BEF, it just passed through here, and still getting spotty showers. Had a little over 2 of rain and strong gusty winds, which we still have.

I saw your clouds, I saw a lot more sun though. Nothing here. Ground is parched. Will have to get the hose into the pool. Water level is THAT low.

Nice breeze, now and then.

Didn't do anything of use today. Taxes kind of got me down. Sigh....

91F and completely overcast @ 16:30. A couple of intermittent sprinkles so far but nothing to really write home about.

Looks like the 2.1” is it, sun and clouds now, but still have strong gusty winds.
We needed the rain for sure.

When I was growing up in Camden County, NC, we had roasting ears by July 4 as a rule. Of course we planted in early April.

Here’s a picture of my uncle’s corn around 1958. That was in what is now Chesapeake, VA across the Dismal Swamp canal.

I use to work in Sunbury, and went to Ahoskie many times. Use to be a little greasy spoon there that sold a fish sandwich called a WhaleBurger.

One of my favorites was / is Bunny's BBQ down the road in Windsor. You can get a BBQ sammich on corn bread slices... Oh MY ...
