72F cloudy sprinkle ever now than humidity increasing.

Ceilings back side of the house are finally painted :dance1: just have to hire artist with steady hand paint living dinning kitchen area...Mrs. said and that's fine with me.
Side Note... Do Not Attempt Painting With Kittens Around. :mur:
No plans for this evening other than setting flood light sensor hot shower belly full of grub and fluffing the pillow early.

Enjoy the evening all.

I use no ethanol gas in the mowers. I add 4 oz.Seafoam /5 gal. gas to stabilize it. I have been thinking I should throw some in the cars which we are using so much less but I keep forgetting.

I have a fuel leak in the chainsaw. Has anyone had a fuel leak in their chainsaw, Where should I look first? I noticed it when I was filling it up at the park and it was on it's side with the fuel cap up, my tailgate had gas on it, I did not spill, and it ran afterwards but the new bulb would not fill. ????

If it's a Stihl, I'd start with the fuel line in the tank and follow it to the carb. The new gas really tears up that rubber.

Sussed out what I think will be the best approach.

Chased out the screw holes in one half of the vise with a 1/4-20 starter tap.

After really eyeing up how much meat is really there, I ran down to the local hardware store and picked up four 1" x 1/4-20 socket head capscrews. (Just for reference I don't think the originals screw were even a 1/2" long)

After turning down the head on one of the screws in the drill press with a file, I started drilling the holes in the one vise half deeper ...

Drill one hole, then the other ... then use a probe to check depth. Then run the starter tap in, followed by the plug tap.

Repeat that cycle several times to get to the point where there is enough depth to screw the screw all the way in, so that it's countersunk in the jaw:

I still have to drill and tap two holes the other side of the vise, turn down the heads on the other three screws, and deepen the countersinks on on three of the screw holes in the jaws ... but I think this is going to work pretty well, as it probably more than doubles the amount of thread available over what was there previously.

Probably just secure the screws with Loctite blue.

Drilling out the other half will be a little trickier, since it will have be clamped down to the welding table somehow ... since I don't have a functioning vise ...

fuel lines. Maybe can buy a kit that has the lines that run two and from the tank/carb/breather, and the rubber plug that goes into the tank. It might come with a new plunger bulb too.

Drew, you keep taking care of yourself. Glad social healthcare worker is there. Prayers.

I'm having problems with our manual lathe at work. Hired an expensive technician to come repair it. Put 1 new shaft and bearings in place, only to find out it needs more bearings put onto other shafts. Ordered 5 more bearings today. Cleaned out headstock's sump. I want to put an inline oil filter on it, to remove any particles. There are linkages inside and outside the headstock connecting the forward/reverse and emergency brake pedal. The inside is very similar to a Clausing Colchester, but a bit different.

Good progress PJS.

LS, is that the new "dog house".

RNG, sorry for the termoils....if you want something done right....

It seems that electronic bug zappers are in short supply here, I repaired my old one that needed some insulators to keep space between the inner and outer electrified cages. Sprayed some roundup on some weeds, and cleaned/unclogged 2 drains in my house....hair....

Riding lawnmower needs a new battery. I charged it a few weeks ago and it was OK, but my daughter went to start it today and it's dead again. Sticker shows mfg date of 7/14, so I guess it's due replacement. I'm charging it again, hope it will start 1 more time. Yard needs cutting.

Was getting pretty worked up with the stuff people was putting on FB tonight. Was like FP which I wanted no part of. So went out for a walk, another nice sunset.
IMG_4784.JPG
But after the sun went below the horizon it got even better off to the left IMG_4790.JPG

Off to the north east was a pretty cloud, that later had a pretty pink in it. And then I saw lightning flashing thru it.

Looked on the radar, this was a large storm cell between York and Lancaster PA roughly 60 crow miles away.

Good evening all. 70F for the start, partly cloudy light breeze. Some more clouds added during day, wind became moderate with some sustained gusts, and high temp was 91F. Mid 90's till Monday then low 90's, slight chance of rain Monday. Bike ride this morning, slow start so it got warm. After nap worked on wife's bike, tires pumped up, battery replaced in speedo and recalibrated. Lubed pedals, chain, derailleurs, then adjusted them, cables probably need replacement but they are shifting much better.
