wow Jim that's very troubling. I was told no connection of monitor to anything in me, just a small incision, they slide the gizmo in and that's it, unlike my port used for chemo infusion which had to be connected to major vein/artery? in neck. They said I would go to cardiologist monthly and they would pull the data from the unit.
I sure am going to call on Monday and get confirmation on that. Greatly appreciate hearing your experience.
I had an external monitor used on me in hospital which was basically two sided tape to my skin and at end of two weeks I mailed the gadget back to company and they
created a report to my cardiologist. Which btw said zero AFib. I was told this new device was just a longer term version of that implanted under my skin for up to a year.
If it is anything but that, unlikely I will proceed.

My heart study Apple watch has an app for A-fib and it can be sent to the cardiologist through your iPhone.

Can Apple Watch detect atrial fibrillation?
But detection of the disease could soon be as easy as a glance at your wrist. Heart rate data gathered by an Apple Watch can be used to detect atrial fibrillation (AFib), according to researchers who used an artificial intelligence-based algorithm to analyze information from the watch.

77F and sunny @ 12:00 with a predicted high of 84F and 0% chance of precipitation. No rain predicted for Sunday or Monday either, but the next 7 days after that each have a chance of rain ranging from 30% to 60%.

Blue Jays, Northern Flickers, and other woodpeckers feasting at the nugget feeder this morning while I had my coffee.

Sounds like I should be good to go on the straightened mower blade ... I'll check it over for cracks before I install it just to be on the safe side. Typically, I disengage the PTO if anyone has to approach while I'm on the mower. Thanks for the input ...

First things on menu for today is finalize and place Menards order, then degrease MMM and hose it off, hose off live trap, and water west planting bed. Maybe water blueberry bushes as well ... if they need it.

After that probably finish sanding auger rack, install 4 x 4's on bottom and coat it all with BLO.

At some point finish grading around catch basin, get it seeded, and covered with straw ... and also squeeze in a little time for further responses to this thread ... :D

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

There's quite a few on YouTube...some holiday related (Christmas especially) which I'll play on the TV.
Rain and snow sounds are very relaxing, especially in the evening or when going to bed. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Years ago we bought CDs of nature sounds combined with light music. Waterfalls, creeks, raining, ocean.

Good morning, a much cooler start to the day at 17C/63F, with a fine mist to wet my face as soon as I walked out of the door. Baler is coming late this afternoon, hopefully the sun will be out by midday to dry the hay out, it was looking promising yesterday.

Kyle, you must be one of the richest people in Texas, with a life that is filled with the things that money can't buy.

Wng, some will be impressed that you were willing to carry a truck battery that far - I was even more impressed that you had the correct size spanner (Edit oops, wrench) with you to make the change !

Yes Eric, some things you can't put a price on. BTW, I can't use counting sheep as a means to slumber since you've posted that photo of angry sheep....Looks like that field produced a tremendous amount of forage. Hoping it gets adequately dried before baling.

The offer still stands for your grandson to come over for a couple weeks of "finishing school" Texas style.

74 going to 88, probably more storms...got 2.2" yesterday...ground quite soggy...we've gone from famine to feast in a week.

Speaking of wildfires, lightning hit barely off our property up the road in yesterday's storm, 5 to 10 minutes before any rain arrived. I went to look for fire, but didn't see any and then it rained over 2 inches.

Things went great at the dentist...until I tried to start he truck...I noticed when we left home that the engine starting sounded weak. Fortunately, I was only a block from the auto parts store, so walked over and bought a replacement...not the battery I would have picked if I was out shopping, but it did the job. Carrying it a block back to the truck wore me out. I could tell I've lost some strength since the gym closed in March. Then I had to pick my wife up where I'd dropped her off at the grocery store, hoping her frozen items were still cold.

Forgot to post this snake pic yesterday from my hike at the park...I've nicknamed a number of places in the park where I often hike, but needed a nickname for this spot...now called Copper Hill. First copperhead I've seen in over 5 years.

When it rains, it pours...Seems like not long ago you were saying the creek was dry....glad you got your battery replaced without having to get a tow. hope Coco is getting better.

64 high close to 90 alot of storms around yesterday but mostly missed it is the weekend

Prayers for all

Yes, Buppsmaster is up waaay to early. I need a nap.

Buppies is up early.

Too much shoulder pain so I’m in the chair again. Need to do Some tractor work later today.

Hope you get some rest somehow. And get some treatment for that shoulder. I just talked to a guy, who said 3 guys quit (including him) where they worked, because some company bought them out and overworked them....much of it needless overhead work.

Prayers out for my peeps...and our country.

PS. Billy, that was a copperhead. We dispatch them here anytime we see them. They don't rattle before they bite, and they'll hide in garden, waiting for some poor soul to come and pick the green beans.

See if you can get a make and model number for it, Drew, then use google to search for an owner's or installation manual. Ideally both. Research the company, too, to find out how long they've been in business, if they've had any recalls, and how solvent they are.

You know, just like we do when we're trying to see how good one of Rick's new gizmos really is...

I can tell I’m in Afib by just feeling my pulse.
I wore the taped on heart monitor for a couple weeks a few months after my first Ablation. Unfortunately the instructions were confusing and I was supposed to press something to mark when I thought I was in afib, but i apparently did it wrong. They did see afib, did another Ablation and he never had me come back.
I’ve been non afib since at all of my Dr visits.

