Good morning!!!!

Good morning to all! Cold.... went down to 9 last night, light snow all night adding up to the 12" at present. The temp is now a balmy 23, still snowing with another 6-12 predicted for today on top.....

Thomas---
I think your snow valve stuck open needs parts or replacing.

RNG, yes, the front door is closed.... but the back patio is open.... that's why all the snow went south!

LFN... I sure hope we don't get those temps.... about 10 years ago, a massive cold front came down from BC giving us -30F temps for a day. Lots of broken pipes... 3/4 of the city shut down. I am glad it only happens very rarely!

Well, I was not sure what I was going to do today.... that question was answered for me.... my son next door has a frozen water supply line to the house....so we will be playing with a heat gun, then insulate some pipe. We didn't have a problem last year, so something has changed. Could be as simple as which way the wind was blowing through a crack....

Heading out to the cold now... everyone have a great day! I'll check in later.....

My car thermometer showed 39 degrees as I was going to and from Walmart. I got new styrofoam covers to put on the outside water faucets and put them on when I got back.

69°F and .12 inches rain. Looks like similar day to yesterday but it would be nice if we got a good rain instead of just annoying wind and wet. Less than 2inches for the month we definitely need it. Big front coming in from west.

Just continue on from yesterday and hope for more results.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

bought a small HP printer/scanner yesterday in order to get copy/scan feature. Guy at Staples said there was a big shortage in HP black ink. ? what next?....
I ordered some on Amazon. Going to set up scanner as my afternoon project, hopefully I can get wifi feature to work, don't have much luck with that. I usually have to get a cord.

Thanks for the heads up. My wife could not find any black HP ink and got an off brand 2 weeks ago. I ordered some from Amazon today. It makes sense of the shortage because of all the students and at home workers.

Also I have found there is no rubbing alcohol again in any of the stores.

Good afternoon, wow, what chilly temperatures many are seeing. Please do your best to keep that cold on your own side of the pond.

I don't know where the time disappeared this morning, I don't seem to have done anything useful other than fire up the range and insure the car. 65 must be a sweat spot age for insurance, it is costing just 」270 as long as I don't drive more than 8,000 miles in the next year. With Covid restrictions and my working days over, I won't get anywhere near that mileage.

Wng, great to hear that coco is happy again.

Rip, I think of a porch as a small cover over an entrance, no more than 3x the width of the door. Only when I saw the pics did I realise yours it a lot more work !

Took this picture a few days ago to get your opinion - do you think it is time to buy a new hose ? My wife walked over the top unaware of the leaks and got quite a shock

I started using the Smart Ink cartridges from Amazon. Cheaper and good quality.

Amazon.com: Smart Ink Compatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for HP 564XL 564 XL High Yield 1 Pack (4BK & 2C/M/Y) for HP 352 3521 3522 3:pA 461 462 4622 551 552 5522 651 6515 6525 652 B29a B21e B21a: Office Products

They cover most of the popular #s too.

The last time I bought HP ink cartridges, a sales lady at Walmart tried to sell me their off brand, but since I wasn't sure, I went elsewhere and bought genuine HP cartridges. I didn't know there was a shortage. At least I have some new ones on hand if or when I need them.

And I've gotten lots of emails from HP telling me that my printer is old enough that there is no service available for, so they want to sell me a new one. This one is still working just fine, or at least it was yesterday. But I know I'll be buying a new one when it does quit.

Good morning!!!!-slight-leak-jpg

I have gone through many, many garden hoses in my life, but a little over 8 years ago, I bought three Gilmour Flexogen hoses at The Home Depot; two 50 footers and one 75 foot. Supposedly a lifetime warranty. They stay on hose reels outdoors in the weather year round. Now they're thick and heavy and will not crimp, but so far not a single leak.
