Up at the crack of 10.
Freezing rain is today’s forecast.
Going to close my quicken books on 2020.
Did get several more DVDs converted last night. Got my first vhs camera in 1985. Wasn’t a cam corder, was a camera you hook up to a portable vhs deck. Still have it. Had camcorder by 1988, When we went to Alaska. Working on converting those now.
Had to reboot computer 1 more time yesterday, new computer comes Monday. Son’s screen acting up on his computer, new one might be his, should order another while on sale. Dell 15” I7 w/ 1 TB ssd and gaming graphic card.

My stimulus showed pending in my account last night. Even trade for the computer.

Mine was in my account this morning.

This morning, I got a hysterical call from my DIL next door... she put their dog out as usual and he suddenly just keeled over...
By the time she got to him, he already passed...
That dog was very special to her, helping her get through some very tough times in her life over the last ten years. She is devastated.... a sad start to the new year.

Xmas decorations put away, tree out by garage and waiting to get rained on, and
outside lights put away.

Boy, you guys are fast!! Normally mid-January to early February before we take our decorations down! Guess we don't want the magic of the holidays (Christmas, especially) to end so quickly...

Although I love the smells of a live tree, we use artificial trees.
I'd rather a real tree outside and living, then a temporary, but lovely, tree in the house

Sorry for the loss of the dog! Very sad.
My outside Christmas lights are led and came on plastic rolls. Very easy to put up and take down. I had my outside ones down on the 26th. Removed all the rest Monday.

Wasn't there a study done on live vs. artificial a few years ago.
I think it was a wash for environmental impact, as long as the artificial tree could be recycled.

A fun exercise RNG. I should ask our advisor for an update of his projection this year. I too am surprised it was such a good year.

We don’t have great retirement incomes but 4 smallish ones we can’t outlive as they are death terminated which enables us to leave our invested pot for special needs. Part of my budget exercise is I always do a section that is predicated on my demise. Of course without me, expenses would drop significantly in reality.

I’m adding a page this year with live links, user/passwords, and which items get paid from which income. So I attempted to explain to Sophie. Her standard reply, thanks but I’m going first. She’s been saying that since the beginning, maybe I ought to listen.

Mixed blessing how our past has a hold on our actions.

Mmmmm, nice.
Did mind about 260° just sitting in pan on the Primo. Maybe should have taken off a few degrees earlier, but wife likes it more done so took it off at 130° on the smaller end.
