Good morning, looks like being a wet one again. I saved a job for a day like this, replacing some ageing fluorescent lights in the workshop with LED fittings. Clearing enough space to erect the scaffold tower should keep me busy for a few hours.
Thanks for all the thoughts on golf cart transmissions. It sounds like with the right tires they could be plenty good enough for me, something like the Yamaha UMX AC is certainly much less expensive than what they ask for a 4wd UTV .
Kyle I get what you are saying about the limited life and cost of batteries. The problems I have had with our B&S V-Twin has put me off small petrol engines, which is probably unfair on other makes.
Maybe my old Subaru will decide to keep going a little longer now it knows it can be easily replaced.
Drew, I am with you in trusting the vaccines we are likely to get.
Not sure if those of you who are worried about a vaccine being 100% effective have been told how they work. If the vast majority of people are vaccinated, then the chance of the virus being passed on from person to person is massively reduced, so it dies away. This is what they call "Herd immunity". This is how smallpox was eradicated and how measles was kept from killing so many people

If someone decides not to get vaccinated, that doesn't just effect them personally, it has a negative impact on others too as there is then a much higher chance of them catching and spreading the virus to others. If enough people refuse to be vaccinated Corvid-19 will undoubtedly continue to wreak havoc.
When I am offered a jab I will certainly take it.
