Glad you got it fixed Buppies. Sounds expensive though.

Drew I doubt I could repack a box of dishes like it came.

Ron, should get a week before having to do the dogs area, a couple of weeks on the main stuff. Something special about sunrise pics 🤙

We no longer have in person voting , all mail starting this year. Should be getting ballots this week, maybe already at PO.

Interesting concept, but why? Do you think the AP will get better reception on the tractor than your iPhone does? It'll be interesting to see...:confused3:

Likely another case of not knowing enough to know what I don’t know.

A good strong, steady cell signal is a rare event. Rarely see more than 1 bar and that’s not everywhere. I swear somethings it’s according to the wind. When I first went with the cellular internet it was TMobile, but although I saw a signal it never would connect. Up on the roof I was pleasantly surprised to get a decent AT&T LTE signal on my iphone so switched to that. I regularly see a -90 ish dBm at my Mofi, and -100+ at my Mobley.

I was happy to get fairly decent coverage with my Picostation as an AP, but lots of dead areas. Seriously considered multiple Picos but that required repeater mode as opposed to doing a station with attached router.

Hoping the mesh APs work.

All of the Unifi stuff is WiFi, not cellular, but you already knew that, right? If your iPhone can't get a cellular signal on your tractor, it would use WiFi if it was available. You can even make phone calls over WiFi with the iPhone if you enable that feature. But the way I see it, in order to work, the mesh AP would still need a decent WiFi signal from somewhere else on the mesh network. And if that WiFi signal is strong enough for the AP, it's probably strong enough for the iPhone. Unless the larger antenna on the AP lets it work on a weaker WiFi signal. Then the AP would boost the WiFi signal enough for your iPhone to connect. You haven't wasted much if it doesn't work, and there's always nanoBeams to extend the network out to specific locations, like Paul was mentioning with his some day rifle range. Your experiment is interesting though, because if it works, the tractor would be a roving AP you could put in a variety of places. "Hey hon, lets take the tractor on the picnic this afternoon so I can listen to the game.":laughing:

That's one thing I wish there was a way of measuring: WiFi signal strength, in dB. There was a hack on the earlier versions of iOS that would let the phones display signal strength in dB, but Apple in their infinite wisdom broke it. Or maybe that was cellular signal strength? I'd like to measure that, too, as it would help in pointing the Yagi antenna on the cell phone signal booster. Maybe there's an app for that? I'll have go digging around some more.

Every week I have to feed my sour dough starter. The half that is discarded is made into something each week. This weeks bake turned out really tasty.
Whole wheat, sourdough, jalapeño, bread sticks.

I use network Cell info - even tries to find the towers on a map-I have it on Android.
How did your O-scope work out?

Ken, thanks for info on UPS, didn't even know it was there, most convenient spot for me.
Rick, congrats on selling the UTV, nice used equipment always sells quickly
David, these dishes were packed beautifully so with the exception of one leftover piece, it all went back together fine. But not using Kohls next time, though they
did give me a discount coupon by coming in good for ten days.

got a good bit done today, but got so exhausted by end of Best Buys had to tell my friend who came with his van that we needed to go home, I was worn out.
Legs were wobbly and I felt like I had climbed a mountain. Sure hope I get my stamina back. Came home and lay down for an hour and felt better.
Picked up a new chair height elongated bowl toilet at Lowes, and then tried to lift box. No way Jose. Asked for help which they gave me. Then headed to Best Buy and the store was a mess.
They were clearly short of help, big signs saying hiring starting at 15 an hour, but I was patient and got an experienced guy to help me. He agreed I could buy the cheaper 4k Samsung 55 and be perfectly happy with it, which at 400 bucks was a lot of tv for the money. Also bought a tv stand, a Polk sound bar with subwoofer, a Sharp mini 5 CD stereo and a wall mount for the tv, and got out for less than the price of the more expensive tv I was considering.

Got back home and my friend wouldn't let me help him with the toilet, he hefted that 100 pound box all by himself, the tv was half that weight, just a bulky box. But everything is inside, and on Saturday my "young" helper will come and build all the furniture including the tv stand and we can hook up the tv. They didn't have the wall mount I wanted, only ones twice as expensive but were willing to order it and have it delivered. They also wanted 200 dollars to mount the tv on the wall and I said no thank you, can do that myself with my helper when mount comes in. I bought a studfinder at Lowes in anticipation of that. Wall mounts ranged from 50 dollars to 350, quite a range, and I wanted the 50 dollar one which had great reviews and could handle a huge tv, much larger than my 55.

Was fun looking at expensive 75 inch 8k Samsung tvs playing demo video, amazing picture, of course there is no programming out there that I know of. My 55 inch tv looked small compared to some of those monsters but it's a small room and I rarely watch tv, so.... No question Oled tvs were sharper and brighter and had wider angle of viewing. None of which had great value to me since 4k is mighty sharp. I also saw a $2k smartphone that folded in half and became a small tablet. There's an early adopter and gotta have it person for all of this stuff.

October sure can be a pretty month here. Today was a prime example. I took a ride down to look at the river (Susquehanna). It's still there. :D There is a very nice recreation trail along the river. The parking lots along the trail and boat ramps were amazingly busy. Why weren't these folks at work? Leaves were falling all along my drive but there is not much color in the trees.
