When I get to 102 I will let you know.

Wngsprd said it great this AM.

But you can see it bubbling up just below the surface even since his posting.

There is another web site to discuss politics. Easy to use. Some need to use it.

We used to like splitting ash in the winter time. We would aim the front of the wood splitter up. The splitter would grunt, grown and then a loud pop. And the chunks would launch into the back of the dump truck with very little effort from us

Elm is fun to split in summer but wait til the temps get down to 40 below for two or three nights, then split it.

Got to 39 today, but it felt colder, I wouldn’t sit outdoors today for pizza, no matter how good. Drew, you’re tougher than I.

I called in two prescriptions this morning, lady even called back and confirmed the price under my new plan, however when I called to check if they were ready, no record of my call. One had to get doctor to ok as the refills were out. I called the doctor and they emailed him, still nothing. Finally they got the one refilled and gave me enough of the other to get through the weekend.
Can’t see the triple conjunction it’s too cloudy.
After a hard day of drug dealing, it’s the showers and recliner tonight.

Drew - Have you tried Vincents pizza in Yardley, my wives favorite? Also the one near bagel train in Yardley (good bagels their, best I've had locally and I am from NY).

No time to wire the new light today, spent 7 hours on Teams calls prepping for Mondays Cut-over after getting three sites up and running fine this morning.

Beer time!

Release rather than reserve is a logical step since we are not injecting at the levels we need.

I will agree until I get the first vaccination. But then the questions about it's effectiveness without the second shot or delayed second shot will come up. Where is the science? - too new to know. With a delay we will be going against manufactures directions at that point.

Apple is possibly going to remove Parlor app from their phones. My wifey says this is a no deal, deal.

There are a lot of other really good phones out there and they are probably a little cheaper too.

It's OK. got mine on the 1st.

"The people most likely to be impacted are those who used refund anticipation loans or similar products. In those instances, their stimulus payments may have been directed to the temporary bank account established by the online tax preparation firm they used when their 2019 tax return was filed.
It may also have affected some people who changed banks in the past year, and the IRS does not yet have their new checking account on record."

I’ll be looking if they do pull the app, they’ve censored enough as it is. We shouldn’t be treated as unlearned children by those we’ve made billionaires.

Sounds delicious, Don!

When I saw the photo thumbnails, I was hoping one of them would be of the recipe. Hint, hint...:D

1 cup whole wheat flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp onion powder, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 2 Tbsp tahini. 425˚ 13 minutes.
Her is a pic of mine. I used a lot of Kale because it's in season in the garden. I also use onion, peppers, chickpea hummus, olives, nutritional yeast, pineapple and tomatoes. Also to make it more Texas - jalapeños. My wife made a round one I made this square one. It actually taste better than it looks.

Good evening all. 40F for the start, light breeze, overcast. Moderate wind, overcast broke up about noon, and high temp was 47F. Bike ride this morning, then trip to town, wife got perm and I shopped, Rib Crib for lunch, and post office then home to nap. Stoked fire in insert. Weather people can't decide how much if any snow on Sunday, or just rain or nothing like last time. :confused2:

Buppies hope some of your quotes lead to jobs
RNG I do hope you get a soaking rain soon. we have a screen on the golf cart door, and birds get in if we don't zip it shut. Have to open main garage door and chase bird out. Don't usually get them back in anytime soon

Bill enjoy conserving energy
Drew muffins and cookies look good :licking: as do the bird houses
PJ ought to get some studio time.
Don did Christie work herself out of a job?
Drew sorry about the bad delivery. Wish I could get a vaccine for you and the wife.

I usually make my own but I still had some packets left over from the Pizza crusts I bought online. One packet covers two pizzas. Still have a few in the freezer.
Pizza Kit – Plant Strong by Engine 2

Soon you will have put more miles on that bike than I did.

good morning all. Rick, are you sure that's the link you want here?

25 going up to 40 today

taking those muffins to several homes this morning, just hand outside and leave, we are all on the same page
when it comes to separation.

can you stay 6 ft apart and get warm from fire?
3 foot round metal firepit and we sat on opposite sides, I'm guessing 10 feet away.
It was fun for a little while.

Toppop, well said.

hope you all have a nice weekend.
And as Buppies says regularly, prayers for our Country.

16 right now...high in the upper 20's.
Chores: Dump run and pick up a prescription (blood pressure meds) if it's ready. I also have a Chapin salt spreader in the garage that I had given to my work place (I had replaced our home spreader with a bigger unit made of SS). Unfortunately, the one I had given to my workplace was never washed down (to remove and salt residue) after last winter. I've sprayed PB Blaster on all the metal components and hope that frees the wheels and gearbox enough to be able to use it. Hope it's not a lost cause...
After that, I had purchased a blu ray of all the old (1930'-1940's) B&W Frankenstein movies, and that's how I'll spend the rest of today and this evening.

Good morning all. Another morning so cold that only a ********* would see any point in kicking the weather bucket.

It seems how we view events is really a function of the sources of media we read and watch, as well as what we choose to believe

Wng, so very true. The way that tv news producers and presenters choose to report events is a major influencer.
Our BBC news seems generally pretty good, however their generally unbiased approach has been bypassed by many of their other program celebrities who have been using twitter and facebook to push their own once sided views that many of their "followers" then believe to be the truth. For example, a well known wildlife presenter keeps denigrating farmers with short messages that are not independently checked or challenged for accuracy and truthfulness, such as him accusing a neighbouring farmer of ripping out hedges when they have actually been coppiced to regenerate growth.
A well known football presenter with a massive following does similar things. The BBC have a long standing charter that requires all to be impartial, however bad management has previously tolerated this behaviour as "free speech", with no regard to how it is being used to manipulate others. This year they got a new man at the top who is having a push to bring all tv and radio presenters back into line. Those celebrities using social media to influence others are now in no doubt that if they continue as they did before, they are likely to be looking for a job outside the BBC.

Christy is my Aligator capturing niece, recently changed careers to a realtor.
Don, sure hope that alligator odour dissipates before Christy gives a ride to a potential buyer :)

Low 17°F and high 23. Wind N 7 mph. Increasing cloudiness.

I sure wish these people would get ALL their groceries on one trip. Was in town Wednesday, Thursday and going again today. The same person all three trips.
My reason for not going to town every day of the week isn't covid related. In winter the powers that be dump tons of salt on the roads and I kind of want the Dodge to last until it is paid for. On a quiet night you can hear Dodges rust.

Is Mr. Trump going to get 'done' for inciting a riot? Not likely. I think he will buy his way out of it.

On to less depressing talk, after the town run it will be energy conservation time.

Have a safe day all

First cup of coffee is cooling. 18° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 36° with partly cloudy skies. Got grocery shopping done. Then stopped and got car washed. It had 3 weeks of gravel road muck on it. Started putting things away in shop and barn. Did not get far. But it's a start. Will spend some time in shop continuing with putting things away.
Michigan Covid cases 559,655. Deaths 13,913. Oakland County cases 64,666. Deaths 1,717. Over 9 million test have been preformed. Starting Monday anyone over 65 is eligible for for vaccine in Michigan. I am signed up on my health portal.

Don, pizza looks good.

Drew, I have not gotten my stimulus money yet. But because I had to mail my return in. I did not get my refund until August. It was direct deposited into my checking account.

Riptides, 4 year old truck worn out? :confused2:

Mostly, is picture before you put GPS on bike. My New Years resolution is to ride my bike this year. No miles on it in 2020.

David, I fit all the categories. Especially the last one. ;) I have an appointment for eye examination next week.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.
