PJ - sad about your coworker.

How do you think this would work for Squeak?

Don,

It wouldn't really accomplish what I'm seeking to do (prevent cat from going from predator to prey)

Our cats are not outdoor animals, generally speaking ... although I'd be inclined to take them outside occasionally - if it were under controlled circumstances (meaning highly supervised)

I was thinking of it for Gray2 but the neighbors like him and he usually comes when we call. I left the garage door open a crack (accidentally) when we put him in it last night he escaped, we realized it this morning when he set off the motion detector Ring doorbell. This was the first night he was free to roam the neighborhood.
Pet Supplies : PetSafe In-Ground Cat Fence - Waterproof - Tone and Static Correction - Stretch-Section for Safety - for Cats Over 6 lb : Amazon.com

Sounds like it would work fine for how you envision using it ... you could even include the neighbors in the area if they enjoy their occasional "visitor" and are willing ... ;)

I spoke with a couple of young ladies who came by at work this morning to let us know that their brother, one of our forklift drivers, was murdered Saturday night. That's a tough conversation to have, I can tell you. His wife came in later and talked to the owner of the company. When he told her of the life insurance policy, she broke down and cried, saying, "He's still looking after me even after he's gone."

Looked up the story on one of the local news websites, and apparently the shooter turned himself in at the crime scene.

He was a good guy, just living in a bad neighborhood. I'm going to actually miss him.

Sorry for your co-worker PJ.

I wasn't born in Texas .. but, I got here as quick as I could!

This February 15th .. will be 50 years.

Congrats! I never lived above Interstate 10 until I was 27....To me, almost everybody was a Yankee!

Ok guys, I don't know how, but I survived a game of Ultimate Frisbee last night. There were 6 adults, 2 teenagers, and 5 kids. I was sucking eggs after 20 minutes.....we played for an hour and a half, just at sundown. Took some ibuprofen last night, but feel ok today...

78F and clear @ 22:00. Today was a warm one (91F) but tomorrow should be a little cooler (mid 80's)

The Woman got the E-check and registration done (after I remounted the OBD plug) and I made the trip to Menards.

The Menards trip was rather ... frustrating. Took forever (20+ minutes) for the guy with the forklift to show up to load me. The order pick up area was pretty much dead (no activity) at the time.

Was supposed to pick up retaining wall block, had ordered another 178 ... got there and he could only find 29 ... which I took. After going in again and talking to the guys at the business/building materials desk they figured out what the problem was: the supplier had told them they had shipped XXX on the last order but when they received the shipment that particular block color was not on the truck. They found a notation in the system in the inventory/receiving records ...

There was another issue that I discovered at some point after picking up block the last time: I forgotten to get the geogrid fabric (that I had ordered and paid for) that needs to be used when installing retaining walls over a certain height.

This was a result of me not paying enough attention and getting waited on by "Karen" (probably late 40's/early 50's) - who was improperly wearing her facemask (not covering her nose) - and was busy yammering on to her young charge (young male, early 20's) about some "inflated Covid-19 death tolls" conspiracy theory (from the sound of it), mentioning a specific story she had read online. She seemed quite perturbed by it all. I asked her what news outlet was reporting this and she said she couldn't remember ... but that her friend had sent it to her on Facebook. At that point I just laughed ... which seemed to make her even more perturbed as she then hurried off to go get the portion of my order that they had pulled. After she returned with it, I told her that I also needed to pick up block (and the geogrid) but wasn't going to take all the block - at which point she said the geogrid was outside (it's actually in the covered garden area, not "outside") and she would send someone over with a forklift. I think that was the first time I had to wait like 25 minutes (and call order pick up again ... twice, after they didn't pick up the phone the first time) for the guy to show up with the tow motor to load me. By the time the block loading fiasco was over, I had forgotten the geogrid.

So it was recorded that I had picked up the geogrid when I actually hadn't ...

Today I followed the advice of the guys at the building materials desk to resolve that (and the block that I had purchased that they didn't actually have) by leaving the yard and going through the gate - where theoretically the guard correctly recorded that I had picked up 29 blocks (and was still due 149) - and then went back in the front to customer service to get a credit for the geogrid and the blocks they couldn't deliver.

Slight problem however: the guy at the guard shack had recorded that I had picked up 149 blocks ... and was still due 29 ... the exact reverse of what had occurred ... :confused2:

Fortunately the nice young lady at the customer service was a real trooper and got the geogrid and the block issues sorted out ... after first mistakenly issuing me a credit for 151 blocks ... rather than just 149 that I didn't pick up ... :confused2: (I did have her laughing and wishing me a nice day by the time I left ... :laughing

The Cuyahoga Falls and New Philly stores are supposed to have a decent amounts of the block in stock (and the geogrid) ... assuming they actually have them ...

Did manage to get another 3 gallons of stain, still not sure that's enough - need to chase up the house blueprints and calculate the square footage. Grabbed four more tubes of caulk and two more tubes of landscape block adhesive ... plus the stuff on the order that I had placed online.

The insanity of it all was enough to make me decide I deserved a large frozen coffee from Dunkin on the way home ...

When I got home I found that The Woman had pretty much gotten all the weeding done over in that west planting bed ... I just need to put the bucket on tomorrow and gather up all the debris and take it up to the compost pile ...

Last thing I did before I came in was take the trash and recycles up to the road.

Hope everyone had a great day.

LOL ... yeah ... just a bit.

OBD connector was a complete PITA - hot and muggy even though I was in the shade, and on my back half in the car, half out - until I got smart and removed the panel that it mounted on. After that it was a piece of cake ... although it did not really mount all that securely and could be prone to coming loose again when disconnecting a reader. Told The Woman to tell the tech at E-Check if he knocks it loose we're suing ...

Never had okra in gumbo ... but can't think of any reason why I wouldn't like it (actually sounds kinda good ... :licking:)