I did go back to bed around 730 and got a little more sleep.

Then been trying to get MIL’s kubota started. It won’t attempt to turn over. I visually checked the safety switches, but way too tight to get a meter in to check. Forget about getting to the hydro pedal switch or the speed select one. The seat one is already bypassed, and the pto one has no slack in wiring to pull the connector, but easy to get to. Forgot to bring jumper cables.
Then I found this connector on top of engine with no apparent place it should connect.
IMG_6223.JPG
Also found the metal bracket for air filter is broken off in 2 places.
IMG_6220.JPG

I plan to buy the BX23 from her.

Then she has an old wheel horse riding mower that she uses to ride down to mailbox and back, it quit on her in the yard. Gas tank totally empty, but it won’t attempt to start either. Put gas in, tightened lose positive battery cable, still nothing. Seat switch checked out ok, but didn’t lay in the mud to get to the hydo switch.

So I’m 0 for 2 in helping her. I did get more string on her trimmer.

That sounds like an entirely different deal and can be removed if need be. I hope it is beneficial to you if you go forward with it. As a humorous aside, the next time I saw my cardiologist after the procedure he was driving a brand new, shiny red Tesla. I told my wife "Well at least he got something out of the deal".

I prefer the top tractor, it looks like it gets used so that one must be the good one, the bottom one must be junk since all it gets is washed and waxed, washed so it can be fixed and waxed so it will sell and or give away to my charity.

That PetAZ Transparent Chainsaw Sharpener must be a new product, it appears that it's only sold by Amazon, so maybe it's only made by Amazon with Amazon package handlers in their spare time. I cant find a thing about it on youtube and youtube has everything.........

There's dozens of similar, on Amazon .. same for eBay.

Good Morning!!!! 71F @ 6:15AM. Abundant sunshine. High near 100F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Color me confused on the chain sharpener, Rick. The video link went to a Stihl product that uses files, while the Amazon link went to one that uses little stones. Then the ebay link goes to what looks like a Chinese knock off of the Stihl tool. :pullinghair: Which one are you using? I like the looks of the Stihl tool, not so much the plastic thingy with the stones.

:welcome: to GM, Mark! Didn't know Bushog made a tractor...:confused2:

Glad the neighbors are cool with Gray2's hunting, Don. Lots of folks, and I'm one of 'em, don't like finding kitty surprises in their flower beds...

Hope you find your flyswatter soon, Drew. I already know you'll enjoy your evening... Will you be sharpening mower blades for dessert?

Sounds like your battery picked the best of all possible times to fail, Billy, even though you got a bit of a workout. Could have taken a shopping cart, but you might have been confused with a homeless person trying to steal one...:confused3: "But officer, I was going to bring it right back!"

Sounds more like it's issues with the way various websites implement passwords, David, and not so much MacOS or iOS. Apple has always been the redheaded stepchild, and I don't think most software developers even test their products using Apple phones or computers. It's sure nice when they do, though, as I really like being able to login with a fingerprint. I've taken to requiring two factor authentication for my financial accounts, even though most of them have easy ways around it. Can't be too careful with my life savings...

That's a lot of hay, Eric. Where will you put it all?

Ron, do they make a Clapper that'll help you find your glasses? There's a thing called a Tile that uses RFID to do so...

We just slipped into severe drought up here too, Ted. Not unusual for this time of year. Fifties at night? I can only dream about that this time of year!

Got the hatch on the firetruck primed and painted yesterday in spite of the heat. Paint dried almost as soon as it hit, so maybe that's why I didn't get any runs. Almost forgot about having to weld one of the water lines back on first, then couldn't find the part, which made it even warmer up there when it was finally ready. Warm enough that it was time to spend the rest of the day in the A/C.

The smog referee called back, and it was really bad news. First he tells me that since I didn't use all the pieces in the motor swap kit, it wouldn't pass smog because they won't accept any deviations from the parts list specified on the Executive Order (EO) that covers the kit. Then he tells me that the Vanagon is classified as a truck, and I'm not allowed to put a Subaru car engine in it. So I thanked him for his time and started researching what he said. That involved tracking two separate "smog manuals", and finding the latest updated version of the EO. What I haven't found yet is the classification system by which the van is being called a truck. But what I did find is what seems to be an exception in the EO that allows parts substitution as long as it doesn't effect the effectiveness of emission control system, and substituting a bell housing for a mounting plate between engine and transaxle certainly does not. I also found contact info for the person/organization that is apparently making the rules, so there's another thread to pull on. Also got a call from a buddy that lives in Washington state, who turns out to be more than willing to help me establish residency up there and "rent" his mailbox to me to receive registration renewal notices...

Still need to get the oak floor grates back up on the firetruck this morning, and do a little more grading/gravel spreading on its parking spot, but I should be able to get that done and the truck moved off the driveway today. That'll be a relief.

Hope everyone has a restful but productive weekend!

It's two different sharpeners. I bought the plastic one to see if it would work, on an old chain .. it did.

I mowed this afternoon, when I was near finished I crossed a small swale on the front by the road at an angle and downhill. Well it high centered on me like a terrapin on a fence post. After thirty seconds of spinning the right front and left rear in a near panic, I remembered the differential lock. Pushed the pedal and backed right up the hill. I’ve had tractors with diff locks for 30-35 years, why I didn’t think of it right away is beyond me.
