I’d try that!

Me too! you might have to eat it with a fork but warm homemade cornbread, plus bbq, yes that sounds finger licking good

90 degrees out at 7:30pm, yikes. Friends in Delaware and PA said huge storm came through, headed into New York now

Fingers crossed, crops need it, hope it doesn't come as too much of a gully washer.
Went out this afternoon and put in several water cuts on the driveway, may have jinxed us.
78 degrees and 70% humidity here at 7:40 and it's been cloudy most of the day.

SpeedAire runs! Made by Dayton in Chicago long ago.

I had to go buy some new 12/3 so insulated wire, and a cable grip $22. , gasket material , $12. , Grommets $3.75 , yellow wire terminals $3. , Permatex 2 $6 , qt of Valvoline non detergent 30 WT oil $6. ,. And maybe 12 hours of my cheap labor $.02

those are just stains on the cylinder walls. Nothing you can feel.

She pumps up to 124 and shuts off, then comes back on at about 90psi. So much better noise level than the buzz bomb.

I'm actually going to let it run, get hot, and change the fresh oil out for some even fresher, to help get any debris out of the sump.

Drew, if you're happy, we're happy. (But I feel like we should sneak over there and pick a couple pieces of fruit from the orchard)

Good grief it's hot! Over 100F, not much breeze. Heat index up to 108F

We need rain. Only about 1" in the last month.

BuzzBomb compressor update: I finally got a return email from Campbell Hausfield saying the parts I need are obsolete and they won't be making any more. Jack legs.

I need to fabricate a piston ring for the oil less unit. I can't tell what type of molded plastic they used. It looks kind of olive green and maybe some copper or graphite in it??? I will probably take a stab at making a PEEK ring, but I don't have any round bar stock over 2.5" diameter and I need 2.510" So, I might have to mill it on the CNC mill and interpolate the fillets.

75F and partly cloudy @ 21:30. Had a shower come through earlier around 19:00, don't know how much we got, but it was decent ... still could use another 3 or 4 of them though.

Sparrow trap put back together, baited, and placed out in the front yard:

Hoping for a big haul tomorrow ...

Still need to secure the trap to the base board.

Saw the bluebird parents taking food to their nestlings while I was up there. Used the flashlight app on my phone to light up the inside of the nest box (to avoid opening it) to see if I could see anything ... a couple of fuzzy bluish heads just at the bottom edge of the slot ... I expect they are close to fledging.

Looking forward to the cooler temps.

Hope everyone had a good day.

It has finally cooled off here (if you call 82 cool), a LOT better that the 103 this afternoon.

Kyle, congrats on getting the speedaire up and running. I have a Rol-Aire portable compressor that I bought in '92.... still runs / operates great... all on original parts. I did change the oil religiously. My other compressor is a HF "US General" 60 gal. Which I purchased in '96. No problems with that one either, probably change the oil on that one about every 2 months.

Drew, CONGRATS on the closing! One more box checked off!

I was fortunate enough to get a bunch of the planes hung up in the hobby shack... definitely not enough space! The fleet will be getting dwindled down, maybe sooner than I originally thought. Started thinking about all the small pieces/parts that need to find homes... during a break, researched small clear containers. Wally World had a pack of ten - shoe box size - for $7.98. So off to pick a couple of sets... 20 should be enough for the parts....I know what I will be doing tomorrow in the shade...

Everyone have a great evening

RS doen't sound like the Women is happy.

Yeah ... I talked to her later ... apparently she may have been "confused" (her words, not mine)

Probably not enough coffee ...

Do you have issues with well very often?

Only in the summer, during extended dry periods ... and usually only after excessive water use.

Good to hear you can work indoors

Could have but didn't ... it really wasn't all that bad in the shade.

RS little kids!

RS field looks dry hope you get the sparrows under control.

Yeah ... it is very dry.

I need to put a dent in the house sparrow population and hopefully get the male before I kill off the chicks in nest box no. 3 ...

Otherwise he may go psycho and go after the bluebirds and their nestlings:

Bluebird Conservation

Good luck on the Volagi and stay safe ...
