47F and cloudy @ 21:00, headed down to an overnight low of 43F.
Sounds like everyone had a pretty good Thanksgiving ...
I actually started this post about ten hours ago ... but got waylaid by the festivities and the preparations. This morning I had started to write:
Was up until the wee hours last night, looking at various tiles and coming up with a plan and a rough idea on a design. Also looking at and researching shower valve and head combos.
The overall look is going to be retro, possibly infused with modern on the fixtures.
I just had a brief conversation with The Woman (that was around 11:00 this morning) and gave a little report on my findings ... but she is (was) laser-focused on pie making and needs to concentrate. And I certainly don't want to distract her from that ...
Thanksgiving-fully, by the time I went to bed the sharp pain had largely subsided ... and I felt pretty good this morning when I got up. I guess continuing to move around a bit (but avoiding any real strenuous activity ... outside of unloading the groceries and the Menards/Home Depot orders ...
) has somewhat shifted things back into place, spinally-speaking.
I believe there was a question posed at one point about chiropractors. I have received chiropractic treatments most of my adult life and the quality of the results has varied, according to the specific practitioner, and the methodology/school of treatment they subscribe to. Typically, my best results were where they just focused on manipulating my spine (or even ribs) ... often quite forcefully ... sometimes coupled with heat therapy.
I have found that usually getting an adjustment once every two to four weeks worked well, although it has been at least a year or more since I've gotten one.
One of the last guys I was seeing (before he retired) basically said that various bending and stretching exercises would probably eliminate 80% of his practice - if followed regularly. In fact, he gave me a little booklet on that, which I have around here some place.

Fast forward to now:
Dinner is over and the kitchen is mostly cleaned up and food put away.
She did the pies, stuffing, and gravy, I did the green bean casserole, and we tag-teamed on the bird:
And Bob Evans did the mashed potatoes ...
All of it was very delicious ... even if someone did get a little carried away with the sage on the stuffing ...
As Drew mentions: still too full for pie ... though I'll bet it might not be too long before someone is in the kitchen with the mixer out, whipping up the cream ...
Certainly many things to be thankful for this season ... not the least of which is a nice lap and a pair of warm hands:
That's Squeak's story at any rate ... and she's sticking to it.
Happy Thanksgiving all.
